Kdysi tu žili lidé, ale to už je hodně dávno. Z ruin je cítit, že se zde stalo něco hrozného. Děsivé stíny, šepot nemrtvých. Říká se, že je někde blízko vstup do záhrobí. Stačí poslouchat poctivý death metal a brána se vám otevře. Stalo se, měl jsem s sebou totiž novou desku finských TRAMALIZER. Kapely, která ctí staré pořádky a hraje tak, že vám zmrzne krev v žilách. Otevřu rezavou bránu a vstoupím dovnitř. Do hlavy se mi zaryje další riff.
Rád se přehrabuji ve starých death metalových spisech. Čtu si o kapelách, které už dávno neexistují. A nebo s chutí podpořím nové, které hrají poctivě, syrově, reálně. TRAMALIZER mi ihned pronikli do žil. Víka od rakví začala praskat a já věděl, že tahle nahrávka bude dlouho mojí společnicí v temnotě. Inferno!
Finové se volně inspirovali ve švédské metalové škole (DISMEMBER, NIHILIST, ENTOMBED). Zazní ale i odkazy na BOLT THROWER, AUTOPSY, CANCER. Základem jejich hudby jsou pradávné postupy devadesátých letech minulého století nebo i dřívější ozvěny. Ovlivněni touto dobou, vložili do svých skladeb i klasický thrash metal. Vše je pak zabaleno v chladném, temném a devastujícím zvuku (K. Laanto). Parádní je i obal, pod kterým je podepsán mistr (Niko Partanen). Jedná se o debut, ale není to vůbec znát. Muzikanti mají ve svých životopisech již nějaké extrémní metalové zkušenosti a povedlo se jim je zúročit a určit nový směr - do pekla! Líbí se mi rukopis kapely, který je rozeznatelný od jiných. Což je v dnešní době nadprodukce velkou devízou. TRAMALIZER se s tím nepářou, rozsekají vás na kusy, ale nezapomínají ani na studené melodie. Dostanete tak nahrávku, ke které se budete rádi vracet. Alespoň tak to slyším já, starý metalový pes. Opravdu mám pocit, že se procházím po dávno opuštěném pohřebišti, nasávám atmosféru a čtu si jména na náhrobcích. "Fumes Of Funeral Pyres" nejlépe vynikne, když se setmí a mraky jsou nízko. Přijímám s chutí pozvání a vstupuji na onen svět. Takhle zní pravé peklo! Morbidní, čerstvě exhumovaný, death metalový hrob!

They say there's an entrance to the beyond somewhere nearby. Just listen to honest death metal and the gate will open. It happened, because I had with me the new album of Finnish TRAMALIZER. A band that honours the old ways and plays in a way that freezes your blood. I open the rusty gate and step inside. Another riff gets stuck in my head.
I like to dig through the old death metal files. Reading about bands that don't exist anymore. Or I'll gladly support new ones that play honest, raw, real. TRAMALIZER immediately got into my veins. The coffin lid began to crack and I knew this record would be my companion in the dark for a long time. Inferno!
The Finns have been freely inspired by the Swedish school of metal (DISMEMBER, NIHILIST, ENTOMBED), but there will also be references to BOLT THROWER, AUTOPSY, CANCER. The basis of their music is the ancient practices of the nineties or even earlier echoes. Influenced by this era, they put into their songs also classic thrash metal. Everything is then wrapped in a cold, dark and devastating sound (K. Laanto). The cover art is also awesome, signed by the master (Niko Partanen). This is a debut, but it doesn't seem to be noticeable at all. The musicians already have some extreme metal experiences in their resumes and they managed to capitalize on them and set a new direction - to hell! I like the signature of the band, which is recognizable from others. Which is a great asset in these days of overproduction. TRAMALIZER chop you to pieces, but they don't forget about cold melodies either. You'll get a record you'll love coming back to. At least that's how I, an old metal dog, hear it. I really feel like I'm walking through a long-abandoned graveyard, soaking up the atmosphere and reading the names on the tombstones. "Fumes Of Funeral Pyres" is at its best when it's dark and the clouds are low. I accept the invitation with gusto and enter the other world. This is what hell sounds like! A morbid, freshly exhumed, death metal grave!
