Vždycky jsem si naivně myslel, že jsou lidé ze své podstaty dobří. Jenže jsem se mýlil. Nevím, co se to poslední dobou děje, ale mám pocit, že se topíme ve shnilé bažině zlých lidských myšlenek. Nechají vás utopit a ještě se budou dívat a natáčet to. Zbyla už jenom špína, hnis a ošklivé názory. A o tom je a vždy býval i death metal. Ten pravý, prašivý, který hrají finští GOREKAUST. Vždy šlo hlavně o to, jak zničit zlo.
O kapele jsem již jednou psal (odkaz na recenzi je dole pod článkem) a musím rovnou říci, že novinka je krásně morbidním pokračováním. Opět ucítíte chlad a smrad z dávno opuštěných kobek. Základem jsou primitivní smrtící riffy, hnis a nenávist.
Pokud máte rádi staré pohřebiště a jejich krásně temnou atmosféru, pokud potřebujete uniknout ze současného světa plného divnosti, neváhejte ani chvilku. Finové sice neobjevují nic nového, ale je radost je poslouchat. Člověk si zavzpomíná na časy, kdy s hudbou začínal. Smrt se toulá kolem, svůdně se usmívá a má čerstvě nabroušenou kosu. Démoni souhlasně přikyvují hlavou a Satan, ta stará děvka, vše potvrzuje. Pokaždé, když na mě padne splín, pokaždé, když je mi smutno, tak si pustím "Ancient Halls of Emptiness" a znovu spatřím dlouhé stíny. Jsem rád v přítomnosti nahrávky, užívám si její zkažený zvuk, s chutí se znovu a znovu dívám na obal. Jasně, je to underground toho nejhrubšího zrna, ale vše je uvěřitelné, zahrané od srdce. Do ulic zase vyšel tupý dav. Touží po černé, zkažené krvi. Připomíná zombie, které vylezly z exhumovaných hrobů. Přirovnávat vám muziku GOREKAUST k někomu jinému dělat nebudu, raději si udělejte názor sami podle vložených ukázek. Až jednou budete zase unaveni ze světa kolem, navštivte tuhle hrobku a přidejte pořádně hlasitost. Z hlediska starého hudebního archeologa je album rozhodně v pořádku. Vždycky jsem si naivně myslel, že jsou lidé ze své podstaty dobří. Jenže jsem se mýlil. Nevím, co se to poslední dobou děje, ale mám pocit, že se topíme ve shnilé bažině zlých lidských myšlenek. Pusťte jim "Ancient Halls of Emptiness"! Death metal ve značném stádiu rozkladu!

I've already written about the band once before (link to the review is below the article) and I have to say straight away that the new one is a beautifully morbid continuation. Once again you can feel the cold and the stench of long abandoned dungeons. Primitive death riffs, pus and hatred are the basis.
If you like old burial grounds and their beautifully dark atmosphere, if you need to escape from the contemporary world full of strangeness, don't hesitate a moment. The Finns may not be discovering anything new, but they are a joy to listen to. It makes you remember the times when you started with music. Death is wandering around, smiling seductively and with a freshly sharpened scythe. The demons nod their heads in agreement and Satan, the old bitch, confirms everything. Every time a full moon falls on me, every time I feel sad, I put on "Ancient Halls of Emptiness" and see the long shadows again. I am happy in the presence of the record, enjoying its wicked sound, looking at the cover again and again with relish. Sure, it's underground of the coarsest grain, but it's all believable, played from the heart. The dumb crowd has taken to the streets again. They're out for black, bad blood. It's like zombies crawling out of exhumed graves. I'm not going to compare GOREKAUST's music to anyone else's, better make up your own mind by the embedded samples. Once you get tired of the world around you again, visit this tomb and turn up the volume properly. From the point of view of an old music archaeologist, the album is definitely okay.
