Stíny tě pronásledovaly již nějaký čas. Bál ses ohlédnout dozadu. Osamocený, uprostřed davu jsi cítil chlad. Jakoby město přikryl černý mrak. Z nebe pršela krev a v kostech ti praskal mráz. Démoni temnoty šeptali svá jedovatá slova a lákali tě na druhou stranu. Vezmi do rukou žiletku a sedni si do studené vody. Rozdrásán, zničen a bez duše se potácíš mezi naším a oním světem již nějakou dobu. Kdy bude konec? Ptáš se stále dokola. Odpověď ale nepřichází.
Dánští doom death metalisté DEAD VOID ale některé nezodpovězené otázky přetvořili v hudbu. Jedná se o první dlouhohrající album kapely, která jej musela nahrávat na nějakém starém opuštěném hřbitově. Jinak si nedovedu vysvětlit chlad a absolutní tmu, kterou ze skladeb slyším. Konečně jsem nalezl cestu. Do záhrobí, na onen svět.
Hudba DEAD VOID vznikala na stejných pohřebištích, jako tvorba smeček typu INCANTATION, CIANIDE, WINTER, GRAVE MIASMA, ATARAXIE. Novinka má velmi pochmurnou, prašivou atmosféru. Doslova stvořenou pro posluchače, kteří se rádi a často ztrácejí v mlze, toulají se po opuštěných prokletých místech a rádi nasávají smutné a zákeřné nálady. Oceňuji uvěřitelný, čitelný a zároveň plesnivý zvuk. Sestupuji spolu s kapelou do hlubokého sklepa. Tady je někde vchod do jiné, šílené dimenze. Dívám se na svět z jiné perspektivy. Ano, v těchto chvílích vynikne "Volatile Forms" nejlépe. Prosévám mezi prsty prach svých předků, podávám ruku nemrtvým. Kdysi na tom byli jako já. Samotní a opuštění. Konečně jsme našli klid. Díky muzice, díky pradávným rituálům. Dánové hrají od srdce, mrazivě a s velkou energií v riffech. Otevíráme stará těla a nacházíme uvnitř jenom zkažené orgány. Záhadné choroby, zlem nasáklé vnitřnosti. Nedokážu být zavřený doma, musím si nasadit sluchátka a uprostřed noci vyhledat místa, na kterých nahrávka vynikne nejlépe. Skladby zní do noci, v tichých ulicích, nebo daleko za městem, kde ze tmy září oči bestií. Troufám si tvrdit, že se deska povedla po všech stránkách. Je skvěle napsána, má v sobě pradávnou sílu a drive. Hoří černým plamenem. Takhle zní ozvěny ze záhrobí! Death doom metalový nářek nemrtvých!

But Danish doom death metallers DEAD VOID have turned some unanswered questions into music. This is the first full-length album from a band that had to record it in an old abandoned cemetery. Otherwise, I can't explain the coldness and absolute darkness I hear from the songs. I finally found my way. To the beyond, to the other world.
DEAD VOID's music was created in the same burial grounds as the work of bands like INCANTATION, CIANIDE, WINTER, GRAVE MIASMA, ATARAXIE. The new album has a very gloomy, dusty atmosphere. Literally made for listeners who like and often get lost in the fog, wander around abandoned cursed places and like to soak up sad and insidious moods. I appreciate the believable, legible yet mouldy sound. I descend with the band into the deep basement. Somewhere in here is the entrance to another, crazy dimension. I'm looking at the world from a different perspective. Yes, it's in these moments that "Volatile Forms" stands out best. I sift the dust of my ancestors through my fingers, shake hands with the undead. They were once like me. Alone and abandoned. We've finally found peace. Through music, through ancient rituals. The Danes play from the heart, chilling and with great energy in the riffs. We open old bodies and find only rotten organs inside. Mysterious diseases, evil-soaked entrails. I can't be locked up at home, I have to put on my headphones and in the middle of the night find the places where the record stands out the best. The tracks sound into the night, in quiet streets, or far outside the city, where the eyes of beasts glow from the darkness. I dare to say that the record succeeds in every aspect. It is well written, has an ancient power and drive. It burns with a black flame. This is what echoes from beyond the grave sound like! The death doom metal wail of the undead!
