Měl jsem pocit, že mi popraskaly všechny kosti v těle. Pomalu jsem se měnil v prach. Ztratil jsem se ve věčnosti a moje duše bloudila v temnotě. Někdy mívám divné sny. Nevím pak, co je pravda a co se mi jenom zdálo. Nejsou to vyloženě noční můry, ale spíše jemné, mrazivé záblesky. Podobně se cítím i u poslechu nové desky maniaka ROGGY JOHANSSONA. Mám většinu z jeho mnoha kapela doopravdy rád. I když samozřejmě vím, že jsou si navzájem velmi podobné a ani novinka není výjimkou.
Základem je opět notoricky známý švédský death metal, tentokrát spíše pomalejší a přístupnější, melodičtější. Kombinace smutku, melancholie, severských plání a mrazu funguje. Jen se musíte naladit na tu správnou notu. Nic nového v záhrobí, neurazí, ale ani nenadchne. Přesto jsou chvíle, kdy si album opravdu užívám.
Na "Inside the Otherwhere" musím mít opravdu náladu. A ano, je velmi těžké rozeznat jednotlivé Roggovy kapely od sebe. Méně je někdy více a já vlastně ani nevím, proč si novinku pouštím a nalezl jsem si k ní cestu. Možná je to v úvodu zmiňovaná melancholie, určitý smutek, který létá všude kolem. Novinka je spíše klidnějším death metalem. Přesto řeže a pálí. Původně jsem o tomhle díle ani nechtěl psát, ale pak jsem jej poslouchal jeden den, pak druhý, neustále se k němu vracel a i když pro mě bylo spíše kulisou, myslím si, že by se mělo na mých stránkách objevit. Možná zapadne a ocení jej jen pár fanoušků, ale to přeci nevadí. Muzika je hlavně o emocích, o předané energii. Netřeba pořád hledat něco novátorského a objevného. ROGGU JOHANSSONA si pouštím, když si čtu, když chci mít klid, když je mi dobře. Nebo když se probudím a zdálo se mi o zimě, o nekonečných toulkách v temnotě. Ztratil jsem se ve věčnosti a moje duše bloudila v temnotě Pak zazní první riff, první melodie a já tak nějak podvědomě vím, že jsem zde správně. Myslím, že v tomto případě platí více než kdy jindy, že je lepší poslouchat, než o muzice psát. Buď se vám novinka bude líbit a nebo ne. Je to jako vždy hlavně na vás. Za mě dobrý. Ne skvělý, ale v pořádku. Severský death metalový vítr!

I don't know then what's true and what's just a dream. They're not outright nightmares, but rather subtle, chilling flashes. I feel the same way listening to the new album by the maniac ROGGA JOHANSSON. I really like most of his many bands. Though of course I know they are very similar to each other and the new one is no exception.
The basis is again the notorious Swedish death metal, this time rather slower and more accessible, more melodic. The combination of sadness, melancholy, Nordic plains and frost works. You just have to tune in to the right note. Nothing new in the backwoods, it doesn't offend but it doesn't delight either. Still, there are times when I really enjoy the album.
I really have to be in the mood for "Inside the Otherwhere". And yes, it's very hard to tell the different Rogg bands apart. Less is sometimes more, and I don't really know why I listen to a new album and find my way to it. Maybe it's the melancholy mentioned in the introduction, a certain sadness that flies all around. The novelty is more like a calmer death metal. Yet it cuts and burns. Originally I didn't even want to write about this track, but then I listened to it one day, then the next, kept coming back to it, and even though it was more of a backdrop for me, I think it should be featured on my site. It might fit in and be appreciated by a few fans, but that's okay. Music is all about emotions, about the energy transmitted. No need to keep looking for something new and innovative. I listen to ROGGA JOHANSSON when I'm reading, when I want to be calm, when I'm feeling good. Or when I wake up and dream of winter, of endless wanderings in the dark. I felt like every bone in my body had cracked. I was slowly turning to dust. I think in this case, more than ever, it's better to listen than to write about music. Either you like the news or you don't. As always, it's mostly up to you. Good for me. Not great, but okay. Nordic death metal wind!
