Už zase vidíš přízraky, už zase máš děsivé sny. Navštívil si několik hřbitovů i opuštěných kostelů. Hledal si pravdu. Jak vypadá smrt? Jak se tváří démoni? Toulal ses podsvětím a hledal odpovědi na otázky. Poslouchal si novou desku polských death metalistů CORTEGE a tvé myšlenky byly černé jako duše prokletých. Věděl si, že již nikdy nenajdeš klid. Navěky se budeš toulat mezi naším a oním světem.
S touhle smečkou jsem se naposledy setkal u minulé nahrávky z roku 2016 ("Touching the Void" - odkaz na recenzi je dole pod článkem). Měl jsem tehdy několik drobných výhrad, ale letos se pánové přesně trefili do mého vkusu. Novinka řeže jako ostrý nůž a zároveň nepostrádá temnou atmosféru.
Základem je masivní, syrový a surový zvuk. Přidávány jsou černé, chladné a absolutně zabijácké ingredience. Jedná se přesně o takový ten druh masakru, který se vám po několika setkáních doslova vypálí do mozku. CORTEGE ctí polskou školu, ale vydávají se i na zajímavé a neotřelé výlety do jiných vod. Smrt má mnoho podob. V tomto případě je krutá, šílená, morbidní. Pokud máte rádi smrtící kov, který je starý a plesnivý, neváhejte ani chvilku. Dostanete pořádnou, poctivou porci syrového, shnilého masa. Budete se spolu s nočními můrami procházet ve zlých snech. Vždycky se mi nejvíc líbily nahrávky, které ve mě probouzejí otázky, rozjitří ve mě emoce. Poláci mi vymáchali ksicht v kaluži plné krve. Dusil jsem se a neustále přidával hlasitost. Svět není jen krásná reklama, ale také spousta temných zákoutí. V nich hraje album "Vandari". Je kulisou k pradávnému kultu, k rituálům, které nikdy neměly spatřit světlo světa. Smrdí sírou a zkaženou krví. Troufám si tvrdit, že se Polákům povedlo doslova zhmotnit příšery ze starých děsivých příběhů. Jejich hudba je ostrá, divoká, neklidná a má v sobě poctivý drive a sílu. Jak vypadá smrt? Jak se tváří démoni? Touláš se podsvětím a hledáš odpovědi na otázky. Nechal ses pozvat na výlet bez konce. Tajemný, magický, mlhavý. Jako tahle deska. Temný, zdrcující death metalový obřad!

I had a few minor reservations at the time, but this year the gentlemen exactly hit my taste. The novelty cuts like a sharp knife and at the same time does not lack a dark atmosphere.
The base is a massive, raw and raw sound. Black, cool and absolutely killer ingredients are added. This is exactly the kind of carnage that literally burns into your brain after a few encounters. CORTEGE honors the Polish school, but they also go on interesting and novel trips to other waters. Death has many forms. In this case, she is cruel, insane, morbid. If you like death metal that's old and moldy, don't hesitate a second. You get a good, honest serving of raw, rotten meat. You will walk in bad dreams together with nightmares. I've always liked the recordings the most, which awaken questions in me, awaken emotions in me. The Poles washed my face in a pool of blood. I choked and kept turning up the volume. The world is not only a beautiful advertisement, but also a lot of dark corners. The album "Vandari" plays in them. It is the backdrop to an ancient cult, to rituals that should never have seen the light of day. It stinks of sulfur and rotten blood. I dare to say that the Poles have managed to literally materialize the monsters from the old scary stories. Their music is sharp, wild, restless and has an honest drive and power. What does death look like? What do demons look like? You roam the underworld looking for answers to questions. You were invited on a trip without end. Mysterious, magical, foggy. Like this record. A dark, crushing death metal ceremony!
