Další rozdrcené lebky, další těla bez duše. Připomíná mi to tlakovou vlnu, která se vrátila po dlouhých letech. Zůstala po ní jenom nekonečná spoušť. Všechno je zničené, mrtvoly se rozkládají ve špinavém bahně. Přírodní katastrofu mi připomíná i návratové album legendárních thrash death metalových DEFLESHED ze Švédska. Jejich novinka je jako tsunami, které vás pohřbí zaživa.
Při podobných návratech bývám většinou velmi opatrný. V případě téhle smečky jsem si ale od začátku začal podupávat nohou do rytmu, kývat hlavou a bouchat pěstí do stolu. Skladby totiž stále obsahují velké množství třaskavé energie. Vaše ksichty budou rozdrceny!
Z nahrávky je cítit poctivost devadesátých let, ze kterých DEFLESHED kdysi vzešli. Mají bohatou a zajímavou historii. Pamětníci mi dají určitě za pravdu. Co já si vzpomínám a co mám jejich alba ve sbírce, tak se vždy jednalo o skvělý masakr, který vás nenechal na chvilku v klidu. Vždycky jsem si představoval malý klub, spoustu piva a mosh-pit pod pódiem. "Grind Over Matter" zkrátka řeže tou správnou stranou nože. Na desce naleznete spoustu zajímavých momentů, poctivý zvuk, tematický, klasický obal a hlavně obrovské množství energie. Pokud vám jako mě připadá poslední roky svět nějaký divný a nechápete jej, tak si pusťte pořádně nahlas letošní DEFLESHED. Popraskají vám všechny kosti v těle, vnitřnosti shnijí a mozek bude vystřelen z hlavy. Novinka má drive, sílu, takovou tu pradávnou jiskru, kterou známe všichni ze starých metalových dob. Navíc, a to je pro mě asi nejvíc důležité, mě baví album poslouchat, rád se k němu vracím a rvu si ho s chutí do hlavy. Samozřejmě pod tlakem. Pokud bychom pak měli k někomu tvorbu těchto švédských šílenců přirovnat, mohli bychom zmínit kapely jako THE CROWN, HATESPHERE, AT THE GATES, CARNAL FORGE. Další rozdrcené lebky, další těla bez duše. Jsem jedním z nich. Poslouchám totiž "Grind Over Matter"! Thrash death metalový zabijácký stroj, který vás rozemele na prach!

Everything destroyed, corpses decomposing in the filthy mud. The natural disaster reminds me of the comeback album of legendary thrash death metal DEFLESHED from Sweden. Their new album is like a tsunami that will bury you alive.
I'm usually very cautious with such comebacks. But in the case of this band I started stomping my foot to the beat, nodding my head and banging my fist on the table from the very beginning. Because the songs still contain a lot of crackling energy. Your faces will be crushed!
The record reeks of the 90s honesty from which DEFLESHED once emerged. They have a rich and interesting history. I'm sure the old-timers will agree. For as long as I can remember and as long as I have had their albums in my collection, it has always been a great massacre that doesn't leave you in peace for a moment. I always imagined a small club, lots of beer and mosh-pits under the stage. "Grind Over Matter" simply cuts with the right side of the knife. There are a lot of interesting moments, an honest sound, a thematic, classic cover and most importantly a huge amount of energy. If, like me, you find the world a bit weird and don't understand it lately, then give this year's DEFLESHED a good listen. Every bone in your body will crack, your guts will rot and your brain will be blown out of your head. The new album has drive, power, that ancient spark we all know from the old metal days. Moreover, and this is probably the most important thing for me, I enjoy listening to the album, I like to come back to it and rip into my head with gusto. Under pressure, of course. Then if we had to compare the work of these Swedish madmen to someone, we could mention bands like THE CROWN, HATESPHERE, AT THE GATES, CARNAL FORGE. More crushed skulls, more soulless bodies. I'm one of them. I'm listening to "Grind Over Matter"! A thrash death metal killing machine that will grind you to dust!
