Mám asi jako každý z vás své denní rituály. Každý den ráno se jdu podívat dovnitř, do staré márnice. Jestli jsou těla v pořádku. Dnes je ale něco jinak. Zatím nevím co, ale já to časem zjistím. Dojdu vykopat jeden hrob a vrátím se. Něco je hodně špatně, cítím to v kostech. Házím lopatou hlínu a koutkem oka zahlédnu stín. Mihne se za mnou, jako nějaký přízrak, jako démon temnoty. Pak mi to dojde. Někteří ještě nebyli mrtví. Nacházeli se v podivném stavu mezi naším a oním světem, který vám můžou způsobit jen dvě věci - Smrt a nebo death metal.
Poslouchám novou desku Američanů TRIUMVIR FOUL a mám opravdu pocit, že se márnicí vznáší podivný neklid. Sleduji tuhle smečku od jejich začátků (recenze jsou odkazovány dole pod článkem) a každým dalším albem zraje jako stará mrtvola. Smrtící kov v jejich podání je špinavý, temný, chladný a absolutně nihilistický. Jako atmosféra v opuštěných kobkách.
Oproti minulým deskám mi připadá "Onslaught to Seraphim" zase o nějaký řád krutější, surovější a drtivější. Zároveň si zachovává magickou náladu. Tajemno, záhady, okultismus. V těchto momentech si dovedu představit, že její síla vynikne nejlépe. Drásavý zvuk, ďábelský obal, nadšení a odhodlání, touha zabít vás hudbou. Tohle všechno TRIUMVIR FOUL umí a zvládají na výbornou. Nahrávka se mi ihned stala průvodcem, našeptávačem, na mých nekonečných toulkách podzemím. Nahlíželi jsme spolu s kapelou do plesnivých kobek, navštívili jsme seance, o kterých se vám nezdálo ani v těch nejděsivějších snech. Bylo nám spolu dobře, jejich hudba totiž koluje i v mých žilách. Pánové každou novou deskou přidávají na intenzitě, skladby jsou propracovanější a šílenější. Jako bych ležel v márnici mezi ostatními a čekal, kdo se probudí jako první. Těžko se to vysvětluje, tenhle styl musíte mít v krvi. Přestavte si mlhavé a sychravé ráno na dávno opuštěném hřbitově. Všem je nám jasné, že klid je jen zdánlivý. Stačí chvilku počkat. Až zazní první riff, první motiv. Pak pochopíte, o čem je absolutní tma. Pokud máte rádi kapely typu TEITANBLOOD, AUTOPSY, NECROVORE, BLASPHEMY, ARCHGOAT, PROCLAMATION, PSEUDOGOD, budete určitě spokojeni. Stejně jako já. Temný, nihilistický, death metalový rituál!

I'm listening to the new album by Americans TRIUMVIR FOUL and I really feel a strange unease floating through the morgue. I've been following this bunch since their early days (reviews linked at the bottom of the article) and with each album they mature like an old corpse. The death metal in their delivery is dirty, dark, cold and absolutely nihilistic. Like the atmosphere in abandoned dungeons.
Compared to the previous albums, "Onslaught to Seraphim" seems to me again an order of magnitude more cruel, brutal and crushing. At the same time it retains a magical mood. Mystery, enigma, occultism. It's in these moments that I imagine its power shines through best. The thrilling sound, the devilish cover, the passion and determination, the desire to kill you with the music. All this TRIUMVIR FOUL can and does do perfectly. The record immediately became my guide, my whisperer, on my endless wanderings through the underground. Together with the band, we peered into moldy dungeons, we visited séances that you never dreamed of in your wildest dreams. We had a good time together, because their music runs through my veins. With each new record, the gentlemen add more intensity, the songs become more sophisticated and more insane. It's like I'm lying in the morgue among the others, waiting to see who wakes up first. It's hard to explain, this style must be in your blood. Imagine a foggy, drizzly morning in a long-abandoned cemetery. We all know the peace is only apparent. Just wait a moment. When the first riff, the first motif. Then you'll understand what absolute darkness is all about. If you like bands like TEITANBLOOD, AUTOPSY, NECROVORE, BLASPHEMY, ARCHGOAT, PROCLAMATION, PSEUDOGOD, you will be satisfied. Like me. Dark, nihilistic, death metal ritual!
