Bílá kostra, pohozená u cesty. Bez masa, bez známek násilí. Jenom čistá smrt. Jakoby se nacházela na tenké hranici mezi naším a oním světem. V místech, kde protéká ledová a špinavá řeka Styx. Přemýšlím, jak asi dotyčný zemřel a postupně mi dochází, že je na tom jako já. Také poslouchal celý život death metal. Vybíral si jen ty nejnechutnější kousky shnilých tkání. Jednou taky budu ležet u cesty. A mé kosti budou trouchnivět v rytmu toho nejkvalitnějšího smrtícího kovu.
Britské LIVE BURIAL sleduji od jejich počátků (recenze a rozhovor jsou odkazovány dole pod článkem). Vždy dokázali znázornit svoji hudbou atmosféru čerstvě otevřených hrobů. Novinka "Curse of the Forlorn" to jenom potvrzuje. Démoni číhají za každým rohem. Připraveni vám prokousnout hrdlo.
Pohřeb vašeho živého těla je prováděn ve stejném stylu, jako to uměly a umí kapely typu ASPHYX, MORGOTH, DEATH, BOLT THROWER, CANCER, UNLEASHED, INCANTATION, GRUESOME, SKELETAL REMAINS. Skladby jsou ostré, šílené, krvavě zběsilé a nepostrádají tolik důležitou patinu, získanou dlouhým časem stráveným v tom nejhlubším podzemí. Do nečisté hry vás uvede skvělý obal (Luke Oram). Zvuk vám bude připomínat drcení prašivých kostí. Album obsahuje velké množství zajímavých a mokvajících momentů, které musí udělat dobře všem, kteří to myslí s exhumacemi mrtvých těl opravdu vážně. "Curse of the Forlorn" se do mě otisklo jako rozžhavené, velice kvalitní železo. Byl mi vypálen cejch, až navěky, amen! Je pro mě velmi příjemné opustit současný zkažený svět a zavřít se do katakomb, ve kterých vládnou LIVE BURIAL. Objevujeme spolu temná zákoutí, klaníme se černým stínům. V kostech se mi usadil chlad a já nemohu jinak, než nahrávku hodnotit velmi vysoko. Stala se pro mě skvělým průvodcem na místech, na kterých ležela spousta bílých, zahnívajících koster. Myslím, že fanoušci pradávných rituálů budou spokojeni. Stejně jako já. Stará, poctivá, zahnívající death metalová rakev!

I've been following the UK's LIVE BURIAL since their early days (review and interview linked at the bottom of the article). They have always managed to portray the atmosphere of freshly opened graves with their music. The new release "Curse of the Forlorn" only confirms this. Demons lurk around every corner. Ready to bite your throat.
The burial of your living body is done in the same style as bands like ASPHYX, MORGOTH, DEATH, BOLT THROWER, CANCER, UNLEASHED, INCANTATION, GRUESOME, SKELETAL REMAINS. The songs are sharp, crazy, bloody furious and don't lack that all-important patina gained from a long time spent in the deepest underground. You will be introduced to the dirty game by the great cover art (Luke Oram). The sound will remind you of the crushing of mangy bones. The album contains a large number of interesting and mind boggling moments that must do good to anyone who is serious about exhuming dead bodies. "Curse of the Forlorn" imprinted itself on me like a red-hot, very high quality iron. I've been branded for all eternity, amen! It is very pleasant for me to leave the current corrupted world and close myself in the catacombs where LIVE BURIAL reigns supreme. We explore the dark corners together, we bow to the black shadows. A chill has settled in my bones and I can't help but rate the record very highly. It has become a great guide for me in places where many white, rotting skeletons lay. I think fans of ancient rituals will be pleased, same as me. An old, honest, rotting death metal coffin!
