Byl to dlouhý proces, plný bolesti a odříkání. Pomalu, jako jed, pronikající do žíly. Propadl si temnotě, zemřel si a znovu se narodil. Prokletý! Sílu si načerpal na starých pohřebištích a u kapel, jako jsou ABSENTATION ze Sýrie. Ti letos přicházejí s novým albem. Krutým a ošklivým, jako samotná Smrt. Ostré riffy, tlak a energie. Démoni se klaní až k zemi. Tohle je totiž death metal splňující mé nejvyšší požadavky na kvalitu.
Byl jsem pozván do podzemí. Na hostinu plnou syrového a krvavého masa. Oběť byla připravena a k tomu nám hrálo album "Reflections". Propracované, maniakální skladby, spousta špíny a nahrubo nasekaná tma. Jsem tu správně. Inferno!
Z "Reflections" cítím touhu ničit hudbou. Rána kladivem přímo do obličeje. Spousta zajímavých momentů, které se mi postupně zadírají pod kůži. Užívám si zvuk, s chutí se dívám na obal. Co se týká řemeslné stránky, není si na co stěžovat. Mě jde ale hlavně o atmosféru, o paletu temných nálad, které z nahrávky cítím. Smrdí sírou a vztekem. Při poslechu opravdu procházím postupnou proměnou. Nahlížím na onen svět. Pálí mě mozek v hlavě a chtěl bych jej vystřelit ven. Songy jsou jako kusy žhavého železa, které vám hodila kapela do rukou. Popáleniny třetího stupně jsou samozřejmostí. V některých momentech by si zasloužily skladby trošku zkrátit, ale to je možná jenom můj dojem. Celkové se jedná o hudbu, ke které se rád a často vracím. Dávám si ji do hlavy hlavně večer, když na město padne tma. Toulám se ulicemi a stávám se postupně přízrakem. "Reflections" má na mě devastující účinek. Bývám po něm zničený, ale zároveň plný černé energie. Líbí se mi způsob, jakým kapela přistupuje ke své morbidní práci. Setkáváme se již u druhé nahrávky a obě dvě jsou pro mě vynikající. ABSENTATION mají svůj rukopis, s jasným a zřetelným otiskem. Mohu vám je jenom doporučit. Vítejte v temnotě! Masivní, surový death metal, který vám vypálí cejch!

I was invited to the underground. To a feast of raw and bloody flesh. The sacrifice was prepared and the album "Reflections" was playing. Elaborate, manic songs, lots of dirt and rough-hewn darkness. I'm right here. Inferno!
From "Reflections" I can feel the desire to destroy with music. A hammer blow to the face. Lots of interesting moments that gradually get under my skin. I'm enjoying the sound, looking at the cover with relish. As far as craftsmanship goes, there's nothing to complain about. But for me, it's all about the atmosphere, the palette of dark moods I feel from the record. It reeks of brimstone and rage. I really go through a gradual transformation when I listen to it. I'm getting a glimpse of the other world. It burns my brain in my head and I want to shoot it out. The songs are like pieces of hot iron thrown into your hands by the band. Third-degree burns are commonplace. At some points the songs deserve to be shortened a bit, but that may just be my impression. Overall, this is music that I like to come back to often. I put it in my head especially in the evening when darkness falls on the city. I wander the streets and gradually become a phantom. "Reflections" has a devastating effect on me. It leaves me devastated but full of black energy. I like the way the band approaches their morbid work. We meet on the second record and both are excellent for me. ABSENTATION have their own signature, with a clear and distinct imprint. I can only recommend them to you. Welcome to the darkness! Massive, raw death metal that will burn your mark!
