Někdy stačí jít po stopách. Sledovat krvavé šmouhy, nahlédnout do zlých snů. Každý máme svoji temnou stránku a není zase tak těžké ji nechat vyplout na povrch. Tentokrát mě mé kroky zavedly daleko za město, na místa, o kterých se mluví vždy jen ve špatném. Prokletý dům, plný přízraků. Otevřu dveře a ucítím čiré zlo. Je otisknuté do zdí, žaluje a láká mě na svoji stranu. Chladné místnosti, červené kapky, rozstříknuté po podlaze. První přízrak přijde během několika okamžiků.
Stačí si pustit novou desku australských maniaků WEREWOLVES. O těch jsem již jednou psal a máme s nimi i rozhovor (odkazy dole pod článkem). Zaujali mě svým přístupem i schopností napsat absolutně nihilistické skladby. Letos jsou znovu zpět, aby nám vyprávěli své příběhy o absolutní tmě. Vítejte v pekle!
Při poslechu si připadám jako už bych byl dávno pohřbený, znovu exhumovaný a teď ležím ve staré pitevně a řežou do mě ostrým skalpelem. Další rána, další riff, další úder bicích. Vše je hrozně návykové, špinavé, hnusné, nelidské. Zároveň ale velmi propracované a skvěle složené. Tahle parta démonů moc dobře ví, o čem je death metal, black, thrash, ale i grind. S ničím se nepářou, přesto nejsou monotónní. Vše je zabalené ve zpuchřelých pavučinách, které vám shoří v rukou. Pokud jste fanoušci kapel jako PESTILENCE, PSYCROPTIC, HATE ETERNAL, AKERCOCKE, USUSRPER, neváhejte ani chvilku. Přidejte volume, zavřete se do sklepa a nasávejte všemi póry svého těla plesnivinu. "From the Cave to the Grave" je deskou, která má neuvěřitelný tlak, nakumulovaný vztek, touhu vám vytrhnout vnitřnosti z těla. Věřte svým pradávným instinktům lovce a jděte rovnou za kořistí. Ano, dávám si novinku do uší rád a často, vracím se k ní a pořád jsem fascinován. Pro mě osobně se jedná vlastně o dokonalý zážitek po všech stránkách. Australané dokázali do své hudby propašovat nejen skvělé řemeslo, ale také pořádnou porci talentu. Budete mít pocit, že vás někdo neustále sleduje. Možná drží v ruce nůž a vy už brzy přejdete na druhou stranu. Tahle nahrávka vám bude skvělým průvodcem. Zničující, temný, maniakální black death metal s příchutí absolutního nihilismu!

Listening to it, I feel like I've been buried long ago, exhumed again, and now I'm lying in an old autopsy room, being cut with a sharp scalpel. Another hit, another riff, another drum beat. It's all very addictive, dirty, nasty, inhuman. But at the same time very sophisticated and well composed. This bunch of demons know very well what death metal, black, thrash, and grind is all about. They don't fight with anything, yet they are not monotonous. Everything is wrapped up in rotten cobwebs that will burn in your hands. If you're a fan of bands like PESTILENCE, PSYCROPTIC, HATE ETERNAL, AKERCOCKE, USUSRPER, don't hesitate a moment. Turn up the volume, lock yourself in the basement and suck the mould through every pore of your body. "From the Cave to the Grave" is a record that has incredible pressure, accumulated rage, the desire to rip your guts out. Trust your ancient hunter instincts and go straight for the prey. Yes, I put the new album in my ears happily and often, I keep coming back to it and I'm still fascinated. For me personally, it is actually a perfect experience in every way. The Aussies have managed to smuggle not only great craft into their music, but also a good portion of talent. You will feel like someone is constantly watching you. Maybe they're holding a knife and you're about to cross over to the other side. This record will be a great guide for you. Devastating, dark, maniacal black death metal with a taste of absolute nihilism!
