Už večer jsem usínal s divným pocitem. Několikrát jsem se vzbudil a díval se do tmy. Neslyším tichý šepot? Nářek a skřehot? Ráno mě bolela hlava a v břiše jsem cítil červy. Mraky byly nízko a v ulicích zvláštní ticho. Nasadím si sluchátka, pustím novou desku švédských CONSUMPTION. První zombie na mě zaútočila s prvním riffem. Šla mi rovnou po krku. Krvelačná, surová a bez kůže v obličeji. Stejně jako death metal, který tahle smečka hraje.
První setkání s kapelou jsem absolvoval již v roce 2020, kdy vydali první album "Recursive Definitions of Suppuration" (odkaz na recenzi je dole pod článkem). Pamatuji si, že jsem jej poslouchal stále dokola. Je pro mě totiž dokonalou esencí toho, co mám na tomto stylu rád. Neurvalé, šílené, zběsilé, temné a chladné. S příměsí grindu. Novinka je stejně dobrá nebo spíše ještě lepší. Pánové si svůj styl vybrousili k dokonalosti.
Jízda do pekla pořád pokračuje ve stylu CARCASS, EXHUMED, ENTOMBED, BOLT THROWER, REPULSION, CARNAGE, DISGRACE, GENERAL SURGERY. Líbí se mi, že se pánové sice drží základních pravidel, ale přidávají i spoustu svých nápadů. Poslech se pro mě stal doslova četbou ve staré knize mrtvých. Neskutečně si užívám energii a tlak, které ze skladeb odkapávají jako zkažená krev. Jakoby opravdu ze stínů vystoupily ty nejhnusnější zombie toužící jen potom, aby vám vyrazily mozek z hlavy. Nevím, jestli jste se byli někdy podívat v kafilerii, ale deska na mě působí hodně podobně. Představte si obrovský mlýn na maso, do kterého spadnete a budete rozdrceni na prach. Někteří budou mít to štěstí, že se stanou potravou pro zombie a jiní skončí navěky zapomenuti v zemi. Několik metrů pod povrchem, v hlubokém undergroundu, kde musela být tato nahrávka tvořena. Důkazem budiž skvělý, prašivý a zničující zvuk, i mrtvolně nádherný obal (Julian F. Mora). Osvěžující je i výpomoc Jeffa Walkera (CARCASS) jako hostujícího zpěváka. Máme tak co do činění s albem, které by nemělo chybět ve sbírce žádného fanouška. Pro mě osobně je vlastně dokonalé po všech stránkách. Mokvající, morbidně pestré, mrazivě melodické i temné jako ten nejhlubší hrob. "Necrotic Lust" si dá s chutí určitě každý poctivý nemrtvý. Ulice jsou zase tiché a mraky jsou nízko. Stačí zapnout play. Death grindový útok těch nejděsivějších zombie!

I fell asleep that night with a strange feeling. I woke up several times and looked into the darkness. Do I hear a quiet whisper? Wailing and screeching? In the morning I had a headache and felt worms in my stomach. The clouds were low and the streets were strangely quiet. I put on my headphones and put on the new album by Sweden's CONSUMPTION. The first zombie attacked me with the first riff. It went straight for my throat. Bloody, raw, and skinless in the face. Just like the death metal this crew plays.
My first encounter with the band was in 2020 when they released their first album "Recursive Definitions of Suppuration" (link to the review is below the article). I remember listening to it over and over again. Because for me it is the perfect essence of what I love about this style. Rampant, crazy, frantic, dark, and cold. With a dash of grind. The new stuff is just as good or better. The gentlemen have honed their style to perfection.
The ride to hell still continues in the style of CARCASS, EXHUMED, ENTOMBED, BOLT THROWER, REPULSION, CARNAGE, DISGRACE, GENERAL SURGERY. I like that the gentlemen stick to the basic rules, but add a lot of their own ideas. Listening to them has literally become reading an old book of the dead for me. I'm incredibly enjoying the energy and pressure that drips from the songs like tainted blood. It's as if the vilest zombies have truly stepped out of the shadows, yearning only to blow your brains out. I don't know if you've ever been to a rendering plant, but the record has a very similar effect on me. Imagine a giant meat grinder that you fall into and are crushed to dust. Some will be lucky enough to become food for the zombies and others will end up forgotten in the ground forever. A few meters below the surface, in the deep underground where this recording must have been made. The proof is in the great, dusty, and devastating sound, and the drop-dead gorgeous cover art (Julian F. Mora). The addition of Jeff Walker (CARCASS) as the guest vocalist is also refreshing. So we're dealing with an album that shouldn't be missing from any fan's collection. For me personally, it is actually perfect in every aspect. Wetting, morbidly colorful, chillingly melodic, and dark as the deepest grave. "Necrotic Lust" will be enjoyed by every honest undead. The streets are quiet again and the clouds are low. Just put it on the play. Death grind attack of the most terrifying zombies!
