Říká se, že neštěstí chodí ve trojici. Něco na tom bude. Poprvé jsem se probudil, když jsem ležel v chladné márnici. Podruhé, když mě pohřbívali zaživa. S obličejem rozdrásaným do krve, udušený, zničený. Potřetí, když jsem slyšel poprvé nové album amerických démonů SHED THE SKIN. Cítil jsem se prokletý, obětovaný na oltáři pravého death metalu. Pánové jsou zpět a připomínají jezdce apokalypsy. Spálí vás na popel.
Čtvrtá řadová deska (a jedno EP) patří již teď, do opravdové Knihy mrtvých. Citují se zde postupy, které musely vznikat v samotném pekle, v hlubokém podzemí. Smrt má mnoho podob a tu, kterou předvádějí Američané, je krutá, temná, prašivá, šílená. Vítejte na onom světě!
SHED THE SKIN nám opět umíchali koktejl z těch nejjedovatějších přísad. Když se podíváte na kapely, v kterých působí členové této smečky, tak je vám ihned jasné, že co se týká řemesla, tak zde bude vše v nejlepším pořádku. Je to tak, to mohu podepsat vlastní krví. Zvuk, obal, produkce, všechno je v podstatě dokonalé. Jedná se o esenci undergroundového death metalu v podobě, ve které jej mám nejraději. Riffy řežou, pálí a žhnou. Zároveň z nich odkapává hnis. Vše je neskutečně černé, masivní, hutné. Vokál připomíná řev bestie. Pokud rádi trávíte svůj čas ve společnosti třeba takových CIANIDE, CARCASS, INCANTATION, ASPHYX, NECROPHAGIA, EXHUMED, DEICIDE, DIABOLIC, ACHERON, neváhejte ani chvilku. Tahle nahrávka smrdí sírou! Procházím se podsvětím, třikrát mrtvý, třikrát znovuzrozený. Poslouchám novou desku "Thaumogenesis" a těším se, až ráno zase ulehnu do své oblíbené rakve. Tahle hudba musela vznikat ve starých katakombách, v kobkách, kde se kdysi odehrávaly hnusné rituály pro vyvolávání temných sil. Skladby mi odsekávají maso od kostí a opět mohu potvrdit, že SHED THE SKIN vám dokáží vystřelit mozek z hlavy. Hudba je zde zahalená do špinavé mlhy. Stačí jen vstoupit a přijmout temnotu. Američané letos přišli s albem, které vás roztrhá na kusy, navždy prokleje a usmrtí tím nejbrutálnějším způsobem. Líbí se mi rukopis, originalita, tlak a energie a také pocit, že vše bylo vytvořeno srdcem a s jasným poselstvím - všechny nás navěky proklít muzikou. Hnisavý, černý, prokletý death metalový obřad!

The gentlemen are back and reminiscent of the horsemen of the apocalypse. They will burn you to ashes.
The fourth full-length (and one EP) belongs now, in the true Book of the Dead. It cites practices that must have originated in hell itself, deep underground. Death takes many forms, and the one the Americans perform is cruel, dark, dusty, insane. Welcome to the other world!
SHED THE SKIN once again mixed us a cocktail of the most toxic ingredients. If you look at the bands in which the members of this band are active, it is immediately clear that when it comes to craft, everything will be in the best order here. It's true, I can sign it with my own blood. The sound, the artwork, the production, everything is basically perfect. This is the essence of underground death metal as I like it best. The riffs cut, burn and blaze. At the same time, they drip pus. Everything is incredibly black, massive, dense. The vocals are like the roar of a beast. If you like to spend your time in the company of CIANIDE, CARCASS, INCANTATION, ASPHYX, NECROPHAGIA, EXHUMED, DEICIDE, DIABOLIC, ACHERON, don't hesitate a moment. This record stinks of brimstone! I'm walking through the underworld, three times dead, three times reborn. I'm listening to the new record "Thaumogenesis" and I'm looking forward to lying back down in my favorite coffin in the morning. This music must have originated in the old catacombs, in the dungeons where the vile rituals to summon dark forces once took place. The songs cut the flesh from my bones and once again I can confirm that SHED THE SKIN can blow your brains out. The music here is shrouded in a dirty fog. You just have to step in and embrace the darkness. This year the Americans have come up with an album that will tear you apart, forever curse and kill you in the most brutal way. I like the signature, the originality, the pressure and energy, and the feeling that everything has been crafted with heart and a clear message - damn us all with music forever. A festering, black, cursed death metal rite!
