A few questions - interview with death/grind metal band from Lithuania - STRANGULIATORIUS.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play etc.?

Stranguliatorius has been lurking around since 2010, going through line-up changes, looking for a perfect combination to kill it's victims until it reached it's current state – grinding death metal.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

We've recorded it with Mr.Tomhetas at „Vicarious Recordings“ in Vilnius. We chose „Enormous Door“ to master it and it was a good choice.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

A few hundred CDs. If someone would be up for releasing a cassette of the album – that would be lovely too, if you know any cassette labels that would be interested – let us know.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

Our singer and drummer usually write the lyrics. They're mostly about the dark side of human nature, sarcastic stories with sinister twists and the irony of it all.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

The logo was created by "Imperfect Design" (artist from Argentina ) and later was improved by "Grimsoul Art" (dude from Lithuania). The latest album's cover is by "Mörtuus-Art". Visual side of what we do is important and we like to experiment with it. We're on facebook, youtube, etc mostly to spread our stuff, spread the infection so to say.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

Horror Pain Gore Death Productions from the United States. We're very happy with our cooperation, HPGD have been doing a great job at promoting us.

Which bands do you idolize and where do you get your inspiration?

Carcass, Bolt Thrower, Coffins, Impetigo and many more. Most of the inspiration comes from life itself – you know- the shitty part of it, and the feelings of misanthropy we experience when we look at reality. Music is a retreat, a channel, a drug, a friend.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

No.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

A hundred or so... We're always eager to play, either small clubs or festivals – it doesn't matter. Of course – the bigger the gig the better. A bottle of whiskey beats a shot of whiskey any day.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

Our goal is to perform at the Opening Ceremony of 2024 Summer Olympics.

How and where can your fans contact you? Can you provide some contact information?

Thanx for the interview.

It was pleasure. Thank you, sir.
