Pravidelná, normálně vždy klidná, obhlídka na hřbitově se změnila v děsivý sen. Nejdřív se začala několik metrů pod zemí otáčet mrtvá těla. Z hrobů se po mě sápaly kostnaté paže. Umíral jsem strachem, ale to ještě nebylo nic proti tomu, když začalo hrát nové album švédských maniaků COFFIN CREEP. Surová, syrová muzika ze severských oblastí probudila i ty nejstarší zombie. Víka od rakví naskakovala v rytmu bicích a stíny byly dlouhé jako nikdy předtím. Beru do ruky lopatu, snažím se chvilku bránit, ale není mi to nic platné. Tohle je death metal, který vás smete z tohoto světa.
Mám rád muziku, ze které odkapává zkažená krev. Líbí se mi, když si dá kapela práci se zvukem, když nezanedbá obal, když ze skladeb cítím pradávnou sílu starých pohřebišť. Jsme na tomhle světě vlastně jenom na krátké návštěvě, tak proč si nezatančit na hrobech všech prokletých?
Hudba COFFIN CREEP je volně inspirována smečkami jako BLACK SABBATH, AUTOPSY, ABSCESS. Není to ale jenom klasická americká škola, jejíž jsou velmi dobrými pokračovateli a pohrobky. Nalezneme zde i odkazy na švédské veterány ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, GRAVE, ENTRAILS. Švédi si pohrávají s morbidními náladami se zkušeností, talentem. Dokáží zahrát ostře a nekompromisně, ale umí nechat vyniknout i černo černou a chladnou beznaděj. Pro nás, staré hrobníky se jedná o čirou radost z pohřebních nálad. Songy v sobě mají potřebný drive i sílu. Kapela má velký dar předat tmou nasáklé emoce. Pokud jste někdy strávili noc v márnici, tak asi víte, o čem píšu. Slyším tichý šepot nemrtvých. Potácejí se mezi naším a oním světem. Sem, mezi protáhlé obličeje démonů, patří i "Voids". Některé songy by možná zasloužily trošku zkrátit, ale to je jen drobnost, která nedokáže narušit můj celkový velmi dobrý dojem. Tak zase zítra, až se setmí. Zatím si jdu lehnout do své oblíbené rakve. Chladný death metal s temnou příchutí!

A regular, normally always calm, tour of the cemetery turned into a frightening dream. First, dead bodies began to rotate a few feet underground. Bony arms came from the graves after me. I was dying of fear, but it wasn't against it when the new album of Swedish maniacs COFFIN CREEP started playing. Raw, raw music from the Nordic areas woke up even the oldest zombies. The coffin lids jumped to the beat of the drums, and the shadows were as long as ever. I take a shovel in my hand, I try to defend myself for a while, but it's not valid for me. This is death metal that will sweep you out of this world.
I like music that drips rotten blood. I like it when the band works with the sound, when it doesn't neglect the cover, when I feel the ancient power of the old cemeteries from the songs. We are actually only on a short visit in this world, so why not dance on the graves of all the damned?
COFFIN CREEP's music is loosely inspired by packs like BLACK SABBATH, AUTOPSY, ABSCESS. But it is not just a classic American school, of which they are very good successors and funerals. Here you will also find links to Swedish veterans ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, GRAVE, ENTRAILS. The Swedes play with morbid moods with experience, talent. They can play sharply and uncompromisingly, but they can also make black-black and cold hopelessness stand out. For us old tombstones, it is a pure joy of funeral moods. The songs have the necessary drive and strength. The band has a great gift to convey emotions soaked in darkness. If you've ever spent a night in a morgue, you probably know what I'm writing about. I hear the soft whispers of the undead. They stumble between our world and the other. Here, among the elongated faces of demons, is "Voids". Some songs might deserve to be shortened a bit, but that's just a trifle that can't break my overall very good impression. So again tomorrow, when it gets dark. In the meantime, I'm going to lie down in my favourite coffin. Cold death metal with a dark flavour!
