Volal jsem včera do pekla, jestli by mi nemohli doporučit nějakou pořádnou hudbu. Chvíli jsem slyšel, jak se ďábel přehrabuje ve staré rakvi a potom mi řekl jediné jméno - CARDIAC ARREST. Hej příteli, musím ti poděkovat za další skvělý tip. Kapela se letos vrátila s kompilací temných a zběsilých skladeb. Staré demo a EP, plus jeden nový song. Co si vůbec může starý fanoušek pravého death metalu víc přát?
Kapelu sleduji od jejich začátků, dokonce jsem měl štěstí na jeden koncert u nás v České republice a musím to napsat znovu. Zase tolik smeček, které by přesně pochopily ducha starých dobrých časů není. CARDIAC ARREST vždy dokázali zhudebnit ozvěny ze záhrobí. Kosti zase praskají tlakem.
Smrt je vždycky hnusná, ošklivá a bolestivá. Stejně jako death metal. Musíte mít tuhle hudbu v srdci, hrát ji opravdově a uvěřitelně. Nic jiného neexistuje, jenom temnota, chlad a utrpení. Přejdete na druhou stranu a vezmete si s sebou jenom desky, která vám celý život kolovaly v žilách. CARDIAC ARREST vždy splňovali mé nejvyšší požadavky. Na zvuk, na skvělé obaly, na opravdovost a ryzost. Líbí se mi jejich přístup, inspirace smečkami jako CIANIDE, IMPETIGO, INCANTATION, CIANIDE, AUTOPSY, MASTER, OBITUARY, GRAVE, BENEDICTION, SHED THE SKIN, AUTOPSY. Dneska nebudu spát já ani starý dobrý přítel Satan. Oba otočíme volume pořádně doprava. Riffy se zadírají hluboko do mozku, jsou jako jed, který s chutí a často snídáme. Skladby pro "...In Rotten Retrospect" musely vznikat ve starých márnicích, v mlze zahaleném hřbitově, při pravých pohřbech do země. Tohle je pravý, ryzí, uvěřitelný smrtící kov, který pochází z nejhlubšího podzemí. Za kamennou zdí je peklo, které nezná slitování. Songy jsou skvěle napsány, vokál je nasáklý chorobami a zombie lezou z děr. Vše je nejlepším pořádku. Krvavé, old school death metalové kořeny!

Hey my friend, I have to thank you for another great tip. The band returned this year with a compilation of dark and frantic tracks. Old demos and an EP, plus one new song. What more could an old fan of true death metal ask for?
I've been following the band since their beginnings, I was even lucky enough to attend one concert in the Czech Republic and I have to write it again. There aren't that many bands that understand the spirit of the good old days. CARDIAC ARREST have always been able to musicalize the echoes from beyond the grave. Bones are cracking under the pressure again.
Death is always ugly, nasty and painful. Just like death metal. You have to have this music in your heart, play it real and believable. There's nothing but darkness, coldness and suffering. You cross over to the other side and take with you only the records that have been in your veins all your life. CARDIAC ARREST have always met my highest standards. For sound, for great packaging, for authenticity and purity. I like their approach, their inspiration from packs like CIANIDE, IMPETIGO, INCANTATION, CIANIDE, AUTOPSY, MASTER, OBITUARY, GRAVE, BENEDICTION, SHED THE SKIN, AUTOPSY. Neither I nor my good old friend Satan will sleep tonight. We'll both turn the volume hard right. Riffs burrow deep into the brain, they're like poison that we eat with gusto and often. The songs for "...In Rotten Retrospect" must have been written in old morgues, in a fog-shrouded cemetery, at real burials in the ground. This is real, pure, believable death metal that comes from the deepest underground. Beyond the stone wall is a hell that knows no mercy. The songs are brilliantly written, the vocals are soaked in disease and zombies crawl out of holes. Everything is in the best order. Bloody, old school death metal roots!
