Existují na světě místa, která jsou tajemná ze své podstaty. Ukrývají se v šeru. Když na ně vstoupíte, tak se vám před očima začnou odehrávat šedo černé obrazy. Smutek a nostalgie, vzpomínky na staré rituály. Popínavý břečťan všechno dávno pokryl, ale přesto cítíte z kamenů pradávnou sílu. Chybí už jenom hudba, která by celou scenérii doplnila o další rozměr. Němečtí EREMIT jsou dobrou volbou. Jejich doom sludge metal je přesně tím druhem zážitku, který se vám zadře hluboko pod kůži.
Jenom musíte mít bohatou fantazii. Chuť objevovat, nechat na sebe působit poryvy větru, šepot stromů i nářek dávno zemřelých. Tři dlouhé drásavé skladby, rozprostřené do více než hodiny nejsou rozhodně pro každého. Vyžadují pečlivé soustředění, nihilistický přístup a otevřenou mysl. Do nečisté hry vás uvede magický obal (Mariusz Lewandowski) i surově ledový zvuk (Roland Wiegner at the Tonmeisterei). Cítím ve vzduchu zkaženou krev!
"Bearer of Many Names" je surovou shnilou esencí špinavého doom sludge metalu. Některé momenty připomínají setkání s mýtickými příšerami, jiné zase návštěvu míst, ne kterých se odehrávaly rituály plné smrti a utrpení. Není pro mě lehké podobnou muziku popisovat, více než jinde zde totiž platí, že je lepší poslouchat, než skládat slova za sebe. Songy jsou bažinaté, nasáklé hnilobou. Jako bych stál uprostřed lesa, kousek od obětní skály. Atmosféra je doslova hmatatelná. Na podobné záležitosti musím mít náladu, ale když se tak stane, jsem doslova nadšen (a zároveň uvnitř smutný). EREMIT jsou nejlepší uprostřed deště, když se světlo loučí se dnem. Musí být sychravo, nevlídno. Mraky se dotýkají země a vy jdete za město. Každý z nás potřebuje být někdy jenom sám se sebou. Ukrytý ve stínu. A pro takové chvíle je deska "Bearer of Many Names" nejvhodnější. Mám pocit, že vidím na skále staré symboly. Žhnou do tmy. Myslím, že jsem tu správně. Tohle album má v sobě velkou sílu. Načerpanou v podsvětí. Na starých popravištích. Mytologický sludge doom metal z onoho světa!

Their doom sludge metal is exactly the kind of experience that gets stuck deep under your skin.
You just have to have a rich imagination. The desire to discover, to let the gusts of wind, the whispers of trees and the lamentations of the long dead. Three long scary songs, spread over more than an hour, are not for everyone. They require careful concentration, a nihilistic approach and an open mind. The magic cover (Mariusz Lewandowski) and the raw icy sound (Roland Wiegner at the Tonmeisterei) will introduce you to the dirty game. I feel rotten blood in the air!
"Bearer of Many Names" is the raw rotten essence of dirty doom sludge metal. Some moments are reminiscent of encounters with mythical monsters, others are visits to places where no rituals full of death and suffering took place. It's not easy for me to describe similar music, because more than anywhere else it is better to listen than to compose words for oneself. The songs are swampy, soaked in rot. It was as if I were standing in the middle of a forest, not far from the sacrificial rock. The atmosphere is literally tangible. I have to be in the mood for such things, but when that happens, I'm literally excited (and sad at the same time). EREMITs are best in the middle of the rain when the light says goodbye to the bottom. It must be dry, unkind. Clouds touch the ground and you go beyond the city. Each of us needs to be with ourselves sometimes. Hidden in the shadows. And for such moments, the album "Bearer of Many Names" is the most suitable. I feel like I see old symbols on the rock. They glow in the dark. I think I'm right here. This album has great power in it. Drawn in the underworld. At old execution sites. Mythological sludge doom metal from the other world!
