Probudím se brzy a nemůžu spát. Mám pocit, že jsem včera musel jíst hřebíky. Bolí mě kosti, pálí mozek. Potřebuji další dávku thrash metalu. Jsem na něm závislý přes třicet let a jiné už to asi nebude. Někdy mě už nebaví poslouchat stále dokola staré kapely a s chutí objevím něco nového. Na MORPHETIK jsem dostal tip a i když byla včerejší noc pěkně divoká, přidávám hlasitost. Švédi hrají přesně tak, jak to mám rád. Surově, neurvale, s morbidním citem pro věc.
Správný thrash metal musí řezat, musí mít špinavý zvuk a musí jej hrát muzikanti, kteří nezapomněli na poselství starých bastardů. MORPHETIK tohle všechno umí a přidávají ještě něco navíc. Nalijte mi někdo panáka, ať už mě nebolí hlava. Čeká nás další rychlá a zběsilá jízda. Vypněte televizi, stejně je v ní jenom jed. Odpojte se od všech falešných sítí a pojďte si se mnou a kapelou zavzpomínat na ryzí, poctivý thrash metal.
V hudbě MORPHETIK naleznete kromě klasického thrash metalu evropské a americké školy i prvky crossoveru. Každým dalším songem je mi lépe, včerejší alkohol nahrazuje nový, čerstvý. Podupávám si nohou do rytmu, bouchám pěstí do stolu. Mám chuť řvát! Jasně že podobných kapel běhá po světě stovky, jasně, že Švédi nejsou nijak převratným, ani objevným tělesem. Jenže já poslouchám thrash metal už hodně dlouho. Jsem starej prašivej pes, kterej zvedne hlavu jen ve chvíli, když ho něco zaujme. "Omens of War" je tradičním útokem, provedeným s elegancí a chutí zabíjet hudbou. Líbí se mi obal i zvuk celé nahrávky. Hele a to víte, jak poznáte dobrý thrash metal? Musíte mít chuť k pořádnému headbangingu. A tak chci malý klub někde za městem, tuhle smečku na pódiu, kvalitní alkohol a krásnou holku po boku. Pak budu úplně spokojený. MORPHETIK jsou přesně tím druhem kapely, kterou si časem oblíbíte. Jejich hudba vám začne kolovat v krvi a soustředíte se jen na jednu věc - na mosh-pit. "Omens of War" je pro mě přesně tím druhem překvapení, kvůli kterému se stále rád a aktivně zajímám o nové nahrávky. Další den. Probudím se brzy a nemůžu spát. Of course, there are hundreds of similar bands around the world, of course, that the Swedes are nothing extraordinary or revolutionary. But I've been listening to thrash metal for a long time. I'm an old dusty dog who only raises his head when something catches his attention. "Omens of War" is a traditional attack, performed with elegance and a desire to kill by music. I like the cover and sound of the whole recording. Hey, do you know how to recognize good thrash metal? You must have a taste for proper headbanging. And so I want a small club somewhere outside the city, this band on stage, quality alcohol and a beautiful girl by my side. Then I will be completely satisfied. MORPHETIK are exactly the kind of band you will like over time. Their music will start to circulate in your blood and you will focus on only one thing - the mosh-pit. "Omens of War" is for me exactly the kind of surprise that makes me always happy and actively interested in new recordings. Next day. I wake up early and I can't sleep.
