Od začátku roku vyšla spousta dobrých alb. Asi jako každý se těším, až si udělám klidnou chvilku pro sebe a uzavřu se do krásného světa metalu. Většinou poslouchám extrémní styly jako death metal, thrash, black. Když ale vydá album BLAZE BAYLEY, jde všechno stranou. Přitom se jedná vlastně opět jen o "obyčejný heavy metal". Mám před sebou deset desek, často opravdu skvělých a já nakonec stejně vkládám do přehrávače stále dokola "War Within Me".
Přemýšlím o své závislosti a u další skladby házím všechno za hlavu. Tentokrát na mě novinka působí velmi pozitivním dojmem. BLAZE a jeho věrní se drží svého řemesla, dělají jej s nadšením a srdcem. Možná v poslední době vyšlo hodně muziky, která má lepší produkci, je slavnější, objevnější, progresivnější. Já ale volím raději "War Within Me".
Novinka má v sobě totiž to, co se mi na metalu vždy líbilo a co dodnes uctívám. Opravdovost, ryzost, odhodlání. Jsem už takový, mnohé dnes protěžované kapely mě nudí a raději se zavřu do své ulity a přehrávám si heavy metal jak vystřižený z počátků tohoto stylu. Riffy od páně Chrise Appeltona jsou navíc opravdu dobře napsány, album se skvěle poslouchá. Je v něm starodávná síla, drive, chvění, kterých má i naživo Blaze obrovské množství. Je mi tak úplně jedno, co kdo kde jak napsal, propagoval, doporučoval, "War Within Me" je pro mě mojí, osobní deskou. Možná nedokonalou, možná příliš klasickou, sem tam lehce rozvláčnou, ale mojí. Zkrátka a jednoduše, heavy metal na pohodu, pro odpočinek, který mi nakonec přináší o hodně víc, než ostatní. Pánové se sice nevyhnuli některým momentům, které se v jejich tvorbě opakují, ale to už je úděl metalu posledních 30 let. Blaze mě má opět na své straně a víte co je nejlepší a v závěru vlastně i nejdůležitější? Ve všem tom srabu, pandemii, mrtvých kamarádech kolem, se po poslechu usmívám. Cítím totiž z alba naději, víru. Víru v pravý nefalšovaný heavy metal, který mi stejně pořád koluje v žilách. "War Within Me" je ukováno z nejkvalitnější britské oceli!

Lots of good albums have been released since the beginning of the year. Like everyone, I'm looking forward to having a quiet moment for myself and closing myself to the beautiful world of metal. I usually listen to extreme styles like death metal, thrash, black. But when BLAZE BAYLEY is releasing album, everything goes aside. At the same time, it is actually just "ordinary heavy metal" again. I have ten records in front of me, ten really great albums and in the end I still put "War Within Me" into the player all the time.
I think about my addiction and with the next song I throw everything behind my head. This time the novelty gives me a very positive impression. BLAZE and his faithful cling to their craft, they do it with enthusiasm and heart. Maybe a lot of music has been released lately, which has better production, is more famous, more discoverable, more progressive. But I prefer "War Within Me".
The new album include what I always liked about metal and what I still worship. Truthfulness, purity, determination. I'm already like that, many bands that are favoured today bore me and I'd rather close myself to my shell and play heavy metal cut from the beginnings of this style. In addition, the riffs from Mr. Chris Appelton are really well written, the album is great to listen to. It contains ancient power, drive, vibration, and Blaze has a huge amount of all of this even at live shows. I don't care what anyone wrote, promoted or recommended, "War Within Me" is record for me, my personal one. Maybe imperfect, maybe too classic, slightly sloppy here and there, but mine. In short and simply, this is heavy metal to relax with, it brings me much more than the others. The gentlemen have not avoided some of the moments that are repeated in their work, but this has been the fate of metal for the last 30 years. Blaze has me on his side again and you know what is the best and in the end the most important? In all the shit, the pandemic, the dead friends around me, I smile after listening. I feel hope, faith from the album. Belief in real, unadulterated heavy metal, which still circulates in my veins. "War Within Me" is forged from the highest quality British steel!
