Mlhavé ráno, město jsem nechal za sebou. Unikl jsem šedi, cestou kolem hřbitova, kde leží mí předci. Z nebe pršela krev a mraky byly hodně nízko. Bývám na svých toulkách hodně pokorný, příroda mě nepřestane nikdy udivovat. A je úplně jedno, jestli jsem vysoko v horách nebo jen kousek od svého domu. Doom metal v podání irských SOOTHSAYER poslouchám již dlouho, přesněji od roku 2016, kdy jsem se setkal s tvorbou kapely poprvé. Pokaždé mě zavedou do hlubokých močálů lidské mysli.
Jako když potkáte u mýtiny mrtvolu zvířete. Smrt, ano smutek a smrt, koloběh života. Rodíme se a umíráme, často nepovšimnuti. Zůstává nakonec jen hudba, která povznáší, jitří fantazii, je magická, zákeřná, jiskřivá jako odlesk v očích šelmy. "Echoes Of The Earth" je volným pokračováním věcí minulých, je mým průvodcem podzemím, samotou duše i prozřením. Temná, chladná, bolestivá, taková je nová deska.
"Echoes Of The Earth" je jako vyvřelá láva, která unikla přímo z pekla. Spálí vás ve stylu třeba takových EREMIT, CULT OF LUNA, JUPITERIAN. Atmosférický doom metal, spousta sludge prvků, ale hlavně naléhavost a žhavé magma. Jako bych se ocitl ve zcela jiném světě, v dimenzi, ve které jsou všechny drásavé lidské vlastnosti znásobeny a vypáleny na hudební nosič. Do kostí se mi vkrádá chlad, přesně taková alba potřebuji ve chvílích, kdy venku prší a je pošmourno. Brodím se bahnem vlastních myšlenek, škrábu si ruce do krve, nadávám Bohu, proč je kolem nás tolik zla? Odpovědí je mi skvělý zvuk, nářek umírajících a nová nahrávka SOOTHSAYER. Kapela mi opět dokázala předat obrovské množství emocí, věřím jim každý tón, každý riff. Nálada je pochmurná, je čas se vydat znovu na cestu. Možná bude poslední, kdo ví? Řeka plná špinavé vody, bahna. Nafouklé mokvající zasmrádlé mrtvoly, kdo mě převeze na druhou stranu? Myslím, že Irové to dokáží. Dovolili mi nahlédnout na druhou stranu, do země stínů, zjitřit moji mysl, být mými průvodci v temnotě. Ne, dávno už neposlouchám muziku ušima, ale spíše srdcem. Album muselo vznikat někde o samotě, v bažinách. Dokonalá esence smutku a temnoty! Z nebe zase prší krev.

A foggy morning, I left the city behind. I escaped in gray, on my way around the cemetery where my ancestors lie. Blood was raining from the sky and the clouds were very low. I tend to be very humble on my wanderings, nature never ceases to amaze me. And it doesn´t matter if I´m high in the mountains or just a short distance from my house. I have been listening to Doom metal performed by the Irish SOOTHSAYER for a long time, more precisely since 2016 when I first met the band. They always lead me into the deep swamps of the human mind.
Like meeting an animal's corpse by a clearing. Death, yes sadness and death, the cycle of life. We are born and die, often unnoticed. In the end, all that remains is music that elevates, brightens the imagination, is magical, insidious, sparkling as a reflection in the beast's eyes. “Echoes Of The Earth” is a free continuation of things of the past, it is my guide to the underground, the solitude of the soul and enlightenment. Dark, codl, painful - that is how the new album is.
“Echoes Of The Earth” is like erupting lava that escaped directly from hell. They will burn you in the style of bands like EREMIT, CULT OF LUNA, JUPITERIAN. Atmospheric doom metal, lots of sludge elements but mainly urgency and hot magma. It is as if I find myself in a completely different world, in a dimension in which all irritating human qualities are multiplied and burned onto a musical medium. The cold is creeping into my bons, I need just such albums when it's raining outside and it's gloomy. I wade through the mud of my own thoughts, I scratch my hands with blood, I curse Go, why is there so much evil around us? The answer is great sound, the lament of the dying and a new SOOTHSAYER recording. THe band was able to convey a huge amount of emotion to me again. I trust them every tone, every riff. THe mood is gloomy, it's time to hit the road again. Maybe it will be the last one. Who knows. River full of dirty water, mud. Puffy wet stinking corpses, who will take me to the other side? I think the Irish can do it. THey allowed me to look the other way into the land of shadows, to sharpen my mind, to be my guide in the dark. No, I haven't listened to music with my ears for a long time, but rather with my heart. The album had to be written somewhere alone in the swamps. The perfect essence of sadness and darkness! Blood is raining from the sky again.
