Uprostřed lesů, kam se lidé bojí chodit, je starodávný oltář. Obětovalo se zde temným silám, démonům zla. Vidím před sebou dívku, s nožem od krve, zabodnutým v břiše. Někdo ji rozpáral, zničil, zohavil. Slyším ve vzduchu její nářek. Oči bez života žalují. Tohle není jen obyčejný rituál, ale ošklivá noční můra, která se stala skutečností. Symboly plné smrt, nakreslené krví. Modlitby plné jedu a síry. Jsi další na řadě, to doufám víš.

Černý death metalový rituál nám předkládají i CRYPTS OF DESPAIR. Kapela, se kterou jsem se setkal poprvé v roce 2017, kdy mě jejich album "The Stench of the Earth" (recenze a rozhovor dole pod článkem) doslova uhranulo. Litevci jsou zpět s novou deskou, temnější a chladnější. Vítejte na temném obřadu smrti!

CRYPTS OF DESPAIR obětují zlým silám ve stylu INCANTATION, IMMOLATION, MORBID ANGEL, ULCERATE, DEATHSPELL OMEGA, PORTAL, REPLICANT. Skladby vás rozdrásají do živého masa, až ke kosti. Budete si připadat, jako ve studené, mokvající mlze, ve které ožívají duchové zemřelých. Sestoupíte několik metrů pod zem, do starých katakomb. Jsou zde pochovány ostatky všech prokletých. Když budete jako já poslouchat stále dokola "All Light Swallowed", budete brzy patřit mezi ně. Líbí se mi zvuk, obal, ale hlavně bolestivé motivy, které se proplétají deskou jako jedovatí hadi. Jedná se o komplexní dílo, o nahrávku, která je opravdu spíše tajemnou seancí, než jen obyčejnou hudbou. Líbí se mi uvěřitelnost, opravdovost, ryzost, ale hlavně chlad, kombinovaný s nepropustnou tmou. Vidím před sebou kamenný oltář. Hluboko v lesích, kam nikdo nechodí. Samota duše, samota ve smrti. Album je jako rezavý nůž, který vám někdo zabodne do břicha. Vnitřnosti hoří, death metalový rituál může započít. Přidávám hlasitost a jsem v jiné dimenzi. Brána do chrámu zla byla znovu otevřena. Vynikající, démonický death metal, u kterého budete pozváni na onen svět. Stačí jen vstoupit. Rituál smrti!

The black death metal ritual is also presented to us by CRYPTS OF DESPAIR. The band I first met in 2017, when their album "The Stench of the Earth" (review and interview below the article) literally captivated me. The Lithuanians are back with a new album, which is darker and cooler. Welcome to the dark death ceremony!

CRYPTS OF DESPAIR sacrifice to evil forces in the style of INCANTATION, IMMOLATION, MORBID ANGEL, ULCERATE, DEATHSPELL OMEGA, PORTAL, REPLICANT. The songs cut you to live flesh, all the way to the bone. You will feel like in a cold, wet mist in which the spirits of the dead come to life. You descend a few meters underground, to the old catacombs. The remains of all the damned are buried here. If, like me, you listen to "All Light Swallowed" over and over again, you will soon be one of them. I like the sound, the cover, but especially the painful motifs that intertwine with the album like venomous snakes. It is a complex work, a recording that is really more of a mysterious session than just ordinary music. I like the believability, authenticity, purity, but most of all the cold, combined with impenetrable darkness. I see a stone altar in front of me. Deep in the woods where no one goes. Solitude of the soul, solitude in death. The album is like a rusty knife that someone stabs in your stomach. The entrails are burning, a death metal ritual can begin. I add volume and I'm in another dimension. The gate to the temple of evil was reopened. Excellent, demonic death metal, with which you will be invited to the other world. Just enter. Ritual of death!
