Krev na sněhu, jdeš po stopě. Někde tu řádí šílený vrah. Už si viděl několik obětí. Pokaždé s proříznutým hrdlem, s břichem, ze kterého vylézaly jako nějací hadi střeva. Když šelma loví šelmu, musí u toho poslouchat drsnou a surovou muzikou. Další zmrzlá dívka s mrtvolným pohledem. Přidávám hlasitost a přehrávám si stále dokola novou desku finských maniaků WRATHRONE. Zni stejně krutě a mrazivě, jako příběh, který zrovna prožívám.
Pro pochopení jejich hudby se opravdu musíte vydat na stará pohřebiště na sever. Do nekonečných močálů, které v létě smrdí rozkládajícími se mršinami a v zimě se pod ledem ukrývají nafouklá těla utopenců. Novinka "Eve of Infliction" je pro mě jako starý okultní rituál, oběť dávným death metalovým předkům.
WRATHRONE hrají prašivý death metal staré školy, jak vystřižený z knihy smrti. Inspirováni volně třeba takovými ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, GRAVE, melodičtějšími THE CROWN, AT THE GATES, ale i americkou školou (MORBID ANGEL), vás zavedou daleko za město, do míst, kde již dlouhou dobu řádí krvelačná šelma. Se skvělým chladivým zvukem, s obalem, který připomíná nepropustný temný les, s nápady, které vás pohřbí zaživa, jsou Finové skvělými průvodci záhrobím. Melodie, ostré a špinavé, jako řeznický nůž, se vám zaříznou ihned do tkání, oddělí maso od kostí a vy si budete užívat neskutečnou temnotu. WRATHRONE mají svůj specifický rukopis, vyznačující se i dávkou melancholie. "Eve of Infliction" je propracovaným, inteligentním albem se spoustou morbidně chladných nápadů. Všechny nás dávno obestřela temnota. Vzduchem se vznáší pach smrti, ohledávám další oběť. Bez hudby jako je tato, bych nebyl nic, byl bych dávno jen prázdnou schránkou. Má v sobě totiž jiskru, drive, pradávnou sílu, posbíranou na starých pohřebištích. Dávkuji si desku stále dokola, nedokážu se od ní odtrhnout. Je jako hypnotický strnulý pohled mrtvých očí. Vynikající mrazivý death metal!

The new album "Eve of Infliction" is for me like an old occult ritual, a sacrifice to ancient death metal ancestors.
WRATHRONE play dusty old school death metal as cut from the book of death. Inspired freely by bands such as ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, GRAVE, the more melodic THE CROWN, AT THE GATES, but also by the American school (MORBID ANGEL), they will take you far beyond the city, to places where the bloodthirsty beast has been raging for a long time. With a great cooling sound, with a cover that resembles an impenetrable dark forest, with ideas that will bury you alive, the Finns are great guides to the grave. The melodies, sharp and dirty, like a butcher's knife, will cut into your tissues immediately, separate the meat from the bones and you will enjoy the incredible darkness. WRATHRONE have their own specific signature, characterized by a dose of melancholy. "Eve of Infliction" is a sophisticated, intelligent album with lots of morbidly cool ideas. Darkness enveloped us all long time ago. The smell of death hovers in the air, looking for another victim. Without music like this, I wouldn't be anything, I'd be just an empty box. It has a spark, drive, ancient power, collected in old cemeteries. I listen to this album over and over, I can't tear myself away from it. It's like a hypnotic stare of dead eyes. Excellent frosty death metal!
