Kdysi dávno jsem hltal sci-fi povídky o apokalypse. Před třiceti lety a zajímavé je, že spousta předpovědí se splnila. Jsme propojeni v jedné všemocné síti, která nás měla původně spojovat a nyní nás spíše izoluje. O smrtících virech vám asi nemusím nic říkat, přímo to prožíváme teď a tady. Někteří dokonce tvrdí, že apokalypsa dávno začala, stačí se rozhlédnout kolem sebe. Nenávist, vztek, jedovaté sliny, kterými se, ať chcete nebo ne, stejně nakonec nakazíte. Rozhoduje za nás umělá inteligence, která je chytřejší, než většina populace.
Nová, v pořadí třetí dlouhohrající, deska moravských death thrash groove metalistů AWRIZIS by mohla všude znít z rozhlasu, až bude po apokalypse. Až se náš svět zase očistí od zbytečností. Bude to pochmurný, temný a náročný život. Restart je už ale opravdu potřeba.
"Gears of Fear" krásně vyjadřuje do krvava laděný obal i promo materiály, při poslechu na mě padá stejná beznaděj, jako při sledování večerních zpráv. AWRIZIS dokáží být vznešení, epičtí, rozevlátí, jejich skladby nepostrádají jasné, zřetelné motivy, spoustu rozličných nálad, ze kterých nejvíce převládá melancholie. Občas vyvstane na povrch jemná inspirace třeba takovými HYPOCRISY, SOILWORK, BORKNAGAR, novými CONVULSE. Kapela ale není svázána nijak s žádným stylem. Je spíše vzácnou kompozicí, riffy jsou účelné a songy krásně gradují. Jako bych se procházel po spálené zemi, vzpomínal na to krásné a děsil se ve snech všemi zvěrstvy, kterých je lidstvo schopno. Cloumá se mnou dlouho zadržovaný vztek, smutek, připomínku bych měl snad jenom ke zvuku, který je v některých momentech takový "nevyvážený", působí roztříštěně. Někdy moc nahlas, občas vyniknou zcela jiné nástroje, než bych očekával. Jsou to ale jen drobnosti, jinak jsem spokojený. V téhle kapele se sešla parta velmi talentovaných muzikantů, kteří jsou hraví, skládají inteligentně, s cílem vás rozdrásat do krve. Musím rovnou napsat, že u mě se jim to podařilo. Až jednou zase budete sdílet bolest na sociálních sítích, rozhodně si předtím pusťte tuhle desku. Třeba vás donutí k zamyšlení jako mě. Apokalypsa přichází!

Once upon a time, I loved sci-fi stories about the apocalypse. Thirty years ago and interestingly, a lot of predictions came true. We are connected in one omnipotent network that was originally supposed to connect us and now rather isolates us. I probably don't have to tell you anything about deadly viruses, we experience it right now and here. Some even claim that the apocalypse began a long time ago, just look around. Hate, anger, poisonous saliva, which, whether you like it or not, will eventually infect you anyway. Things are decided by artificial intelligence, which is smarter than the majority of the population.
The new, third long-length album of Moravian death thrash groove metallers AWRIZIS could sound from the radio everywhere, after the apocalypse. When our world is cleansed of uselessness again. It will be a gloomy, dark and demanding life. But a restart is really needed.
"Gears of Fear" beautifully expresses the bloody cover and promo materials, while listening to me the same hopelessness as when watching the evening news. AWRIZIS can be noble, epic, distracting, their compositions do not miss clear, distinct motifs, a lot of different moods, but the most prevalent is melancholy. Sometimes a subtle inspiration by bands such as HYPOCRISY, SOILWORK, BORKNAGAR, new CONVULSE come up. But the band is not tied to any style. It is rather a rare composition, the riffs are purposeful and the songs graduate beautifully. It was as if I was walking on scorched earth, remembering the beautiful, and terrifying in my dreams with all the atrocities that humanity is capable of. I have a long-held anger, sadness, I would only like to mention the sound, which in such moments is so "unbalanced", it seems fragmented. Sometimes too loud, sometimes completely different instruments stand out than I would expect. But these are just trifles, otherwise I'm satisfied. This band brought together a group of very talented musicians who are playful, compose intelligently, in order to scratch your blood. I have to write straight away that they succeeded with me. Once you share the pain on social media again, be sure to play this record first. Maybe they'll make you think like me. The apocalypse is coming!
