Další potrhané tělo, lidé začínají mít strach. Byl to člověk nebo snad zvíře? Nikdo netuší a o stopách si můžeme nechat jenom zdát. Vyloupnuté oči, střeva povalující se vedle oběti. Otisky mocných tesáků, kde se ukrýváš? Útočí ze stínu, lační po krvi, to je jediné, co víme. Ulicemi se vznáší strach, lidé se bojí chodit ven. Hledám, jsem jako pes na lovu. Procházím kanály pod městem. Kdy zaútočí znovu? Kde najdu pravé zlo? 

Setkání s novým albem amerických death metalistů MARASMUS v mnohém připomíná rozzuřenou bestii. Je stejně agresivní, brutální, krvavé. Jako nabroušený nůž, který vám někdo bez varování zabodne do břicha. Chvíli se díváte v údivu, abyste nakonec padli na zem jako kus hadru. Cítím z alba Smrt. 

MARASMUS hrají ostře a nekompromisně, ale nezapomínají ani na temné melodie. Pohybují se ve stejných oblastech jako kapely typu IMMOLATION, DEICIDE, MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL, NILE, KRISIUN, SUFFOCATION. Umí svojí hudbou znázornit zlé a ošklivé činy, kterých je schopen jako druh jenom člověk. Skladby jsou napsány velmi dobře, mají v sobě drive a sílu, jsou heavy a navíc se opravdu skvěle poslouchají. Podceněn nebyl ani mohutný zvuk, obal. "Necrotic Overlord" je poctivým death metalovým dílem po všech stránkách. Vykostí vás zaživa, rozemele na prach a vy za to budete ještě rádi. Žádné zbytečnosti, žádné prázdné pasáže, ale drtivý smrtící kov se zničujícím účinkem. Podávejte prosím podchlazené a se syrovým masem. Při poslechu si připadám, jakoby mě někdo zavřel do márnice s obětmi bestie z úvodu. Bez očí, bez svědomí. Jenom já, mrtvá těla a death metal. MARASMUS jsou na své třetí dlouhohrající desce doslova zabijáčtí. Neznají slitování, ale zároveň jsou songy až morbidně přitažlivé. Takhle nějak si představuji dobrý death metal americké death metalové školy. Masakr!

Imprints of powerful fangs, where are you hiding? Attacking from the shadows hungry for blood, that's all we know. Fear floats through the streets, people are afraid to go outside. I´m looking, I´m like a hunting dog. I walk through the canals below the city. When will they attack again, Where can I find the real evil? 

The meeting with the new album of American death metalists MARASMUS is in many ways reminiscent of an enraged best. It is as aggressive, brutal and bloody as a sharpened knife that someone stabs in your stomach without warning. You look in amazement for a moment, until you finally fall to the ground like a piece of rag. I feel from the album Death.

MARASMUS play sharply and uncompromisingly, but they do not forget the dark melodies either. They move in the same areas as bands such as IMMOLATION, DEICIDE, MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL, NILE, KRISIUN, SUFFOCATION. They can use their music to depict evil and ugly deeds, which only a human being is capable of as a species. The songs are written very well, they have drive and strength in them, they are heavy and they are also really great to listen to. The powerful sound or the cover were not underestimated either. “Necrotic Overlord” is an honest death metal work in all aspects. It will bone you alive, grind you to dust and you will be happy for that. No uselessness, no empty passages, but crushing deadly metal with a devastating effect. Please, serve chilled and with raw meat. When listening, I feel as if someone has locked me in the morgue with the victims of the beast from the beginning. No eyes, no conscience. Just me, dead bodies and death metal. MARASMUS are literally like killers on their third full-length album. They don't know mercy, but at the same time the songs are morbidly attractive. This is how I somehow imagine good death metal of the American death metal school. Massacre!
