Podstupuji stejný rituál každý den. Vstávám brzy, v čase, kdy se temnota loučí s nocí. Musím na hřbitov. Otevřu márnici, nahlédnu dovnitř, jestli přes noc někdo neutekl. Možná byste se divili, jak často se to stává. Přízraky ožívají již za šerosvitu. Rád s nimi rozmlouvám, umožňují mi, stejně jako pravý death metal, nahlédnout na druhou stranu. Za krvavou oponu. Do země nicoty, chladu a věčnosti. Dnes mě čeká exhumace jednoho starého hrobu. Na mramorové desce je napsán nápis PUTERAEON.

Beru do ruky lopatu a během několika hodin se dostanu konečně k plesnivé rakvi. Je nasáklá hnilobou, opředená pavučinami, ale hlavně je v ní uložena nová deska "The Cthulhian Pulse: Call from the Dead City". Její vyzvednutí je jako objev pradávné knihy napsané samotným H.P. Lovercraftem. Přidávám volume a Cthulhu Mythos přede mnou ožívají. Jsem chycen do sítě, pohřben zaživa a navěky proklet.

PUTERAEON patří dlouhodobě k mým nejoblíbenějším old school death metalovým kapelám vůbec. Pokaždé totiž dokáží na svých deskách vytvořit absolutně zničující, černou a mokvající atmosféru. Vzešli ze stejných švédských pohřebišť jako DISMEMBER, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, GRAVE, ENTOMBED a letos se opět vrátili s velmi intenzivním a zákeřným albem. S vynikajícím prašivým zvukem (Dan Swanö) a obalem (Juanjo Castellano), který chci mít i na triku. Švédi se v podzemí pohybují s morbidní jistotou, skladby jsou napsány takovým stylem, že vám popraskají všechny kosti v těle. Navodit těžkou a bezútěšnou náladu, tolik známou právě z knih H.P. Lovercrafta, zase tolik moc skupin neumí. PUTERAEON patří mezi vyvolené. "The Cthulhian Pulse: Call from the Dead City" je jako kus masa prolezlého červy, které vám hodí do ruky bájná bestie. Melodie, nahrubo nasekaná tma, pradávné rituály, amulety vyřezané z lebek. Tohle všechno zde naleznete. Deska je určena pro všechny, kteří mají rádi starý, ryzí a poctivý death metal, dunivé bicí a chřestivé kytary. Podstupuji stejný rituál každý den. Vstávám brzy, v čase, kdy se temnota loučí s nocí. PUTERAEON has long been one of my favourite old school death metal bands ever. They can always create an absolutely destructive, black and wet atmosphere on their records. They came from the same Swedish cemeteries as DISMEMBER, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, GRAVE, ENTOMBED and returned this year with a very intense and insidious album. With an excellent dusty sound (Dan Swanö) and a cover (Juanjo Castellano), which I also want to have on the T-shirt. The Swedes move in underground with morbid certainty, the songs are written in such a way that all the bones in your body will crack. To evoke a difficult and dismal mood, so well-known from the books of H.P. Lovercraft, again, not so many bands can. PUTERAEON is one of the chosen ones. "The Cthulhian Pulse: Call from the Dead City" is like a piece of flesh riddled with worms that throws a mythical beast in your hand.
