Zatloukám do rakve další hřeb. Zemřelý trávil většinu života rouháním a jeho zlé činy se vznášely v márnici jako němá výčitka. Za ty roky, co dělám hrobníka a poslouchám death metal, si nejsem jistý, jestli mají mít i zlí lidé všechny pocty, které pohřeb provází. V tomhle byli v středověku dál. Těla prokletých pohodili za hřbitovní zeď a nechali na pospas toulavým psům. Rakev je zavřena a najednou mám pocit, že se z ní ozývají podivné zvuky.
Velmi podobné pocity mám i z nové desky francouzských death metalistů IRON FLESH. S hudbou kapely jsem se setkal poprvé loni (recenze na předchozí desku "Forged Faith Bleeding" odkazována dole pod článkem) a ihned si mě získali na svoji stranu. Skupina má velký cit pro záhrobní melodie, chlad i temnotu. Je pro mě ozvěnou starých dobrých časů. Jejich death metal je ryzí a opravdový i na novince "Summoning the Putrid".
"Summoning the Putrid" je pro mě vyloženě návykovou záležitostí. Uznávám v hudbě spíše pohřeb do země, než obyčejný žeh. Lépe při něm vynikne osobnost kapely. Líbí se mi zvuk, oceňuji opravdu povedený obal. To jsou ale věci, které umí dnes spousta skupin. Nejvíce mě oslovily nápady, atmosféra celé nahrávky. Jsem při poslechu opravdu zavřený v márnici. Víte o tom, že mrtví přes noc promlouvají? Jsou zrovna na cestě mezi naším a oním světem. Zní to děsivě, ale taková už smrt je. Bez příkras, stejně jako nová deska IRON FLESH. Mám rád malé hřbitovy, kde se všichni se všemi znají. Líbí se mi, když ve mě probudí hudba spoustu obrazů, emocí, nálad. Francouzi tohle všechno umějí na výbornou. Stali se na dlouhou dobu mými průvodci, kulisou k četbě starých hororů. Poslouchal jsem je i soustředěně, obzvláště brzy ráno, když jsem bral do ruky lopatu a rýč. Hroby se musí vykopat, než přijdou první návštěvníci. Myslím, že fanoušci třeba takových ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, SORCERY, DISMEMBER, by mohli být spokojeni. IRON FLESH mají svůj vlastní rukopis, výraz, který sice možná poznají jen staří hrobníci, ale to nemění nic na tom, že nové album "Summoning the Putrid" je excelentní. Zatloukám do rakve další hřeb. Přidávám volume. Těším se na příští noc s mrtvými, těším se na další poslech. Hnilobný death metal, u kterého praskají lebky!

In the years I've been working as a gravedigger and listening to death metal, I'm not sure if even bad people should have all the honors that accompany a funeral. In this, they were further in the Middle Ages. They threw the bodies of the cursed behind the cemetery wall and left them to the stray dogs. The coffin is closed and I suddenly feel strange noises.
I have very similar feelings from the new album of French death metalists IRON FLESH. I first met the band's music last year (review of the previous album "Forged Faith Bleeding" referenced below under the article) and they immediately got me on their side. The band has a great feeling for funeral melodies, coldness and darkness. It's an echo of the good old days for me. Their death metal is pure and real even on the novelty "Summoning the Putrid".
"Summoning the Putrid" is a purely addictive affair for me. I recognize in music more a funeral in the ground than ordinary iron. The personality of the band stands out better. I like the sound, I appreciate the really good packaging. But these are things that many groups can do today. The ideas, the atmosphere of the whole recording appealed to me the most. I'm really locked in the morgue while listening. Do you know that the dead talk overnight? They are on their way between our world and the other. It sounds scary, but that's the way death is. No embellishments, just like the new IRON FLESH album. I like small cemeteries where everyone knows everyone. I like it when music awakens a lot of images, emotions, moods in me. The French know all this very well. They became my guides for a long time, a backdrop for reading old horror movies. I listened intently, especially early in the morning, picking up a shovel and a spade. Graves must be dug before the first visitors arrive. I think fans like ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, SORCERY, DISMEMBER, could be satisfied. IRON FLESH has their handwriting, an expression that may be known only to old gravediggers, but that doesn't change the fact that the new album "Summoning the Putrid" is excellent. I hammer another nail into the coffin. I'm adding volume. I'm looking forward to the next night with the dead, I'm looking forward to more listening. Rotting death metal with skulls cracking!
