Když vyrábíte novou rakev, tak nepotřebujete znát jenom váhu a velikost nebožtíka, ale také jeho život. Mám to takhle nastavené, je to známka dobrého řemesla. Každý den ráno vstávám a chodím do márnice. Měřím mrtvé, podávám si ruku s těmi, kteří ještě nepřešli na druhou stranu. Poslouchám u toho jen dobrý starý death metal. Nedávno se mi dostala do rukou prvotina německých SOUL GRINDER. Ihned se stala na nějaký čas mým průvodcem. Vyrobil jsme za tu dobu ty nejkrásnější rakve. Mrtvoly by mohly vyprávět.

Riddick Art odvedli na obalu, jak už u nich bývá dobrým zvykem, skvělou práci. Stejně jako studio a produkce, kteří jsou podepsáni pod zvukem. Mě zkrátka od prvních tónů až do konce baví "Chronicles of Decay" baví poslouchat.  Je to death metal pro všechny, kdo jej mají rádi v jeho old schoolové podobě. Řeže to!

Nejkrásnější jsou pro mě chvíle, když si na chvilku lehnu do čerstvé voňavé rakve a pustím si novou desku "Chronicles of Decay". Jsem pokaždé přenesen do devadesátých let minulého století. Užívám si atmosféru nahrávky, která je nebývale temná a chladná. Zároveň z ní ale cítím takový ten starý neklid, nadšení a hlavně pravou nefalšovanou smrt. Němci si se mnou hrají jako šelma se svojí obětí. Osobně si myslím, že se nejedná jen o poctivé řemeslo, ale nahrávka časem uzrála jako dobře uleželá mrtvola. Pořád platí pravidlo, že hrát death metal se sice dá naučit, ale musíte do něj dát ještě pořádný kus srdce. SOUL GRINDER nezapomínají ani na melodie a vy si tak můžete alespoň na chvilku vydechnout. Je to ale jen na moment, kapela vás nakonec stejně strhne do víru nekompromisních riffů. Tahle deska masakruje, ničí, pohřbívá zaživa, je jako stará, poctivě vyrobená rakev. Budeš i ty dalším fanouškem, dalším, kdo do ní ulehne a navěky spočine? Až navěky, amen! Album, které vás rozemele na prach!

Riddick Art did a great job on the cover, as usual. Like the studio and the production, which are signs under the sound. I just really enjoy listening to “Chronicles of Decay” a lot, from the beginning to the end. It is death metal for everyone who loves it in its old school form. It cuts!

The most beautiful moments for me are when I lie down for a whole in a fresh fragrant coffin and play the new album “Chronicles of Decay”. I am always carried over to the 90s. I enjoy the atmosphere of the recording, which is unusually dark and cold. At the same time, however, I feel such an old uneasiness, enthusiasm and, above all, a real unadulterated death. The Germans are playing with me like a beast with their victim. Personally, I don't think it's just an honest craft, but the recording has matured over time as a well-laid corpse. The rule that death metal can be learned but you still have to put a good bit of heart into it, is still true. SOUL GRINDER don´t forget about melodies either, so you can breathe a sigh of relief for at least a while. But it's only for a moment, the band will eventually pull you into a whirlwind of uncompromising riffs. THis record massacres, destroys, is buried alive, is like an dold, honestly made coffin. Will you be another fan, another who will lie down and rest forever? Forever, amen! An album that will grind you to dust!
