Vždy jsem rád a s chutí navštěvoval opuštěné kostely, staré hřbitovy. Fascinuje mě jejich atmosféra, bývají nasáklé smutkem, strachem, chladem a temnotou. Někdy to vypadá, že se svět kolem zbláznil, ale zde je klid. A když pak najdu vchod do podzemních chodeb, usmívám se. Otevírám rezavé dveře. Vstupuji dovnitř. Poslouchám u toho novou desku švédských REVOLTING. Démoni se znovu probudili. Mrazí mě v kostech. Ve svých starých zpuchřelých kostech.
Death metal se dá hrát mnoha způsoby. Já mám nejraději ten starý, prašivý a plesnivý, u kterého pukají lebky, zombie tančí a je potřísněný krví a severem. REVOLTING už asi nikdy nepřijdou s převratnou nahrávkou, která by otočila hudebními dějinami. Není to ani účelem. Hlavní je, že si pořád mohu užít rozdrcené lebky, hororovou atmosféru i smrt, které jsou ze skladeb pořád cítit.
"The Shadow At The World's End" se odehrává v rytmu třeba takových PAGANIZER, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, EDGE OF SANITY, TIAMAT, HYPOCRISY, GRAVE. Tradiční chladné severské melodie se potkávají se zničujícími pasážemi. Osobně z motivů slyším určitou melancholii, takovou zvláštní náladu, která se jako jedovatý had proplétá celým albem. REVOLTING sází na jistotu, nikde nic nepřebývá, ani neschází. Parádní je obal od Juanjo Castellana. Potkávám protáhlé obličeje duchů, ztrácím se v krvavé mlze. Vnímám hudbu hlavně přes emoce a deska se mi líbí. Mohl bych psát o navzájem si hodně podobných riffech (Rogga má tolik kapel, že se musí opakovat, to dá rozum), o velmi podobné produkci, lehké monotónnosti a stereotypu, ale nebudu to dělat. Názor si dnes stejně každý udělá sám. Pro mě je hlavní, že jsem znovu v katakombách, v hororovém filmu. Nasávám temné nálady, procházím se nekonečnými chodbami podzemí. Jsem spokojený, podupávám si nohou a svět je náhle černý. Myslím, že je vše v nejlepším pořádku. Berte a nebo nechte být. Starý, prašivý, severský death metal s hororovou atmosférou!

I have always enjoyed visiting the abandoned churches and old cemeteries. I am fascinated by their atmosphere, they are soaked with sadness, fear, cold and darkness. Sometimes it seems that the world around has gone crazy, but there is peace. And then when I find the entrance to the underground corridors, I smile. I'm opening a rusty door. I'm going inside. I'm listening to a new album of Swedish REVOLTING. The demons woke up again. My bones freeze. My old puffy bones.
Death metal can be played in many ways. I like the old, dusty and moldy one, where skulls sprout, zombies dance and are stained with blood and by the north. REVOLTING will probably never come up with a groundbreaking recording that would turn music history. It's not even the purpose. The main thing is that I can still enjoy the crushed skulls, the horror atmosphere and death, which can still be felt from the songs.
"The Shadow At The World's End"
takes place in the rhythm of such PAGANIZER, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, EDGE OF
SANITY, TIAMAT, HYPOCRISY, GRAVE. Traditional cool Nordic melodies meet
devastating passages. Personally, I hear a certain melancholy from the motifs,
such a strange mood that intertwines like a venomous snake throughout the
album. REVOLTING bets on certainty nothing is left or missing. The cover by
Juanjo Castellan is great. I meet the elongated faces of ghosts, getting lost
in the bloody mist. I perceive music mainly through emotions and I like the
record. I could write about very similar riffs to each other (Rogga has so many
bands that they have to be repeated, it makes sense), about very similar
production, monotony and stereotype, but I won't do it. Today, everyone can
make their own opinion. The main thing for me is that I'm in the catacombs
again, in a horror movie. I soak up the dark mood, I walk through the endless
corridors of the underground. I'm happy, I'm stamping my feet and the world is
suddenly black. I think everything is fine. Take it or leave it. Old, dusty,
Nordic death metal with a horror atmosphere!
