Jedním z nejhorších mučení, které podle mě bylo ve středověku vymyšleno, tak bylo lámání v kole. Princip byl jednoduchý, nebožák byl přivázán k dřevěnému kolu a katové mu kladivy a palicemi drtili postupně klouby, jednotlivé kosti, žebra a zlatým hřebem pro obecenstvo bylo rozseknutí lebky. Výhodou pro přihlížející bylo, že obviněný dlouho žil a hodně trpěl a jak známo, tak dav vždycky lační po krvi.
Na lámání v kole jsem si vzpomněl, když jsem poslouchal poprvé novou deskou MEGASCAVENGER. Je pod ní podepsán švédský riff master Rogga Johansson a garantuji vám, že vaše kosti a lebka budou také rozdrceny. Ne, není to rozhodně nic nového, spoustu motivů jsme už slyšeli, nápady jsou také velmi podobné. Ale jako celek sedí vše na svých místech.
"Songs in the Key of Madness" je death metalem ve stylu BOLT THROWER, GRAVE, PAGANIZER, ASPHYX, BENEDICTION, EXHUMED, IMPETIGO, GHOUL, FRIGHTMARE, BLOOD FREAK, na tom se nic nemění. Rogga nijak nevybočuje ze svých vyjetých kolejí. Vlastně to po něm ani nikdo nechceme. Tohle je deska pro všechny věrné old school death metalové fanoušky, zcela mimo současné hlavní proudy. Mě se na MEGASCAVENGER líbí předaná energie, tlak, síla, zvuk, obal a vlastně i nápady. Dobře se poslouchá, i když to samozřejmě není nic nového v záhrobí. Ale to bychom dnes mohli napsat skoro o všech kapelách. Pro mě je důležitý celkový dojem a ten je opět v pořádku. Pokud máte tenhle rukopis rádi, budete spokojeni i nyní. Nečekejte nic nového, ani objevného, ale na rovinu, kosti jsou lámány v kole, riffy stále drtí a na nějakou tu špínu se také nehledí. Navíc jsem zjistil, že se u nové desky velmi dobře pije pivo, což je pro mě dalším pozitivním střípkem do skládanky. Rogga je zkrátka nezničitelný démon, který nám opět dokazuje, jak se má hrát pravý nefalšovaný a ryzí death metal. Nic jiného nedostanete a vlastně ani nechcete. Smrtící kov, u kterého pukají lebky tlakem!

I remembered breaking in the wheel when I first listened to the new MEGASCAVENGER record. Swedish riffs and master Rogga Johansson is signed under it and I guarantee you that your bones and skull will also be crushed. No, it's definitely nothing new, we've heard a lot of motives, the ideas are very similar. But as a whole, everything sits in its places.
"Songs in the Key of Madness" is a death metal in the style of BOLT THROWER, GRAVE, PAGANIZER, ASPHYX, BENEDICTION, EXHUMED, IMPETIGO, GHOUL, FRIGHTMARE, BLOOD FREAK, nothing changes. Rogga doesn't deviate in any way from his ruts. In fact, no one even wants it. This is a record for all loyal old school death metal fans, completely out of the current mainstream. At MEGASCAVENGER, I like the energy, pressure, power, sound, cover and, in fact, the ideas passed on. It is well listenable, although of course it's nothing new in the grave. But we could write that about almost all bands today. The overall impression is important to me and it is fine again. If you like this distinct style, you will be satisfied even now. Don't expect anything new or discoverable, but to be honest, the bones are broken in the wheel, the riffs are still crushed and they are pretty dirty! On top, I found out that the new record is great with a cold beer, what is another positive piece of the puzzle for me. Rogga is simply an indestructible demon, which once again proves to us how to play real, unadulterated and pure death metal. You don't get anything else and you don't really want to. Death metal with skulls breaking pressure!
