Mrtvolné ticho. Nicota. Prázdnota. V chrámu bolesti je i světlo černé. Čekám na smrt, ale nepřichází. Místo ní se objeví našeptávači GÖDEN. Kapela, která mě svým doom/death metalem doslova uhranula. Novinka je jako temná, zákeřná modlitba. Chorobný šepot ze záhrobí. Absolutní symfonie zla. Plíživého a jedovatého zla. Album poslouchám již přes půl roku a pořád jsem se neodhodlal sepsat pár slov. Mám k podobné muzice velký respekt a mé prsty se pokaždé nad klávesnicí zastavily. Raději jsem zhasnul a poslouchal.

Až dnes, v mrazivém ránu, jsem se odvážil. GÖDEN mají ve svém středu Stephena Flama, bývalého člena slavných WINTER. Skupiny, která mě svým albem "Into Farkness" provedla mým mládím. Kdo pamatujete, asi víte o čem píšu. Tahle deska byla tenkrát doslova zjevením. GÖDEN jsou neméně dobří, naléhaví, magičtí, podmaniví. Dokáží změnit mrtvolné ticho ve smrt.

 

Jakoby byla v "Beyond Darkness" zakonzervována historie celého doom metalu. Nahrávka mě přenesla svými náladami a atmosférou do míst, kde se stalo něco zlého. Sevřely se mi vnitřnosti a já doslova nasával do černa zabarvené nálady. Na desce se sešli zkušení muzikanti, kteří perfektně rozumí svému řemeslu. Navíc dokáží napsat motivy, které vám vypálí cejch do hlavy. Songy jsou dlouhé, ponuré, smutné, bolestivé, zákeřné. Jako choroba, která dlouhou dobu spala ve staré kobce, aby se letos znovu probudila a zasekla do nás svůj zkažený dráp. Nebudu vám hudbu GÖDEN k nikomu přirovnávat. Nesluší se to. Raději poslouchejte. "Beyond Darkness" je albem pro lidi s fantazií. Neznám nic lepšího, než okno otevřené do noci, dobrou knihu a volume pořádně doprava. Pro přesně takovéto desky je pořád skvělé poslouchat hudbu. Pánové jsou jako démoni za starých časů. Ihned mě přikovali na zeď, donutili pokleknout a nechali mě unášet po řece Styx. Jedovaté modlitby, zaříkávání, které musely vzniknout na onom světě. Líbí se mi, jakým způsobem je album nahráno, obdivuji zahnívající zvuk, plochy kláves i obal, který je otiskem ze záhrobí. Jako celek je "Beyond Darkness" úžasným doom metalovým opusem. Inspirací musely být duše zemřelých. Démoni a smrt. Dokonalá esence temnoty a chladu!

Creeping and poisonous evil. I've been listening to the album for over half a year and I still haven't decided to write a few words. I have great respect for such music and my fingers always stopped over the keyboard. I'd rather go out and listen.

Only today, on a freezing morning, I dare. GÖDEN have Stephen Flam, a former member of the famous WINTER, at their center. Bands that took me through my youth by album "Into Darkness". Whoever remembers, you probably know what I'm writing about. This record was literally a revelation at the time. GÖDEN are also great, urgent, magical, captivating. They can turn a dead silence into death.

It is as if the history of all doom metal has been preserved in "Beyond Darkness". The recording took me with its moods and atmosphere to places where something bad happened. My guts tightened and I literally sucked into a black mood. Experienced musicians gathered on the record, who perfectly understand their craft. In addition, they can write motifs that will burn a mark in your head. The songs are long, gloomy, sad, painful, insidious. Like a disease that slept in an old dungeon for a long time to wake up again this year and stuck its rotten claw in us. I will not compare GÖDEN's music to anyone. It's not appropriate. You better listen it. "Beyond Darkness" is an album for people with imagination. I don't know nothing better than a window open into the night, a good book and a volume right. For just such records like this, it's still great to listen to music. These Gentlemen are like demons in the old days. They immediately nailed me to the wall, made me kneel and let me drift along the Styx River. Poisonous prayers, incantations that must have arisen in the afterlife. I like the way the album is recorded, I admire the rotting sound, the keyboard and the cover, which is an imprint from the grave. As a whole, "Beyond Darkness" is an amazing doom metal opus. The souls of the dead must have been the inspiration. Demons and death. The perfect essence of darkness and cold!
