Dělám nočního hlídače v kostnici již dlouhá léta a jsem zvyklý na ledacos. Občas slyším divné zvuky, někdy mě zachvátí neskutečná tíseň a smutek, ale pokaždé si rád poslechnu pravý ryzí death metal. Dnes bude dlouhá noc, mám totiž v přehrávači novou desku holandských maniaků BURIAL REMAINS. Vedle v místnosti někdo přerovnává staré kosti. Ve vzduchu je cítit pravá smrt a zombie se znovu probudily.

Není divu, druhé album "Spawn of Chaos" je opět jasnou a zřetelnou odpovědí na poslední věci člověka. Holanďané na to jdou klasicky, přesně způsobem, jakým to mám nejraději. Temnota, chlad, lebky pukající pod tlakem. Jakoby někdo odjistil granát a hodil jej do podzemí. 

S novým vokalistou Wimem de Vriesem, který nahradil vynikajícího Svena, působí kapela jako rozjetý vlak. Inspirováni v katakombách kapelami typu GRAVE, DISMEMBER, BOLT THROWER, BENEDICTION, GOD MACABRE, ENTOMBED, AUTOPSY, nám znovu přinášej mrazivé melodie, surový drsný sound (Jonny Pettersson) a spoustu zkažené krve. Do hry vás uvede mocný obal (John Quevedo Janssen) a vy si tak můžete užít po všech stránkách perfektně odvedené dílo. Po mě je ale nejdůležitější celkový dojem, spousta zajímavých momentů. U nás v kostnici funguje všechno trošku jinak a sem přesně patří i BURIAL REMAINS. Hrají se zkušenostmi starých hrobníků a navíc přidávají tolik potřebné ingredience - drive, sílu a energii. Vedle v místnosti někdo přerovnává shnilé kosti a já už teď vím, na jakou hudbu budeme dnes tančit na čerstvých hrobech. Zahalte tváře do kápí, přidejte volume a připravte se. Zombie by mohly vyprávět, je jen tak nějaký obyčejný death metal neošálí, líbí se jim, stejně jako mě, smrt ohlodaná až na dřeň. Klasický, chladný a temný smrtící kov, u kterého vám ztuhne krev v žilách! Výborně!

I've been working as a night security in the ossuary for many years and I'm used to a lot of things. Sometimes I hear strange sounds, sometimes I am overwhelmed by unreal distress and sadness, but I always like to listen to real pure death metal. Tonight will be a long night, because I have a new record of Dutch maniacs BURIAL REMAINS in the player. Next to the room, someone is rearranging old bones. There is a real death in the air and the zombies have woken up again.

No wonder, the second album "Spawn of Chaos" is again a clear and distinct answer to man's last things. The Dutch go for it classically, exactly the way I like it the most. Darkness, cold, skulls bursting under the pressure. It was as if someone had fired a grenade and threw it to underground.

With the new vocalist Wim de Vries, who replaced the excellent Sven, the band looks like a runaway train. Inspired in the catacombs by bands like GRAVE, DISMEMBER, BOLT THROWER, BENEDICTION, GOD MACABRE, ENTOMBED, AUTOPSY, bring us again freezing melodies, raw rough sound (Jonny Pettersson) and lots of spoiled blood. A powerful cover (John Quevedo Janssen) will bring you into the game and you can enjoy a perfectly executed work in all aspects. But the most important thing for me is the overall impression, a lot of interesting moments. In our ossuary, everything works a little differently and this is exactly where BURIAL REMAINS belongs. They play with the experience of old gravediggers and, in addition, add much-needed ingredients - drive, strength and energy. Next to the room, someone is rearranging rotten bones, and I already know what music we're going to dance to on fresh graves today. Wrap your faces in hoods, add volume and get ready. Zombies could tell, some ordinary death metal doesn't fool them, they like them, just like me, death gnawed to the marrow. Classic, cold and dark death metal that makes your blood clot! Great!
