A few questions - interview with death metal band from Finland - CRYPTIC HATRED.
Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.?
Cryptic Hatred was formed in early 2019 by Tatu Saves, Jami Lamio, Miska Hagelberg and Eemil Lajoma. We started playing cover songs in our school auditorium, but quickly we figured why wouldn't we start writing our own songs. We play pure death metal!
Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?
The album was recorded in a few different places. All drums and bass were recorded at our drummers house, guitars in our rehearsal place and vocals in our singers home. Everyone was involved in the production but our Guitarist/Vocalist Eemil Lajoma mixed it and mastered it.
How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?
We have not released any physical copies yet, but they are coming in the future. You can find the album on all streaming platforms!
Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?
Guitarist/Vocalist Eemil Lajoma wrote all the lyrics. The lyrical theme is the most basic death metal lyrical theme: zombies, blood and killing this and that.
Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?
Our drummer Tatu Saves designed our logo! Album cover was made by Nightmare Imagery. We have all the basic social network accounts such as: Instagram, Facebook etc. And we think that social media is very important, it's really good for promoting and connecting with listeners!
Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?
We released the album by ourselves via Distrokid. We are satisfied with everything, no problems.
Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?
Our inspiration comes mainly from 90's old school death metal, but we also love some more modern bands. To name some of our favorite bands here are a few: Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Gojira, Suffocation, Defeated Sanity.
Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?
We have not really tried to contact any labels. As soon as we get some physical copies we will try!
How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?
We have not played any gigs yet.
What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?
Our plans for the future are to write more music, play gigs, get on tour and sign a record deal. We want to chase our dreams and become touring successful musicians
