Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.?
V.: Nekrovault was founded early 2017 by P. (bass/vocals) and myself to create our personal vision of darker and atmospheric Death Metal. We just tried to go back to our „blackenend“ roots and build music, which we want to hear by our own without limitation. We found in SS.(lead guitar) a more than talented guitarist (longtime friend and also founder of mighty Sacroscum!), who composed and devised the most parts of our debut album. Our line up became completed with our female guitarist S. and we played our first show in february 2018….and this was just the uncanny beginning.
Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?
V.: All drums were recorded at our „Scumlight-Studio“ in Memmingen. Guitars and vocals were recorded at the „Ruins-Rust Studio“ by Fabian Krapp. He also did the whole mixing for us. Finally the mastering were done by Laurent Teubl (Chapel of Disease) in his Sculpt Sound Studio.
How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?
V.: Van Records released round about 2000 CDs and 1000 vinyls. The cassette version will be released in Summer/early autumn and is limited to 300.
Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?
V.: The lyrical concept was created by our guitarist SS.. The album tells stories inspired by grim local folklore, necromancy and , of course, Dis Pater himself.
Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?
V.: Mattias Frisk (Vanhelgd) created our Logo.
Our guitarist SS. had devised most of the album and also the idea for this visual implementation. He wanted a illustration of a „Monolith“ paired with this kind of unusual purple colour, which you can find on some versions from „De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas“ and which radiated some kind of menacing and mystical atmosphere. Chris from Misanthropic-Art implemented his idea perfect, as you can see.

Social networks are just importanted for us, to share and spread concert dates und maybe some news.
Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?
V.: Van-Records choose us for releasing our Album! And we´re more than satisfied with this collaboration.
Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?
V.: The main influnences for our guitarist SS. on the album were Celtic Frost/Tryptikon and of course Morbid Angel. We´re all mostly inspired by music between Profanatica and The Cure.
Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?
V.: We sent our „Demo“ in 2017 only to Van Records...rest is history.
How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?
V.: We played our first show in Februray 2018. I don´t know really, how many shows we played since than. Personally I prefer club shows. It´s a better way to spit the energy into the audience. There are many shows, we remember. If I have to choose...maybe our show in Berlin at the „Wolf City Festival“ 2019.
What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?
V.: At the moment we have no special plans for the future in this crazy times around us. Our record came out in March 2020. So we´re still waiting to spread this massive „Totenzug“ live! Spreading DEATH & CHAOS is the achieve with the band! Ugh!
