Stojíme tu nad čerstvě vykopaným hrobem a naše myšlenky poletují jako hejno much kolem mrtvoly. Zmrzlá země, mlhavé ráno, je čas otevřít rakev s nápisem ULTHAR na boku. Beru do rukou sekyru a nadzvedávám víko. Uvnitř je jen zloba, strach, šílenství, nenávist, temnota a skvělý death metal ušpiněný blackem. Připadám si jako ve starém hororu z osmdesátých let. Nálada desky je velmi podobná. Démoni se znovu probudili.

Minulá nahrávka "Cosmovore" mě doslova uhranula (recenze odkazována dole pod článkem). S novinkou to mám hodně podobné. Stačilo pár společných chvil a podlehl jsem temnotě také. ULTHAR totiž nehrají jen starý smrtící kov a black metal, ale jsou také tajemní, záhadní, nebál bych se napsat i magičtí. Hudba je zde sice stará, ale obsahuje i spoustu modernějších postupů. 

ULTHAR hrají poctivě, zajímavě. Mají svůj vlastní výraz. Zpočátku mohou sice některým posluchačům připadat nepřístupní a komplikovaní, ale doporučuji dát desce čas. Jednotlivé pochmurné nuance vylezou na povrch až po nějaké době. Ve skladbách se také ukrývá těžko definovatelný neklid, černá jiskra, kterou dokáží do muziky dle mého skromného názoru vložit jen opravdu dobří muzikanti. Riffy řežou ostrou stranou nože, vokál je chorobný, zvuk průrazný a špinavý zároveň. Už dnes vím, že tuhle rakev zpátky do země jen tak nevrátím. Uložím ji do márnice a budu se k ní rád a často vracet. "Providence" je jako negace všeho dobrého. Nebo průchod labyrintem plným zrcadel. V každém můžete spatřit jiného démona. Na album se dá dívat z různých pohledů, ale ten můj je veskrze pozitivní. Dostal jsem totiž opět to, co jsem žádal. Absolutní black death metalové inferno! ULTHAR jsou ještě víc šílení, než na předchozí desce. Nutno rovnou dodat, že tahle cesta jim sluší jako smrt. Vynikající záležitost pro všechny fanoušky temnoty!

We stand here over a freshly dug grave and our thoughts fly like a flock of flies around a corpse. Frozen ground, foggy morning, it's time to open the casket with the inscription ULTHAR on the side. I take the ax in my hands and lift the lid. Inside there are just malice, fear, madness, hatred, darkness and great death metal dirtied with black. I feel like in an old 1980s horror movie. The mood of the new record is very similar. The demons woke up again.

The last record entitled "Cosmovore" literally enchanted me (review referenced you can find below the article). And I experience a similar feeling with the new record. A few moments together were enough, and I succumbed to the darkness as well. ULTHAR not only plays old death metal and black metal, but they are also mysterious. I would not be afraid to write their music is magical. The music is old here, but it also contains a lot of modern techniques.

ULTHAR play honestly, interestingly. They have their own expression. At first, some listeners may find them inaccessible and complicated, but I recommend giving more time to this record. The individual gloomy nuances will come to the surface after some time. There is also a hard-to-define restlessness in the songs, a black spark, which, in my humble opinion, only really good musicians can put into music. The riffs cut with the sharp side of the knife, the vocals are sick, the sound piercing and dirty at the same time. I already know today that I will not just return this coffin to the ground. I will put it into the morgue, and I will be happy to return to it very often. "Providence" is like a negation of all good. Or passage through a labyrinth full of mirrors. You can see a different demon in each of these mirrors. You can look at the album from different points of view, but mine is completely positive. I got what I asked for again. Absolute black death metal inferno! ULTHAR is even crazier than on the previous record. It must be added at once that this path suits them like death. A great record for all fans of darkness!
