Chtěl bych se nadechnout, ale nejde to. Pálí mě na prsou. Zástava srdce, bolest a strach. Smrt z vyděšení, má mrtvola se šklebí i na vlastním pohřbu. Spouštějí mě do země, zástupy pozůstalých vzlykají. Mám rád death metal, který mě dokáže přenést na staré hřbitovy, vyvolat ve mě emoce, roztrhat mě na kusy. Prvotina finských FOR THE CROWN mě baví po všech stránkách.
Spousta melodií, chlad a tlak. Potkal jsem znovu svoji vlastní smrt a teď si užívám ostrý, průrazný zvuk. "Forging the New Era" mě provázelo na mých toulkách podzemím a já dávno věděl, že jsme si navzájem souzeni. Peklo si totiž nevybírá, peklo ví.
FOR THE CROWN rozhodně nejsou progresivní kapelou, neobjevují nic nového. Drží se zavedených pořádků a dělají to dobře. Mají svůj ksicht, výraz. Hodně k tomu přispívají melodie, které jsou zajímavé a neotřelé. Osobně bych ocenil více špíny a surovosti, ale to pravděpodobně není na pořadu dne. Finy jsem si zařadil mezi kapely, které poslouchám spíše ve chvílích odpočinku. Líbí se mi, že dokáží zatlačit na pilu, ale nedělají to za každou cenu. Hlavní je zde skladba jako taková. "Forging the New Era" má temně nakažlivou atmosféru. Připomíná mi první setkání s Bestií, pohled do její rozšklebené tváře. FOR THE CROWN zvládají velmi dobře death metalové řemeslo a ještě navíc přidávají kus sebe samého. Jedná se o prvotinu a k některým věcem by měl být člověk shovívavý (většinou to tak dělám), ale zde to není vůbec potřeba. Tahle smečka obstojí. Jde si svoji vlastní cestou a to se dnes počítá. Mám rád, když mě probodnou chladné melodie. Schválně, zkuste si "Forging the New Era" sami a uvidíte. Jen si dejte pozor, abyste neshořeli.

Lots of melodies, cold and pressure. I have met my own death again, and now I am enjoying a sharp, piercing sound. “Forging the New Era” accompanied me on my wanderings underground, and I knew long ago that we were doomed. The hell does not choose, the hell knows.
FOR THE CROWN are definitely not a progressive band, they are not discovering anything new. THey stick to established order and do it well. THey have their face, their expression. Melodies that are interesting and original contribute a lot to this. Personally, I would appreciate more dirt and cruelty, but that's probably not on the agenda. I have ranked Finns among the bands that I listen to when I relax. I like that they can push the saw but they don´t do it at all costs. The main thing here is the song itself. “Forging the New Era” has a darkly infectious atmosphere. It reminds me of the first encounter with the Beast, the look in its grimacing face. FOR THE CROWN do a very good death metal craft and add a piece of themselves. It is a first time thing and for some things we should be forgiving (usually I am) but here it is not necessary. This pack will survive. They go in their own way and that counts today. I like when cold melodies pierce me. Deliberately, try “Forging the New Era” yourself and you´ll see. Just be careful not to burn yourself.
