Vždycky jsem si myslel, že jednou bude lidstvo zničeno při jaderné katastrofě. Nebo při nekonečné válce. Připadala v úvahu i nějaká epidemie. Ale není to pravda. Lidé se jako druh zničí sami. Propojeni v jedné síti se postupně do popředí dostanou ti zlí a nakonec ovládnou naše myšlenky. Apokalypsa dávno začala v našich hlavách. S tím musím s pražskou death metalovou skupinou CONSEQUENCES souhlasit. Jejich prvotina tato tvrzení jasně potvrzuje.

Jedná se o nekompromisní syrový a surový smrtící kov, který vám nedá vydechnout. Skladby vás, stejně jako jaderný výbuch, otisknou na protější zeď. Pro mě má album jednu zásadní devizu - opravdu dobře se poslouchá. Navíc má přesně takový ten úderný zvuk, který mi dělá dobře. Některé struktury jsou zpočátku trošku nepřehledné a je nutné jim dát čas, ale když vydržíte, tak budete po zásluze odměněni krutou smrtí. 

CONSEQUENCES hrají komplikovaně, přesto si songy zachovávají potřebnou temnou atmosféru. Death metal v podobném hávu sice asi nikdy nebude okupovat přední místa v žebříčcích lesklých časopisů, ale takhle v malém klubu s dobrým zvukem vám pánové pěkně nakopou zadky. "Survival Mechanism" má v sobě drive i sílu. Je to poctivá drtička kostí, ale nejedná se jen o obyčejnou kopírku věcí minulých. Pánové (již se zkušenostmi z jiných kapel) u skládání přemýšleli a je to hodně znát. Jsem rád za každou podobnou smečku, která (právě i díky čitelnému zvuku ze studia Davos) ráda objevuje nová zákoutí. Je extrémní a zároveň dokáže předložit hudbu, u které bylo odvedeno dobré řemeslo. Nebývá to (nejen) v našich končinám pravidlem. Album je ochutnávkou, příslibem do budoucna, morbidní ozvěnou s jasným sdělením. Líbí se mi práce bubeníka, ale nezaostávají ani ostatní. Brutalita se zde potká s temnotou, chladem a dobrými nápady. Ale abych jen nechválil, některé songy jsou možná až příliš dlouhé, osobně bych je trošku zkrátil. Pánové na můj vkus občas až moc popustili uzdu své fantazie. Jsou to ale jen drobnosti, které mi nemohou pokazit celkový dojem. "Survival Mechanism" bylo testováno na několika death metalistech a ani jeden nepřežil. Osobně dávám  CONSEQUENCES razítko kvality a těším se na další záseky z jejich stáje. Apokalypsa dávno nastala! Slyšte, slyšte, slyšte!

I always thought that one day humanity would be destroyed in a nuclear catastrophe or during an endless war. An epidemic was also possible. But it's not true. As a species, humans will destroy themselves on their own. Connected in one network, the bad guys gradually come to the fore and eventually they will control our thoughts. The apocalypse began a long time ago in our heads. I have to agree with the Prague death metal band CONSEQUENCES. Their first album clearly confirms these claims.

It is an uncompromising raw and brutal death metal that will not let you breathe. The songs, like the nuclear explosion, will imprint you on the opposite wall. For me, the album has one major feature - it listens really well. Plus, it possesses that striking sound that makes me feel good. Some structures are a bit confusing at first and require more time, but if you persevere, you will be rewarded with a cruel death.

CONSEQUENCES play complicatedly, yet the songs retain the necessary dark atmosphere. Death metal in a similar way will probably never occupy the leading positions in the rankings of metal magazines, but in this manner, the gentlemen will kick your asses in a small club with a good sound. "Survival Mechanism" has both, the drive and power. It's an honest bone crusher, but it's not just an ordinary copier of things from the past. Gentlemen (already with experience from other bands) have been thinking about composing and you can hear it from the songs. I'm happy for every similar band that (thanks to the readable sound from the Davos studio) likes to discover new things. They are extreme and at the same time, they can present music that has been well done. This is not the rule in our region/country. The album is a tasting sample, a promise for the future, a morbid echo with a clear message. I like the work of a drummer, but the others don't lag behind either. Brutality meets darkness, coldness and good ideas. But on the other hand, some songs may be too long; I personally would shorten them a bit. Gentlemen sometimes unleashed their imagination more than I would prefer. But these are just little things that can't spoil my overall impression. Personally, I give CONSEQUENCES a stamp of quality and I look forward to more music from their headquarter. The apocalypse began a long time ago! Listen, listen, listen!
