Představte si nekonečný močál, ve kterém máte strach. Stačí jedno šlápnutí vedle a skončíte jako desítky nešťastníků, jejichž těla se rozkládají všude kolem. Zápach rozkládajících se tkání, odér smrti. Cíl vaší cesty je jasný, chrám uprostřed lesů, opuštěný a ztracený jako vaše duše. Kdysi se tu odehrávaly krvavé rituály, byly vzývány temné síly a otevírala se brána na onen svět. Také cítíte v kostech chlad? Démoni se znovu probudili.

Říkají si ANGEROT a zaujali mě již svojí vynikající prvotinou "The Splendid Iniquity" (2018). Pánové mají velkou schopnost složit tajemné, magické, studené melodie, které nejen že se vám zadřou pod kůži, ale ještě proniknou hluboko do vašich mozků. I letos, na novém albu "The Divine Apostate", jsou opět ANGEROT mocní, šílení a temní.

ANGEROT vzešli ze stejných kalných vod jako GRAVE, ENTRAILS, ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, DISMEMBER, CARNAGE, BLOODBATH. Dokáží být neurvale drtiví, zničující, ale nebojí se ani mrazivých melodií. Novinka má skvělý zvuk, zajímavý obal a několik tun nápadů, které vás přikovají na zeď. Líbí se mi i určitý, do black metalu hozený, náboj. Toulám se v mokřadech death metalu již dlouhá léta, občas se zastavím a stále objevuji nové smečky, které jsou uvěřitelné, ryzí a opravdové. Nezáleží mi příliš na tom, jací jsou v kapele zdatní muzikanti, ale spíše na celkovém dojmu, na předaných emocích. A u hudby ANGEROT mám i letos pocit, že jsem stahován do hlubokých močálů, každý další krok, každý další riff mě obepíná jako shnilé rostliny. Za chvíli budu i já jen hromadou kostí, ležících podél cesty. Hrob beze jména, "The Divine Apostate" je pro mě albem, které mě zaujalo svojí atmosférou, roztodivnou paletou temných nálad i razancí. Ostré hroty nabroušených hřebů, pronikajících do mé hlavy, těla i duše. Navíc, hosté jako Snowy Shaw (King Diamond, Memento Mori, Notre Dame atd.), Terrance Hobbs (Suffocation) a Ben Ash (Carcass, Satyricon - live) dodávají nahrávce na exkluzivitě. Studený, temný rituál smrti!

They call themselves ANGEROT and have already fascinated me with their excellent debut “The Splendid Iniquity” (2018). Those guys have the great ability to compose mysterious, magical, cold melodies that not only get stuck under your skin but also penetrate deep into your brains. Again, on the new album “The Divine Apostate” ANGEROT are powerful, insane and dark again.

ANGEROT came from the same turbid waters as GRAVE, ENTRAILS, ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, DISMEMBER, CARNAGE, BLOODBATH. They can be relentlessly overwhelming and destructive, but they are not afraid of freezing melodies either. The new album has a great sound, an interesting cover and several tons of ideas that will lure you to the wall. I also like a certain charge thrown into black metal. I have been wandering in the wetlands of death metal for many years, sometimes I stop and keep discovering new packs that are believable, pure and real. I don't care much about how capable musicians are in the band but rather about the overall impression, the emotions.And with the music of ANGEROT this year, I feel that I am being drawn into deep swamps. Every step, every other riff surround me like rotten plants. In a moment I´ll be just a bunch of bones lying along the way. The Tomb without a name, “The Divine Apostate” is an album which fascinates me with its atmosphere, a strange palette of dark moods and force. Sharp spikes of sharpened nails penetrating my head, body and soul. In addition, guests such as Snowy Shaw (King Diamond, Memento Mori, Notre Dame, etc.), Terrance Hobbs (Suffocation) and Ben Ash (Carcass, Satyricon - live) add a level of exclusivity to the album. A cold, dark ritual of death!
