A few questions - interview with death metal band from Spain - KRYPTICY.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.?

Hi! We are a Death Metal band from Spain. We started at 2013 but in a completely different formation. For now we are Alex Guerrero, guitar and vocals, Sergio Álvarez, guitar, David Fernandez, bass and Pancho Vázquez, drums.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

The recording was a very difficult process. Guitars and bass were made at home, the drums were recorded in two days at Green Cross Studio in a few hours, and vocals were recorded at Wave Nation Studios. Sound and production was paid and directed by Alex Guerrero and Mastering was realized in Wave Nation as well.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

500 copies with Hecatombe Records for the first roll but we want to extend another if the sales are good.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

All the lyrics were written by Alex Guerrero, he wrote the lyrics after the music to have a better idea of the song’s feeling. The lyrics deals the human monsters in several ways, inspirated by writers like George Orwell.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

All the art of the LP was made for Diego Artegrotesko. The logo were made by Paco Púa few years before. Social networks are directed for all of us. David, the bass player, took Facebook, Pancho, the drummer, Instagram and Alex, the guitarist and vocals, Bandcamp. We made all our advertisement, promotions, concert dates by social networks and we are really active in all of them.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

We are with Hecatombe Records and we are very grateful for all the work and help he has offer to us in aspects like distribution, production and divulgation.

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

We have different tastes between us but we complete each other. The bands in common have, for example, Morbid Angel, Asphyx, Dying Fetus, Necrophagist...

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

Not yet, we work for now with Hecatombe Records. However we have received some offers from other european and american labels

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

Around 30. We have play in clubs above all and in a couple of small festivals. We make our best and we don´t care if we have 150 or 3 people. As many bands before us we just want a good sound in stage (or at least acceptable) and that the public enjoyed it as much as we do.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

We just have release our first LP and we wanted to make some gigs but due to the actual global situation it’s not possible. Nevertheless we were composing some songs for the next album and we are in that point for now, meanwhile we can´t play concerts. We hope to return to normality as soon as possible and can essay between us in the same way we used to.
