Zvedá se vítr a ve vzduchu je cítit krev. Vichřice zesiluje a ty přidáváš volume na svém přehrávači. Kolem se lámou stromy, létají střechy, převracejí se auta. Mám rád muziku, surovou a plnou energie jako přírodní živly. Pomalu se setmí a najednou je ticho. Ticho před další bouří. Varování v televizi, na internetu i z tlampačů v našem městě. První oběti, mám pocit, že se z mraků vynořili jezdci apokalypsy. Tsunami venku na ulicích, tsunami z reproduktorů. Smrt si nevybírá a nakonec možná zemřeš v sutinách. Se sluchátky na uších, s novou deskou "A Plague Caused the Deaths".
Němečtí metalisté M.A.D. jsou konečně zpět. Datum vzniku v roce 1986, dlouhá historie, ale jenom dvě dema v devadesátých letech a jedno EP v roce 2016 po návratu. A teď první dlouhohrající album, které bourá zdi. Již od začátku je znát staroškolský nádech, poctivost, ryzost a totální oddanost temnotě.
"A Plague Caused the Deaths" je hodně živelným, devastujícím albem. Naleznete na něm spoustu odkazů na kapely z devadesátých let, ale také drtivých prvků (slyšeli jste někdy jak zní lámané kosti?). Základem je prašivý death metal, thrash a na nahrávce potkáte i několik black metalovějších motivů. Pokud bych měl tvorbu této kapely k někomu přirovnat, volil bych jména jako NECROPHAGIST, TERRORIZER, VADER, VOMITORY. Jedná se o třaskavou radioaktivní směs jak evropské, tak i americké školy. Navíc mám při poslechu opravdu pocit, že jsem se ocitl v lavině z kostí, kamení, krve a strachu. Organický, prašivý zvuk všemu dodává na uvěřitelnosti a celkový dojem doplňuje i morbidně vyvedený obal. M.A.D. si zachovali undergroundový zápach, což je dle mého skvělé. Kapela je v této sestavě opravdu silná, připadá mi, že mezi muzikanty funguje pověstná chemie. Můžeme si tak užít nekompromisní, vyhlazovací death/thrash metal, který vtrhne do vašich pokojů jako to nejzuřivější tsunami. Jsem moc rád, že staří psi ještě vydávají takovéto desky. Jsou totiž po okraj narvané dobrým řemeslem, mají feeling, tlak a rozsekají vás na malé kousky. Zvedá se vítr a ve vzduchu je cítit krev. Stále poslouchám "A Plague Caused the Deaths". Radioaktivní zabijácká záležitost!

German Metalists M.A.D. are finally back. The date of their creation is dated back to 1986, a long history, but only two demos in the nineties and one EP in 2016 after the return. And now they release the first full-length album which is breaking down the walls. Right from the start, you can feel the old school tinge, honesty, purity and total devotion to darkness.
"A Plague Caused the Deaths" is a very wild, devastating album. You'll find a lot of references to bands from the nineties, but also a lot of overwhelming elements (have you ever heard how broken bones sound?). The basic is still scabby death metal, thrash but on the record, you will meet several black metal motives. If I had to compare this band to someone, I would choose bands like NECROPHAGIST, TERRORIZER, VADER, VOMITORY. It is an explosive radioactive mixture of both European and American schools. Moreover, during the listening, I really feel like I would be part of the avalanche of bones, stones, blood and fear. The organic, scabby sound adds credibility to everything, and the overall impression is complemented by the morbid cover art. M.A.D. has kept its underground smell, which I think is great. The band is really strong in this line-up, it seems to me that there is legendary chemistry among the musicians. So we can enjoy an uncompromising, exterminatory death/thrash metal that invades your rooms like the fiercest tsunami. I am very happy that old dogs still release such records. They are full of good craftsmanship, they have a feeling, pressure and they will cut you into small pieces. The wind is getting stronger and there is blood in the air. I'm still listening to "A Plague Caused the Deaths". Radioactive killing material!
