Někdy mám pocit, že se už na metalových koncertech usmívám sám. Všichni kolem jsou hrozně vážní a já jediný stojím s lahví piva uprostřed davu. Mám v sobě pořád zakódováno, že metal je hlavně zábava a jiný už nebudu. Kolem utíká celý svět a i když se na mě podepisuje zub času, tak jsou v mém životě kapely, ke kterým se vracím pořád rád. S.D.I., co k nim vlastně dodat? Byli mými průvodci v časech, kdy jsem metal teprve objevoval, řval jsem jejich texty cestou z hospody, dalo by se také napsat, že jsem věrným fanouškem.
Přesto jsem příliš od jejich návratu nečekal. Jel jsem před lety na koncert do Prahy a vracel se totálně nadšený. Pořád to tam bylo, ten drive, nadsázka, vtip, energie, feeling, říkejte si tomu jak chcete, začal jsem se na nové album hrozně těšit. Abych to nezdržoval, klukům to sype pořád skvěle.
Vezměte starý thrash, speed metal, punk, přidejte hard heavy rock (třeba ACCEPT), Vše protřepat a prosím nemíchat. podávejte syrové a jasně, s velkou porcí nostalgie. Jenže když oni jsou S.D.I. pořád velmi zpěvní, melodičtí a z každého tónu je slyšet, že je předložený s nadšením a přímo od srdce. Já vím, dneska se hraje už úplně jinak, mladí kluci to umí s nástroji jako polobozi, ale už jsem si potřeboval konečně taky s někým zazpívat. Kde se ve starých psech bere pořád tolik nadšení? Možná (určitě) jsou na tom jako moje maličkost. Cítím vzájemnou chemii, chci zase stát pod pódiem, popíjet pivo a usmívat se. S.D.I. si dělají legraci ze všeho a ze všech, včetně sebe. Album je jak vystřižené z doby jejich největší slávy. Asi už nezbourá žebříčky v lesklých metalových časopisech, ale o to tady ani nejde. Kapela chtěla hlavně udělat radost svým fanouškům. Za sebe mohu podepsat vlastní krví, že se podařilo. Nebo vlastně žiletkou do ramene. S.D.I. byli vždycky tak trošku punkáči a jsou jimi dodnes. "80s Metal Band" má pořád grády jako dobrý alkohol! Dejte mi hergot někdo další pivo! Metal jako řemen!

Sometimes I feel like only one who is smiling at metal concerts. Everyone around is terribly serious, and I'm the only one standing with a bottle of beer in the middle of the crowd. I still encoded in myself that metal is mainly fun and I will not change it. The whole world is running around, and even when I am getting old, there are bands in my life that I keep coming back to them - S.D.I., what to tell more about them? They were my guides when I was just discovering metal, I was screaming their lyrics on the way to home from the pub, I could also write that I'm a loyal fan.
Nevertheless, I did not expect much from their return. Years ago I went to Prague for a concert and returned totally excited. It was still there - the drive, hyperbole, joke, energy, feeling, call it whatever you want, so I started looking forward to the new album. Well the guys still do great job.
Take old thrash, speed metal, punk, add hard heavy rock (like ACCEPT), shake everything and please don't mix. Serve raw and for sure with a large portion of nostalgia. But they are still very melodic and from every tone you can hear that it is presented with enthusiasm and directly from the heart. I know, today it is played quite differently, young boys can do it with instruments like the demigods, but I needed to sing with somebody. Where they still take so much enthusiasm? Maybe (certainly) they're like me. I feel the chemistry between us, I want to stand under the stage again, drink beer and smile. S.D.I. make fun of everything and everyone, including themselves. The album is like cut out of from time of their greatest glory. It probably doesn't break down the charts in shiny metal magazines, but that's not the point. The band wanted to make their fans happy. For myself I can sign with my own blood that it succeeded. Or by a razor blade in the shoulder. S.D.I. they have always been a bit of a punk and are still even today. "80s Metal Band" are still good like good alcohol! Somebody give me another beer! Metal as fuck!
