Občas toužím po tom, být zavřen do mrtvé komory. Do místnosti, jejíž stěny pohlcují všechny zvuky a ani je neodrážejí. Nehodím se do současného uřvaného světa a tak alespoň díky hudbě rád cestuji po časové ose zpět do dob, kdy každý metalista nosil džínovou bundu s nášivkami a hudba byla hlavně zábavou a odpočinkem. Toužím vypadnout z města ven, zavřít se do srubu v lesích a na starém kazeťáku vzpomínat a poslouchat opravdovou ryzí muziku.

Když mi přišla na recenzi nová deska "Gastwerso" od norských SARKE, těšil jsem se jako kněz na jeptišku. Mám rád jejich upřímný a opravdový thrash/black metal. Kapela totiž dokáže s elegancí starých mistrů pokaždé předložit pestrou paletu chladně znějících melodií, které vás přenesou do starých dobrých časů. Navíc, jejich nahrávky se velmi dobře poslouchají. Obzvlášť, když jsem zavřen v mrtvé komoře a v absolutní tmě zazní další skladba. Nebudu vás napínat, novinka je opět vynikající. Atmosféričtější, vznešenější, přesto stále ledová jako ruce mrtvoly.

Poslouchat "Gastwerso" je jako si číst staré temné příběhy. Svíčka pomalu dohořívá, venku je zima a fouká vítr. Pustina v lese, pustina v lidské duši. Má mysl je najednou zahalena tmou a nemůžu si pomoc a poslouchám desku stále dokola. Vzory netřeba zmiňovat, to asi každý poznáte, mě ale nejvíc fascinuje přístup a temná energie, která z nahrávky doslova odkapává. Mrtvé zvíře u cesty, stromy se sklání k zemi. Podzim a smrt, v klidných pasážích jsou SARKE letos neskutečně silní a přesvědčiví. Jakoby mi někdo otevřel hlavu nožem a trychtýřem do ní naléval studenou zkaženou krev. Rád se toulám sám jen s muzikou. Se SARKE jsem navštívil staré pohřebiště, opuštěné hřbitovy, řeku plnou mrtvých těl a všude znělo album "Gastwerso" skvěle. Jak vlastně vypadá Smrt? A jak ďábel? Kdo zatluče hřeby do mé rakve? Obrazů, které vidím při společných setkáních je mnoho a jsou pro mě znamením, že se deska opravdu povedla. Vzbuzuje u mě spoustu chladně temných představ. Vynikající severská black thrash metalová symfonie s okultním nádechem tajemna! Doporučil bych ji i samotnému ďáblu!

Sometimes I desire to be locked in a dead chamber. Into a room whose walls absorb all the sounds and don't even reflect them. I do not match with this current bitter world and thanks to the music I like to travel on the timeline back to the time when every metalist wore a denim jacket with patches and the music was mainly fun and relax for them. I desire to get out of the city, lock myself up into cabin in the woods, and listen to the true honest music on an old tape recorder.

When I received a new album "Gastwerso" from Norwegian SARKE for the review, I looked forward to as a priest to the nun. I love their honest and real thrash / black metal. With the elegance of the old masters, the band can always present a diverse palette of cool-sounding tunes that will take you to the good old times. Moreover, their records are very good for listening. Especially, when I'm locked in a dead chamber and another song is played in absolute darkness. I will not strain you, the new album is again excellent. More atmospheric, noble, yet still icy as the hands of a corpse.

Listening to "Gastwerso" is like reading old dark stories. The candle burns slowly, it is cold outside and the wind blows. The wasteland in the forest, the wasteland in the human soul. My mind is suddenly shrouded in darkness and I can't help myself, I am only listening to the record over and over again. The influences are not necessary to be mentioned, you probably know about them. However, the most fascinating for me is the attitude and dark energy that literally drips off from the record. Dead animal by the road, trees bending down to the ground. Autumn and death, in quiet passages, SARKE is incredibly strong and convincing this year. It was as if someone had opened my head with a knife and poured cold, spoiled blood there. I like to wander alone only with music. With SARKE I visited the old burial ground, abandoned cemeteries, the river full of dead bodies, and everywhere the album "Gastwerso" sounded great. What does Death look like? And how the devil? Who knocks the nails into my coffin? The pictures I see during our meetings are many and are a sign to me that the album is really great. It evokes a lot of coldly dark ideas. An excellent Nordic black thrash metal symphony with an occult touch of mystery! I would recommend it to the devil himself!
