Snad od začátku věků se snažíme popsat Smrt. Jak vypadá, jakou řečí mluví, kde se ukrývá? Hledáme odpovědi a mezitím umíráme po stovkách. Tentokrát jsem se ocitl velmi blízko. Tady, hluboko pod zemí, jsem nalezl pavučinami zahalenou rakev s nápisem ENTRAPMENT. Pomalu otevírám víko, nasávám hnilobnou atmosféru. Ano, říkám s jistotou v hlase, takhle nějak by opravdu mohla vypadat smrt.
Na starém, plesnivém dřevě leží hromada kostí. Rozšklebená smějící se lebka, ruce sepnuté v pradávné modlitbě. V prstech svírá novinku "Imminent Violent Death". Natáhnu se pro CD a umrlec se rozpadá v jemný prach. Smrt je opravdu tak blízko!

Když si přehrávám "Imminent Violent Death" ve svém přehrávači, tak mám pocit, že znovu tančím na hrobech všech death a thrash metalových předků. Ostré riffy, chorobný hlas, vše je zahrané s neutuchajícím nadšením pro exhumaci těl. Stylově lze tvorbu Michela Jonkera přirovnat k těm nejlepším albům MASTER, POSSESSED, MALEVOLENT CREATION, DECEASED, NIHILIST, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, THANATOS. Jakoby ETRAPMENT zamíchali do obrovské nádoby všechny staré poctivé rezavé ingredience, přidali temnotu, špínu a hnis a podávali podchlazené. Přiznávám na rovinu, že pro mě osobně se jedná o jeden z nejlepších old school death thrash metalových počinů současnosti. Dar zlámat všechny kosti hudbou má málokdo a ENTRAPMENT útočí napřímo a bez vytáček. Smrt může mít mnoho podob, často bývá nevyzpytatelná, ale z "Imminent Violent Death" doslova odkapává jako zkažená krev. Dávno prokleté pohřebiště vydalo další svědectví! Vynikající album, připomínající starou rakev až po okraj narvanou prašivinou, hnilobou a chladem! Morbidní pozdrav ze záhrobí!

When I listen to the record "Imminent Violent Death" on my player, I feel like I'm dancing on the graves of all death and thrash metal ancestors again. Sharp riffs, a sick voice, everything is played with a constant enthusiasm for the exhumation of bodies. Concerning the style, the work of Michel Jonker can be compared to the best albums of MASTER, POSSESSED, MALEVOLENT CREATION, DECEASED, NIHILIST, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, THANATOS. As if ENTRAPMENT mixed all the old, rusty ingredients into the enormous container, added darkness, dirt, and pus, and served supercooled. I must confess that for me, this is one of the best old school death thrash metal records of the present. To have a gift to break all the bones by the music has only the chosen and ENTRAPMENT attacks straight and without warning. Death can possess many forms, often unpredictable, but from the album "Imminent Violent Death" literally drips like "bad blood". The long time ago cursed burial ground has given further testimony! An excellent album, reminiscent of an old coffin full of dirt, putridity, and cold! Morbid greeting from the grave!
