Když půjdete se mnou, ukážu vám jednu zajímavost. U nás dole v továrně, pokud sestoupíme do podzemí, tak je vzadu v rohu ukrytý jeden starý stroj. Mnozí na něj zapomněli, ne tak ale my, kteří máme rádi poctivý klasický thrash metal. Pod plachtou s nápisem OVERKILL již mnoho let žije svým vlastním životem jedna skvělá legenda.
Od založení skupiny uplynulo dlouhých 39 let. Je až neuvěřitelné, jak si po celou dobu své existence drží tahle smečka laťku kvality vysoko. Jejich recept je zdánlivě jednoduchý - ostré melodie, tlak, jiskry létající všude kolem. A samozřejmě nezaměnitelný hlas Bobbyho Blitze. Jenže ono to není tak jednoduché, tohle jsou ingredience, které dokáže namíchat spousta kapel. OVERKILL ale přinášejí ještě něco navíc - neskutečnou energii a schopnost zaujmout.
Už jste někdy byli na broušení kostí? Ani nemusíte, stačí si několikrát pustit pořádně nahlas novinku "The Wings of War" a pocity budete zažívat úplně stejné. OVERKILL jsou opět jako perfektně seřízený stroj. Se spoustou nápadů, s melodiemi, které se ihned zadřou pod kůži a zůstanou tam navěky. Zvuk opět zabíjí, jedovatě zelený obal je jasným poznávacím znamením skupiny. Řekněte, co si víc vlastně může fanoušek thrash metalu přát? Navíc, pánové mají za ty roky jasně rozpoznatelný rukopis, originální a nezaměnitelný výraz. Nečekejte žádné album z povinnosti, ale vynikající vysokooktanovou jízdu. Novou desku bych asi opravdu nejlépe přirovnal k spalovacímu motoru s velkým objemem, který je stále na vrcholu své existence. Ten pocit, když sešlápnete plyn až k podlaze a ucítíte pod sebou sílu, vás donutí přidat volume. Přiznávám bez mučení, "The Wings of War" mě rozsekalo na malé kousky! Vynikající thrash metal od legendárních maniaků, který vám nakope zadky! Skvěle!

Do you have experience with grinding bones? You do not have to, just play few times really loud new album „The Wings of War“ and feeling will be the same. OVERKILL is again a perfectly tuned machine. With a lot of ideas, with melodies that will immediately sneak under the skin and stay forever there. The sound kills again, the poisonous green cover is a clearly significant for the band. Tell me what's more thrash metal fans want? In addition, the gentlemen have a clearly recognizable songwriting, original and unmistakable expression. Do not expect an album from duty, but an excellent high-speed ride. I think the new record would probably best compare to a motor with a large volume that is still at the top of the existence. That feeling, when you push the gas down to the floor and feel strength under it, will force you to add volume. I admit, without t orture, "The Wings of War" cut me into small pieces! Outstanding thrash metal from the legendary maniacs that will bite your ass! Great!
