Je doufám všem jasné, že pokud budete tahat mrtvá těla po zemi, tak po vás zůstanou krvavé stopy. Sérioví vrazi i řezníci na jatkách by mohli vyprávět. Zabíjet živá těla je svým způsobem umění, stejně jako zabíjet hudbou. Ne každý to umí a ne každý dokáže ostatní přesvědčit o tom, že právě ten jeho způsob je ten správný.
Maniaci FLESHLESS za sebou táhnou imaginární káru mrtvých těl již dlouhá léta. Jsou zkušenými veterány, na které je spolehnutí. Nelze u nich očekávat sice nic nového, ale nebudeme si nic nalhávat, i lehký posun v rámci death metalových zákonů se počítá. Letos se tihle šílenci vydali vstříc větší temnotě. Nutno rovnou napsat, že se jedná o povedený počin. Už jen samotný obal napovídá mnohé. Představte si chladné ráno na pitevně. Myslím, že tahle věta vystihuje celou desku asi nejlépe.
Stejně tak, jako se do zdí jatek otiskne nářek zabíjených, tak stejným způsobem znějí i jednotlivé skladby. Drtivé nářezy, melodické linky a pro mě velmi zvláštní temně zákeřná atmosféra. Zajímavé je, že FLESHLESS k vytvoření morbidních nálad používají zcela běžné a mnohokrát slyšené postupy. Jenže jsou sestaveny tak, že album doopravdy řeže. Zaujala mě ještě jedna věc, kterou jsem kapele dříve "vytýkal", ubylo "big beatových pasáží". Máme tak najednou před sebou album, které připomíná velmi dobře seřízený stroj na zabíjení. Jakoby byli FLESHLESS politi mrtvou vodou. Hodně k tomu přispívá řekl bych až antihumánní zvuk, vše sedí perfektně na svém místě, kytary ostře sekají, bicí bolí a přiznám se, že některé polohy hlasu bych od zpěváka opravdu nečekal. Jako celek je pro mě potom novinka "Doomed" velmi milým překvapením. Připomíná rozhovor s vrahem před popravou. Myslím si, že ze sebe letos tahle smečka dostala maximum. Nebourají stylové hranice, ani nikam extrémní metal neposouvají, ale jsou velmi dobrými řemeslníky, kteří odvedli skvělou krvavou práci. Temnotu a vlastní noční můry si s sebou neseme celý život. FLESHLESS se povedlo je zhmotnit a vypálit do našich mozků. Poctivý masakr!
I hope it is clear for everyone that if you carry the dead bodies on the ground, then you will leave the bloody traces behind you. The serial killers and the butchers at the slaughterhouse could tell you a lot about it. The killing of live bodies is like art in some manner, as well as killing by the music. Not everyone can do it, and not everyone can convince others that exactly his approach is the right one.
Maniacs FLESHLESS have been dragging an imaginary cart full of the dead bodies for years. They are experienced veterans on whose we can rely. We cannot expect anything else from them, but we haven’t to lie to ourselves, even a slight shift within the death metal laws counts. This year, these madmen have headed for the bigger darkness. Let's say it straight; this album is excellent stuff. Only the album cover itself suggests a lot. Imagine a cold morning in the autopsy room. I think this sentence describes the whole record probably the best.
Just as the lamentation of the killed is printed into the walls of the slaughterhouse, the songs at the album sound by the same manner. Overwhelming cuts, melodic parts, and for me a very strange dark and insidious atmosphere. Interestingly, FLESHLESS uses the most common and very often heard methods to create a morbid atmosphere. But they are compiled in such a way that the album really cuts. I was also impressed by one more thing that I have criticized before, the volume of "big beat passages" decreased. We have in front of us an album that reminds a very well-tuned killing machine. As if the FLESHLESS were poured by dead water. I would say the anti-human sound contributes to it, everything is placed perfectly in the right place, the guitars sharply cut, the drums hurt, and I admit that some of the voice positions I really did not expect from the singer. As a whole, the new album "Doomed" is a very nice surprise for me. It reminds the interview with the murderer before execution. I think this band has done the maximum this year. They do not crush the genre boundaries or move the extreme metal anywhere, but they are very good craftsmen who have done great bloody work. We are carrying the darkness and our own nightmares our whole life with us. FLESHLESS has managed to materialize and burn this darkness into our brains. Honest massacre!
