Vypravěč morbidních příběhů stojí před krvelačným davem. Lidé si žádají co nejkrutější zážitky. Zasní se, pustí z tlampačů novou desku "The Lupine Anathema" maniaků THE GROTESQUERY a náměstí ztichne v úžasu. Najednou je všude krev, zasněžená těla ztuhlých mrtvol. Smrt, Roggovy klasické riffy a vokál Mr. Leeho. Výsledkem je tradiční death metalový příběh plný špíny, hnisu a rozkládajících se tkání.
THE GROTESQUERY hrají ve stejných rytmech jako REVOLTING, PAGANIZER a další Roggovy kapely a projekty. Mnohým se budou zdát velmi podobné a bude to samozřejmě pravda. Album se tak stává spíše záležitostí pro fanoušky, kteří mají rádi smrt v tomto provedení. Ostatní zůstanou pravděpodobně netknuti.
Celkově má "The Lupine Anathema" temnou a chladnou atmosféru. Připomíná starý opuštěný dům, ve kterém se kdysi stala několikanásobná vražda. Z místa i hudby je cítit děs, smutná nálada a chlad, který se vám doslova zadře pod kůži. Ne, novinka není albem nijak výjimečným. Spíš připomíná seanci několika přátel, kteří se sešli, aby zhudebnili pár příběhů plných morbidních zážitků. Osobně se rád nechávám podobnými nahrávkami unášet, i když vím, že se nejedná o nic převratného. Nevadí mi to, důležitý je pro mě pach strachu a smrti, které ze skladeb cítím. Pokud to máte stejně, tak neváhejte, deska má v sobě jakousi temnou sílu, která je tolik přitažlivá. Solidní zabijácká práce!

The narrator of morbid stories stands in front of the bloodthirsty crowd. People are asking for the most brutal experiences. He thinks and sets off the loudspeakers the new album “The Lupine Anathema” by maniacs THE GROTESQUERY and the square is silent in astonishment. Suddenly, there is blood everywhere, dead bodies covered in snow. Death, Rogg´s classic riffs and Mr. Lee´s vocal. The result is a traditional death metal story full of dirt, pus and decaying tissues.
THE GROTESQUERY play in the same rhythm as REVOLTING, PAGANIZER and other Rogg´s bands and projects. Many people will feel that the band is very similar to those mentioned and they will be right. The album is more a thing for fans who like this kind of death. Others will probably remain untouched.
Overall, “The Lupine Anathema” has dark and cold atmosphere. It reminds me of old abandoned house which experienced a horrible multiple murder. From both the place and the music you can feel the terror, sad atmosphere and coldness which literally goes right under your skin. No, the new album is not special. It is more like a séance of some friends who met to play some stories full of morbid experiences. Personally, I like similar albums, however, I also know that this is not anything unusual or extraordinary. But I do not care, the most important is the smell of fear and death which I can feel from the songs. If you like the same things, do not hesitate. The album has a great dark power which is very appealing. Solid killing work!
