A few questions - interview with CORPSEHAMMER.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.?

We started the band in 2016 and the band originates from Sweden and Chile.

We play death/black metal influenced by the early days of the scene and to keep it brutal and simple with short effective songs.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

We recorded the EP in our rehearsalroom , drums and guitar "live". We prefer to use this method to get that right feeling we're looking for.

The mixing and the mastering was made by Christian LArsson (who plays in Gloson). He also handled the bass on both our EP's. He did a really good job, both with the production and the bass.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

"Posesión" was released on MC. Morbid skull released 200 copies. 100 ocn black tape and 100 on ivory tape. And Bifrost will release a Scandinavian version limited to 100 tapes.

The plan with Corpsehammer in to just release our material on analog formats.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

Midnight Horror handles all the lyrics. They deal with darkes subjects. Visions of death and the occult.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

Nekromonger made the logo and handled the layout and Midnight Horror made the cover artwork.

We don't really like the social network thing, but nowdays there's really no alternative if you want to spread your music so we might as well use it. It has both it's advantages and disadvantages, though we miss the days before internet...

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

Morbid Skull Records and Bifrost each released a version the EP.

Our first EP Sacrilegio was initially intended to be relesed as a demo tape by ourselfs, but Bifrost Records (the owner is a friend of ours) heard one of the songs and wanted to release the tape, so we ask him if he wanted to release a version of the second EP as well.

Alvaro (from Undercroft) introduced us to Morbid Skull Records... we're really satisfied with their work. Both labels kept what they promised.

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

We don't really idolise any specific bands. We're inspired by old death metal and first wave black metal i general. The Australian and South american scenes are big inspirations as well.

We aim to recreate the feeling of the early days...the ancient spririt alive.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

We never send out any tapes actually....maybe we should have, But response from the metalscene and zines has been great though.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

Corpsehammer has never played live, but based on previous experiences we have to say that club gigs probably are more fun to play, but with festivals you get the chance to watch more great bands... and above all we're huge music fans.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

We're working on new material at the moment. Some of the songs will probably be released as and other EP, and some of the other material we have other plans for that will be revealed eventually.

We also have plans to play live in the future, so that may happen as well.

How and where can your fans contact you? Can you provide some contact information?

The best way in though our facebook site and/or our mail.

Thank you very much.
