Skalpel je čerstvě nabroušený, tak mi jde práce krásně od ruky. Mám neodbytný pocit, že toho člověka odněkud znám. Oddělím maso od kostí a celá pitva připomíná morbidní symfonii. Už vím, kde jsem jej viděl. Každé ráno v zrcadle, jsem to já. Řežu svoje vlastní tělo. Celé mi to připadá vtipné, líbí se mi nadsázka, ale hlavně hudba, které ke mě teče z reproduktorů jako čerstvá krev. AUTOPSY jsou zpět, v plné síle a s touhou vás rozřezat na malé kousky.
Zvukově je vše v absolutním pořádku. Líbí se mi taková ta syrovost, hororový nádech. Pokud jste někdy viděli nějaký film z osmdesátých let, ve kterém se ulicemi toulala bestie a slečny křičely bolestí a strachem, asi víte, o čem píšu. AUTOPSY jsou natolik originálníí kapela, že ji poznáte vždy podle několika prvních tónů. Letošní album je volným pokračováním krutého a špinavého seriálu z předchozích let.
Opět zde potkáte časté změny tempa. Rychlé smrtící pasáže, zahrané na hranici šílenství se střídají s těmi doomovými, strašidelnými. Na tohle mají pánové patent a nikdo jiný to neumí jako oni. K tomu si připočtěte typický a nezaměnitelný vokál mistra Chrise Reiferta a nelze jinak, než mít tuhle smečku rád. Provází mě celý můj metalový život a poslední roky mi připadají jako politi mrtvou vodou. Jasně, všichni tak nějak dopředu víme, co dostaneme, hodnotit lze tedy spíše to, zda mě jako fanouška novinka baví, či nikoliv. Baví, přátelé. Vždyť jsem na podobných riffech vyrůstal a vždy se těším na takovou tu chladnou a tajemnou náladu, která nahrávky téhle death metalové legendy provází. Letos jsem velmi spokojen. AUTOPSY jsou ve formě, kterou by jim mohla kdejaká mladá kapela závidět. Stále neztratili touhu pitvat, pořád mě dokáží donutit neposlouchat nic jiného. Venku zrovna prší a přivezli mi další tělo. Většinou vstávám brzy ráno, když je ještě klid. Nemrtví se mnou rozmlouvají a já se houpu do rytmu. Beru do rukou skalpel a řvu do tichých chodeb nemocnice jejich texty. Zavazuji černé pytle a věším štítky na palce. Všude kolem mě je chlad a smrt. Stejně jako na nové desce "Ashes, Organs, Blood and Crypts". Sonically, everything is absolutely fine. I like that kind of rawness, the horror touch. If you've ever seen a movie from the 80's where beasts roamed the streets and ladies screamed in pain and fear, you probably know what I'm writing about. AUTOPSY are such an original band that you can always recognize them by the first few notes. This year's album is a loose continuation of the cruel and dirty series from previous years.
Here again you will find frequent changes of pace. Fast, deadly passages, played on the border of madness, alternate with doom, scary ones. This is the masters' patent and nobody else can do it like them. Add to that the typical and unmistakable vocals of master Chris Reifert and you can't help but love this pack. They have been with me my entire metal life and the last few years have felt like dead water. Of course, we all kind of know in advance what we're going to get, so it's more a matter of whether or not I, as a fan, enjoy the novelty. I do, folks. After all, I grew up on similar riffs and I always look forward to that kind of cold and mysterious mood that accompanies the recordings of this death metal legend. This year I am very satisfied. AUTOPSY are in a form that any young band could envy. They still haven't lost the desire to dissect, they still manage to make me listen to nothing else. It's raining outside and they brought me another body. I usually get up early in the morning when it's still quiet. The undead talk to me and I sway to the beat. I pick up my scalpel and scream their lyrics into the silent corridors of the hospital. I tie black bags and hang tags on my thumbs. There is coldness and death all around me. Just like on the new album "Ashes, Organs, Blood and Crypts". This is an album that was once again recorded from the heart and is a must for any fan of the band. Autopsy report, October 27, 2023. Ave DECAPITATED CHRIST! Greetings to the Spannish underground. I hope everything is fine with you. It should be because this year you have released a fifth long-play full-length album in your band's career. I have to admit it has literally blown my mind. It is dark, energic and as if it cuts by the sharp edge of the knife. I can hear from the record you did a really good job and you added a big portion of the talent, too. How do you perceive the new album in comparison to the previous recordings? Where did you want to move and in what are these two records different?
Ghorth: Ave, Jakub... thanks so much for having us in this interview and horns up, glad our new opus made your ears supurate with blood, pus and dirt!
Well, it’s Metal’s biggest cliché, as always... the last records is always the best because the long years we have been standing in the Metal world have contributed to lead us to this fifth opus. It’s a compendium of all of the experiences we have lived in the history of our band so, it’s a true document on what has going on and where we are now.
We did not want to move anywhere, really... just create a bunch of new anthems representing the band and the current situation where we are... times are more aggressive than ever now... you know, the pandemic, war in Ucraine, all the political correctness shit going on now... you cannot even express your own oppinion right now because otherwise you are being neglected, judged and ignored by the new Weak Snowflake World Order. Honestly, I don’t give a fucking smelly stinky shit if we offend anybody because of their religious, economic, political, sexual or whatever beliefs... as my old friend Bastard of Graveyard always says: „when did metal stop being dangerous“? Fuck this and fuck everything, you all little whiny cocksuckers... instead of listening to metal, you better go to your mommy and ask her to prepare some chocolate and cookies before dressing up in your lousy Winnie The Pooh Pijamas and heading to your little twinkle star cradles in the safety of your daddy’s house!!!! Cold: Hey Jakub, first of all thanx for the interview. I think this is by far our best recording, even though I still like a lot our previous ones but there's a huge step forward here. Somehow it may be because the album came after a long hiatus and it spawned a bit spontaneously, we didn't record anything stressed or felt a big urge of composing upon a deadline. It just happened when the time was right and sounds a bit angrier and more aggressive to me. Not that we lacked aggression or anger on the other records, but when I listen to „Glorious...“, you can notice a big "middle finger" to nowadays tamed extreme metal scene.
„Glorious Tyrannizing of Human Rats“ includes all attributes of good death. For me personally, it represents the record, which I really like to listen to. How did you produce it? How look the writing process of new material in the case of DECAPITATED CHRIST?
Ghorth: Well, the writing happened actually during the whole Covid-19 pandemic. We got fed up of all that hypocrisy and political correctness going on. So, we started demoing tracks and recording them with Bastard at his own place (Moontower2) and we had the feeling that we still had something to say in today’s putrid world.
Honestly, first thing we thought about was if Decapitated Christ was still relevant in a world where Metal has gone down the drain, with sweetened messages and litlle mellow funny tunes to amuse the general flock. And we decided that maybe yes, we still had something to say here.
Cold:It was during the pandemic lockdown that Ghorth started sending me some ideas and demos. We were bored as fuck and rehearsed at our places. Funny enought we never rehearsed together, got to Moontower when the restrictions lessed a bit and surprinsgly enough we recorded it quite fast. Didn't take much time compared to other records. We went straight to the point!
Also it was great recording with Markus (NalghaLord) for the first time, he joined the band 9 years ago as a live vocalist and finally we have a record with his hellish vocals.
I found out that Javi Bastard is the recording engineer and Dan Swanö is the mastering engineer. I have to confirm that the sound literally kills. It keeps making me turn up the volume on the hi-fi tower. Both gentlemen have given you a sound that is harsh, raw and at the same time dark and animalistic. How did you find working with them and why them? What studio did you record in and how did everything go?
Javi Bastard is one of our oldest friends in this scene. We know each other since our first album we recorded with him at his Moontower Studios back in 2005. We played with Graveyard a couple of killer gigs and also did an awesome tour some years ago so, the choice was more than obvious. He is a hell of a producer and sound engineer besides of a good friend. We all got fatter in these years, lost our hair, got divorced, we eat like pigs, drink, smoke, burp, fart and listen to 80’s heavy metal as well as pretty much all kinds of music... excepting that mysoginist elephant’s crap like „trap“ or „reaggeton“ and all that donkey bray vomited by retarded uneducated gang wannabees who cannot even talk like proper human beings, but burping out senseless words without even knowing how to speak them out. Fucking bunch of pink grandma underwear wearing mentally retarded idiots. So again: choice was more than obvious.
Everything was done at his Moontower Studios and you can feel that all the hate and aggression is still there. Even more so, it has grown by 2000% !!!!!
An integral part and a kind of extra bonus for fans today is the CD. You have released it on F.D.A. Records and it comes with a deadpan cover. It was written by César Valladares Fernández How did you choose the theme and how does it relate to the music on the release?
Ghorth: Cesar is our bassplayer and he is probably the most retarded and sick individual of all of us... this guy is fucking insane... he likes to masturbate and sticking a Staedler pen up his ass while sitting in a boat and fishing in some lost lakes filled with nuclear waste and retarded human scum around the country. That’s where he probably ends up having this sick ideas for covers!!!
Cold: Huh, yeah pretty much that's it, haha. I quit illustrating for bands some time ago, my daily life is way too busy right now, but would feel weird to ask someone else to do the cover artwork. I wanted something different than my usual black and white designs. Back in the day when I designed the first album cover I had no idea of painting, the result (to me) was an amateurish piece of crap. I redesigned the band logo, to match the music, and tought about a full color design that rendered our main themes: Satanic stuff, war, anger towards what mankind have turned into. I think it fits quite well to our music and what the band represents nowadays.
I have been wandering the underground for over thirty years and I still go to Spain for music with certainty. I think we have a similar nature and taste when it comes to metal. I like your bands a lot and I monitor your scene carefully. Maybe I envy you a little, because we only have a few death metal bands that are worth it. How do you explain that death metal are doing so well in your country? How do you perceive your scene, fans, labels?
Ghorth: Probably is has to do because the regular spaniard is a guy filled with hatred and envy. The spaniard hates more than he loves, that’s for sure... and this ill state of mind reflects on the music, of course. And it’s good!!!
Lots of good bands are still very active and pumping pestilence and pus upon mankind: Körgull the Exterminator, Graveyard, Ered, Barbarian Swords, Redimoni, Balmog, Omission, Devotion and the likes. And it better be that way, pal.
So, I guess our country is still healthy musical wise as long as there still are bunches of hateful individuals out there. Plus, we always have been proud and violent and we don’t like ourselves being taught by anybody.
Cold: Even though I'm not a much involved into the scene as I was til some years ago, I think there are really interesting bands that popped out during the last years.
In the last six years death metal gigs are held almost weekly for local underground bands, on the big frame, the big thing is mainstream big cash „black metal“. 90% of the people are not into the underground, and are more interested in posing and looking cool on Instagram.
I don't listen much to new stuff but I would like to recommend the readers some of the most exciting bands from Spain right now: Trollcave, Cruz, Necroracle, Horripilant, Avern, Leprophiliac, Sanctuarium, Jade, Apparition and Orthodoxy.
You play death metal influenced by, among other things, the old school. Today, the band can't avoid comparisons, but I would like to know how the idea to start DECAPITATED CHRIST was born, who was and is your metal idol? Where do you want to move your band? Are you attracted to large foreign festivals, for example, are you willing to go on tour with a more famous band?
Ghorth: Well, we started back in 2005... the scene was boiling at that time. Over the years, lots of bands have softened their sound but still there’s all the old farts throwing fists in the air and raising hell down here like the bands mentioned in my previous answer.
Idols? Come on!!! There’s hundreds to choose: King Diamond, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Saxon, Agent Steel, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Camilo Sesto, Rick Astley, Nino Bravo, David Hasselhoff, Rush, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Police, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Mercyful Fate, Diamond Head, Tygers of Pan Tang, Mekong Delta, Europe, Fates Warning, Queensrÿche, Omen, Frank Sinatra, Hans Zimmer, Helloween, Accept, Iced Earth, Iron Angel, Manowar, Megadeth, Michael Schenker, Scorpions, Ozzy Osbourne, Pretty Maids, Queen, Psychotic Waltz, Riot, Modern Talking, Samantha Fox... too many to mention, pal!!!
Festivals, tours, etc... honestly, no idea... if we get invited to some cool gigs, festivals or whatever, of course we will consider and it would be very cool. But honestly, I’m not loosing my sleep here. If people like it as much as to come and see us live, the better, of course. If not, it does not worry me more than the colour of the shit of my dogs. Honestly speaking now: we all have our lives, our daily jobs, our families and we are all in our late 40’s... we’d love to play live, obviously, but if it does not happen for some reason, it’s perfectly fine. The scene has evolved a lot in the past 3 years: and it has evolved to much worse than it was 10 years ago so...
Cold : Haha, OK, I'm not into Camilo Sesto or cheesy stuff like Ghorth does, sorry. I will avoid naming hundreds of bands, the older I become the more I get back to the classics, but if I would need to mention just 5 bands they would be Motörhead, Mercyful Fate, Carnivore, Autopsy and Bathory I guess.
I have no urge for playing live, we decided not to play in Barcelona pubs for 20 people as we did before, nor tours as they take too much of our free time and we are too busy in our jobs for that. Festivals would be cool, and of course wild gigs like the one we played at Praguein 2015!!!
When I started my blog six years ago, I had a vision that I would try to support bands that are not so much popular, or they are lost in underground. To let the world knows about them. I think I'm doing quite well, at least according to the responses. How do you approach the promotion of your music? Do you rely upon the label or do you send the CDs for various reviews by yourself? For example, I buy albums that I really enjoy. What about you? Are you also fans who often support your colleagues? Do you go to concerts?
Ghorth: We’re all followers of your blog and enjoy reading your reviews, watch your pictures when going to gigs and to see that you still feel that passion that goes beyond the poser attitude lots of wannabees sport today.
Definitely yes!!! We still love attending gigs and we all still buy our music, tshirt, fanzines, etc... We all still dress like in our early 20’s and we still love it. We love to discover new worthy bands, we still like to listen to new albums and support all of our friends... we’re still in touch with a lot of people in the metal world... this is what drives us, right?
Cold:
FDA and Defying Danger take care of everything promotion-wise, they are super professional and that's great cause we are lazy as fuck. We don't even spend any time on our social media profiles, haha, of course we keep in touch with long-time friends of zines and blogs.
About gigs, as I said, I was a bit outta the local scene for a while, lot of stupidity incoming some years ago, metal „tourists“, young „Metal Archives students“ who had no idea bout anything and now they think they are gurus of this or that genre. The percentage of morons on the scene was increasing to the point I needed a time to „detox“ from all that.
On the other hand, I have a lot of responsabilities now and I can't help attending a live show without drinking like a beast, hangovers hit hard on me nowadays haha
I'm currently attending more and more gigs, underground ones, I'm not interested on any big names, even though I keep listening to old bands, when they play on huge crowded venues I skip those gigs.
On the one hand, today the new band has a lot of opportunities to make themselves more known, but on the other hand, there are a huge number of groups and the fans are getting lost in this big metal sea. A lot of people just download mp3s from the internet and instead of to visit the concert they prefer to spit poisonous saliva on Facebook. How do modern technologies affect you as DECAPITATED CHRIST? What do you think about downloading music, google metalists, streaming music, etc.?
Ghorth: Yeah, you’re right on this and I do totally agree. In fact, there are even some idiots out there who write directly to the bands telling them that they just uploaded their latest album for free and they even send the link to the download to the bands. I mean, can you imagine: how fucking retarded of a piece of human shit can you be to act like this? It’s pretty obvious that almost none of us do this to make a living out of death/black metal and that every small help from the supporters/zines/promoters/labels is something huge for every underground band. Why the fukken Christ do you call yourself a supported and then fuck bands doing this?
But on the other hand, again... none of us wants to make a living out of this and probably a couple of hundred downloads won’t affect the economic outcome of this in any way. People who like the music and like bands will probably continue buying albums and spend a decent amount of their money in improving their music collection, right? At least that’s what most of us do, if you are really into the music and really supporting the scene.
Cold: I mentioned that on my last answer, most part of the so-called scene sucks big time right now. Posers and internet warriors everywhere. Goddammit, I even know people who buy records just to post a picture on Instagram or whatever social media platform and never listen to it, just to look cool. The „metal poser race“ is absolute nuts, they spend lots of money on bootleg Tshirts and Discogs to look „true“ but barely support bands. All this makes me puke, man.
I don't think that would affect us, anyway, we don't have a huge fan base, most of our listeners are old farts that probably don't know what Bandcamp is haha
I like to ask the musicians what death metal means to them. How would they define it, whether it is more the philosophy and lifestyle thing for them or "just" relaxation? What does it mean for you? How do you perceive and experience it?
Ghorth: Well, after 35 years listening to music, collecting cd’s, lp’s, ep’s, t-shirts, magazines, etc.. We cannot think in other terms than metal in general. I wouldn’t go that far as separating it into subgenres, because all of us listen do heavy metal, speed, thrash, death, black, etc... right?
Personally, I still am a hard rock and heavy metal freak, and love almost all of the subgenres, but it’s true that certain approaches in life are somehow influenced by the music and lifestyle we have been enjoying for such a long time. In these past 35 years a lot of things have happened, but metal has always been there, no matter what. And our love of playing death metal is still intact after all these years. To us, it’s the most aggressive, brutal, dark and Infernal music there is, and it’s the perfect vehicle to spread our message, our beliefs and our vision.
Cold: For me death, doom and black metal have been an cornerstone in my life since my teens, I have many interests but I wouldn't be able to live without extreme metal and the underground feeling.
I can't think of any other music that means that much to me or makes me pump. I do listen to other genres but as much as I strive to like them the way I like metal, thy just don't click on me the same way.
Of course I'm not one of these guys who go to work like it's Halloween every day and raise horns when they salute the neighbours at the supermarket, I like to keep my „metal dedication“ to myself. Wherever my life leads I'm sure I will keep digging into the underground, may it be buying and listening to music, reading zines or playing metal myself til the end of my days.
Finally, a classic but important question. What is DECAPITATED CHRIST planning in the upcoming months? Where can we see you at the stage?
Ghorth: This will of course depend on the acceptance of this new album and on the promoters. The album was just released a week ago and it’s still a bit soon to talk about gigs or even tours. We’re of course open to play as it is what comes after each new release so, we’ll have our ears open and see if we can do some cool shows soon. Stay tuned!
Cold: Hopefully some gigs or fests out of Spain! I would love to play in Germany, France, Italy or Czech Republic again.

Ave DECAPITATED CHRIST! Zdravím do španělského undergroundu. Doufám, že je u vás vše v pořádku. Mělo by, máte na kontě letos páté dlouhohrající skvělé album své kariéry. Musím se přiznat, že mě doslova přikovalo na zeď. Je temné, energické, řeže ostrou hranou nože. Je hodně slyšet, že jste odvedli skvělou práci a taky velká porce talentu. Jak vnímáš novou desku v souvislosti s předchozími nahrávkami? Kam jak jste se chtěli posunout a v čem jsou podle tebe nahrávky odlišné?
GHORTH: Ave, Jakub... ďakujeme za rozhovor a sme radi, že ti náš nový opus rozprúdil krv, hnis a špinu v ušiach!
Toto je asi to najväčšie metalové klišé, ako vždy... avšak posledné nahrávky sú vždy tie najlepšie. Tie dlhé roky, ktoré sme strávili v metalovom svete prispeli k tomu, že sme sa dopracovali k tomuto piatemu opusu. Je to súhrn všetkých skúseností, ktoré sme v histórii našej kapely získali, súhrn všetkého, čo sme prežili, takže, je to skutočný dokument o tom ako sa veci majú a kde sme teraz.
Nechceli sme sa nikam posúvať, naozaj... len vytvoriť kopu nových hymien reprezentujúcich kapelu a súčasnú situáciu, v ktorej sa nachádzame... doba je teraz agresívnejšia ako kedykoľvek predtým... veď vieš, pandémia, vojna na Ukrajine, všetky tie politicky korektné sračky, ktoré sa teraz dejú... nemôžete teraz ani vyjadriť vlastný názor, pretože inak vás nový svetový poriadok „slabých snehových vločiek“ prehliada, odsudzuje a ignoruje (z angl. „Snowflake generation“ označuje ľahko uraziteľné osoby, ktoré sa domnievajú, že majú nárok na osobitné zaobchádzanie na základe svojich údajne jedinečných vlastností. Príslušníci takzvanej "generácie snehových vločiek" sú typizovaní ako emocionálne slabí a málo odolní, pozn. aut.). Úprimne, je mi úplne jedno, či niekoho urážame kvôli jeho náboženskému, ekonomickému, politickému, sexuálnemu alebo akémukoľvek inému presvedčeniu... ako vždy hovorieva môj starý priateľ Bastard z kapely GRAVEYARD: "kedy metal prestal byť nebezpečný"? Kašlite na to a kašlite na všetko, vy všetci ste malí ufňukanci... namiesto počúvania metalu radšej choďte za svojou mamičkou a poproste ju, aby vám pripravila kakavko a sušienky, než sa oblečiete do svojich všivavých pyžamiek s Medvedíkom Pú a vydáte sa do svojich malých blikajúcich hviezdičiek v bezpečí otcovho domu!!!!. Nechcem zraniť tvoje zasrané zhubné city!!!!
COLD: Ahoj Jakube, v prvom rade ďakujem za rozhovor. Myslím, že toto je naša najlepšia nahrávka, aj keď sa mi stále páči veľa našich predchádzajúcich, ale toto je obrovský krok vpred. Môže to byť spôsobené tým, že album vznikol po dlhšej prestávke a zrodil sa tak trochu spontánne, nenahrávali sme nič v strese ani sme nepociťovali veľké nutkanie zložiť nový album v určitom termíne. Jednoducho sa to stalo, keď bol ten správny čas a znie to trochu nahnevanejšie a agresívnejšie. Nie že by nám na ostatných nahrávkach chýbala agresivita alebo hnev, ale keď počúvam "Glorious...", predstavujem si veľký "vzpriamený prostredník" dnešnej skrotenej extrémnej metalovej scéne.
„Glorious Tyrannizing of Human Rats“ v sobě obsahuje všechny atributy dobrého death. Pro mě osobně se jedná o desku, ke které se hrozně rád vracím. Jakým způsobem vznikala? Jak skládají nový materiál DECAPITATED CHRIST?
GHORTH: No, písanie sa vlastne odohralo počas celej pandémie Covid-19. Mali sme už dosť všetkého toho pokrytectva a politickej korektnosti. Tak sme začali dávať dokopy demo skladby a nahrávať ich s Bastardom u neho doma (Moontower2). Naozaj sme mali pocit, že v dnešnom hnilobnom svete máme stále čo povedať.
Úprimne povedané, prvá vec, nad ktorou sme sa zamysleli, bola, či je DECAPITATED CHRIST stále relevantný vo svete, v ktorom sa metal dostal do úzadia, s presladenými posolstvami a nežne vtipnými melódiami na pobavenie širokého stáda. A rozhodli sme sa, že možno áno, že tu stále máme čo povedať.
COLD: Práve počas lockdownu mi Ghorth začal posielať nejaké nápady a demo nahrávky. Boli sme znudení ako sviňa a skúšali sme zväčša u seba doma. Vtipné je, že sme nikdy neskúšali spolu, do Moontower štúdia sme sa dostali až keď sa obmedzenia trochu zmiernili, a prekvapivo sme ten materiál nahrali celkom rýchlo. V porovnaní s inými nahrávkami to nezabralo veľa času. Išli sme rovno na vec!
Takisto bolo skvelé prvýkrát nahrávať s Markusom (NalghaLord), ktorý sa ku kapele pridal pred 9 rokmi ako živý vokalista a konečne máme nahrávku s jeho pekelným vokálom.
Dohledal jsem si, že pod nahráváním jsou podepsáni Javi Bastard a pod masteringem Dan Swanö. Musím potvrdit, že zvuk doslova zabíjí. Pořád mě to nutí na hi-fi věži přidávat volume. Oba pánové vám vytvořili zvuk, který je krutý, surový a zároveň temný a živočišný. Jak se vám s nimi spolupracovalo a proč právě oni? V jakém studiu jste nahrávali a jak vše probíhalo?
Javi Bastard je jedným z našich najstarších priateľov na tejto scéne. Poznáme sa od nášho prvého albumu, ktorý sme nahrali v jeho Moontower štúdiu v roku 2005. S GRAVEYARD sme odohrali niekoľko zabijáckych koncertov a pred niekoľkými rokmi sme absolvovali aj úžasné turné, takže voľba bola viac než jasná. Okrem toho, že je to náš dobrý kamarát, je to aj skvelý producent a zvukový inžinier. Za tie roky sme všetci pribrali, stratili vlasy, rozviedli sa, žerieme ako prasatá, chlastáme, fajčíme, grgáme, prdíme a počúvame heavy metal z 80. rokov, ako aj takmer všetku hudbu... teda okrem tých mysoginistických sloních sračiek ako "trap" alebo "reaggeton" a všetkých tých oslích grcajúcich vreskotov, ktoré chrlia retardovaní nevzdelaní kvázi metalisti, ktorí ani nevedia rozprávať ako normálni ľudia, len chrlia nezmyselné slová bez toho, aby ich vedeli vysloviť. Zasraná banda mentálne retardovaných idiotov, ktorí nosia ružové gaťky po babičkách. Takže ešte raz: voľba bola viac než jasná.
Všetko sa odohralo v jeho štúdiu Moontower a je cítiť, že všetka tá nenávisť a agresia je tam stále prítomná. Ba čo viac, narástla o 2000% !!!!!
Nedílnou součástí a jakýmsi bonusem navíc je pro fanoušky dnes CD. Vy jste jej vydali u F.D.A. Records a je opatřeno mrtvolným obalem. Autorem je César Valladares Fernández. Jak jste motiv vybírali a jak souvisí s hudbou na novince?
GHORTH: Cesar je náš basgitarista a je to asi najretardovanejší a najviac chorý jedinec z nás všetkých... ten chlap je skurvený blázon... rád masturbuje a strká si do zadku pero, pričom sedí v člne a loví ryby v nejakých stratených jazerách plných jadrového odpadu a retardovanej ľudskej spodiny po celej krajine. Tam asi raz skončí kvôli tým jeho chorým nápadom na obaly!!!
COLD: Hah, áno, je to zhruba tak, haha. S ilustrovaním pre kapely som skončil už pred nejakým časom, momentálne som príliš zaneprázdnený, ale cítil by som sa divne, keby som požiadal niekoho iného, aby urobil obálku pre náš album. Chcel som vytvoriť niečo iné ako moje obvyklé čiernobiele návrhy. V čase, keď som navrhoval obal prvého albumu som nemal ani poňatia o maľovaní, výsledok (podľa mňa) bola amatérska sračka. Prepracoval som logo kapely, aby zodpovedalo hudbe, a uvažoval som o plnofarebnom dizajne, ktorý by vykresľoval naše hlavné motívy: Satanské veci, vojna, hnev na to, v čo sa ľudstvo zmenilo. Myslím, že sa to celkom dobre podarilo a hodí sa to k našej hudbe a k tomu, čo kapela v súčasnosti predstavuje.
Toulám se podsvětím již přes třicet let a do Španělska si chodím pro muziku vlastně na jistotu. Myslím, že máme podobnou náturu i vkus, co se týká metalu. Mám vaše kapely hodně rád a pečlivě sleduji vaši scénu. Možná vám i trošku závidím, my máme u nás jen pár death metalových smeček, které stojí za to. Čím si to vysvětluješ, že zrovna u vás se death metalu tolik daří? Jak vnímáš vaši scénu, fanoušky, labely?
GHORTH: Pravdepodobne to tak je, pretože bežný Španiel je človek plný nenávisti a závisti. Španiel viac nenávidí, ako miluje, to je isté... a tento chorý stav mysle sa, samozrejme, odráža aj v hudbe. A je to dobré!!! Veľa skvelých kapiel je stále veľmi aktívnych a pumpujú mor a hnis na ľudstvo: Körgull the Exterminator, Graveyard, Ered, Barbarian Swords, Redimoni, Balmog, Omission, Devotion a podobne. A radšej nech je to tak, kamarát. Takže hádam je naša krajina hudobne stále zdravá, pokiaľ sa tu stále nájdu hŕby nenávistných indivíduí. Navyše sme vždy boli hrdí a násilní a nemáme radi, keď nás niekto poučuje.
COLD: Aj keď už nie som na scéne toľko zainteresovaný ako pred niekoľkými rokmi, myslím si, že v posledných rokoch sa objavili naozaj zaujímavé kapely. V posledných šiestich rokoch sa deathmetalové koncerty konajú takmer každý týždeň pre miestne undergroundové kapely. Najväčší boom zažíva mainstreamový "black metal", na ktorom sa snažia kapely zarobiť. Deväťdesiat percent ľudí sa o underground nezaujíma a viac ich zaujíma pózovanie a cool vzhľad na Instagrame. Nové veci veľmi nepočúvam, ale rád by som čitateľom odporučil niekoľko najzaujímavejších kapiel zo Španielska v súčasnosti: Trollcave, Cruz, Necroracle, Horripilant, Avern, Leprophiliac, Sanctuarium, Jade, Apparition a Orthodoxy.
Hrajete death metal ovlivněný starou školou. Dnes se vlastně kapela nemůže vyhnout srovnání, mě by ale zajímalo, jak vlastně vznikl nápad založit DECAPITATED CHRIST, kdo byl a je vaším vzorem a kam vaši kapelu chcete posunout? Lákají vás třeba velké zahraniční festivaly, jste ochotni vyrazit na turné s nějakou slavnější smečkou?
GHORT: Začali sme v roku 2005... v tom čase to na scéne vrelo. V priebehu rokov veľa kapiel zjemnilo svoj zvuk, ale stále sú tu tí starí páprdovia hroziaci päsťami vo vzduchu, ktorí dokážu otvoriť peklo, ako napríklad kapely spomenuté v mojej predchádzajúcej odpovedi.
Idoly? No taaaaak!!! Na výber sú ich stovky: King Diamond, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Saxon, Agent Steel, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Camilo Sesto, Rick Astley, Nino Bravo, David Hasselhoff, Rush, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Police, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Mercyful Fate, Diamond Head, Tygers of Pan Tang, Mekong Delta, Europe, Fates Warning, Queensrÿche, Omen, Frank Sinatra, Hans Zimmer, Helloween, Accept, Iced Earth, Iron Angel, Manowar, Megadeth, Michael Schenker, Scorpions, Ozzy Osbourne, Pretty Maids, Queen, Psychotic Waltz, Riot, Modern Talking, Samantha Fox. ... je ich príliš veľa na to, aby sme ich tu vymenúvali, kamarát!!!
Festivaly, turné, atď... úprimne, nemám predstavu... ak nás pozvú na nejaký super koncert, festival alebo čokoľvek iné, samozrejme, že to zvážime a bolo by to veľmi fajn. Ale úprimne, nebudem si kvôli tomu robiť starosti. Ak sa to ľuďom bude páčiť natoľko, že nás prídu pozrieť naživo, tým lepšie, samozrejme. Ak nie, netrápi ma to viac ako farba hovna mojich psov. Teraz fakt hovorím úprimne: všetci máme svoje životy, svoje každodenné zamestnania, svoje rodiny a všetci máme po štyridsiatke... radi by sme hrali naživo, samozrejme, ale ak sa to z nejakého dôvodu nestane, je to úplne v poriadku. Scéna sa za posledné 3 roky veľmi vyvinula a vyvinula sa k oveľa horšiemu, ako to bolo pred 10 rokmi, takže...
COLD: Haha, OK, nie som na sračky typu Camilo Sesto alebo „cheesy“ veci ako Ghorth, sorry. Vyhnem sa vymenovaniu stoviek kapiel, čím som starší, tým viac sa vraciam ku klasike, ale ak by som mal spomenúť len 5 kapiel, boli by to Motörhead, Mercyful Fate, Carnivore, Autopsy a Bathory, hádam.
Nemám žiadnu potrebu hrať naživo, rozhodli sme sa, že nebudeme hrať v barcelonských krčmách pre 20 ľudí ako predtým, ani na turné, pretože nám zaberajú príliš veľa voľného času a my sme na to príliš zaneprázdnení v našich zamestnaniach. Festivaly by boli super, a samozrejme divoké koncerty ako ten, ktorý sme hrali v Prahe v roku 2015!!!
Když jsem před šesti lety zakládal svoje stránky, měl jsem vizi, že se budu snažit podporovat kapely, které podle mě nejsou tolik na očích. Dát o nich vědět světu. Myslím, že se mi to celkem daří, alespoň podle ohlasů. Jak přistupujete k propagaci vy? Necháváte to na labelu nebo sami posíláte CD různě na recenze? Já si třeba alba, která mě opravdu baví, kupuji. Jak jste na tom vy? Jste také fanoušci, co rádi a často podporují své kolegy? Chodíte na koncerty? Paříte?
GHORTH: Všetci sledujeme tvoj blog a radi čítame tvoje recenzie, sledujeme tvoje fotky, keď chodíš na koncerty, a vidíme, že stále cítiš tú vášeň, ktorá presahuje pózerský postoj mnohých dnešných kvázi metalistov.
Určite áno!!! Stále radi chodíme na koncerty a stále si všetci kupujeme hudbu, tričká, fanziny atď... Všetci sa stále obliekame ako v dvadsiatke a stále nás to baví. Radi objavujeme nové hodnotné kapely, stále radi počúvame nové albumy a podporujeme všetkých našich priateľov... stále sme v kontakte s mnohými ľuďmi z metalového sveta... to je to, čo nás poháňa, však?
COLD: FDA a Defying Danger sa starajú o všetko, čo sa týka propagácie, sú super profesionáli a to je skvelé, pretože my sme leniví ako sviňa. Dokonca ani netrávime čas na našich profiloch na sociálnych sieťach, haha, samozrejme, udržiavame kontakt s dlhoročnými priateľmi zo zinov a blogov.
Čo sa týka koncertov, ako som povedal, bol som chvíľu mimo miestnej scény, pred pár rokmi sa tam infiltrovalo veľa hlúposti, metaloví "turisti", mladí "študenti metalových archívov", ktorí nemali o ničom ani potuchy a teraz si myslia, že sú guru toho či onoho žánru. Percento debilov na scéne sa zvyšovalo až do takej miery, že som potreboval čas na "detox" od toho všetkého. Na druhej strane, mám teraz veľa povinností a keďže sa nemôžem zúčastniť živého koncertu bez toho, aby som pil ako zver, radšej ich vynechávam, kocovina na mňa v dnešnej dobe dopadá tvrdšie, haha. Ale momentálne chodím čoraz častejšie na koncerty, na tie undergroundové, nezaujímajú ma žiadne veľké mená, aj keď stále počúvam staré kapely, keď hrajú na obrovských preplnených miestach, tak tie koncerty vynechávam.
Na jednu stranu má dnes začínající kapela spoustu možností, jak o sobě dát vědět, ale zase na druhou stranu, skupin je obrovské množství a fanoušci se v nich ztrácejí. Hodně lidí jen stahuje mp3 z internetu a místo koncertu raději plive jedovaté sliny na facebooku. Jak vás, jako DECAPITATED CHRIST ovlivňují moderní technologie? Co si myslíš o stahování muziky, google metalistech, streamování muziky apod.?
GHORTH: Áno, v tomto máš pravdu a úplne s tebou súhlasím. Dokonca sa nájdu aj takí idioti, ktorí píšu priamo kapelám, že práve nahrali ich najnovší album a zavesili ho na web, a dokonca kapelám pošlú odkaz na stiahnutie. Vieš si to predstaviť? Aký zasraný kus ľudského hovna môžete byť, aby ste sa takto správali? Je úplne jasné, že takmer nikto z nás to nerobí preto, aby sa živil death/black metalom, a že každá malá pomoc od priaznivcov/zinov/propagátorov/labelov je pre každú undergroundovú kapelu niečo obrovské. Prečo sa, do prdele, nazývaš podporovateľom a potom kašleš na kapely, ktoré to robia?
Ale na druhej strane, opäť... nikto z nás sa tým nechce živiť a pravdepodobne pár stoviek stiahnutí nás nijako ekonomicky neovplyvní. Ľudia, ktorí majú radi hudbu a majú radi kapely, budú pravdepodobne naďalej kupovať albumy a minú slušnú sumu svojich peňazí na vylepšenie svojej hudobnej zbierky, nie? Aspoň to robí väčšina z nás, ak sa o hudbu naozaj zaujíma a scénu naozaj podporuje.
COLD: Už som to spomínal v poslednej odpovedi, väčšina takzvanej scény je teraz na nič. Všade sú pózeri a internetoví bojovníci. Dopekla, dokonca poznám ľudí, ktorí si kupujú platne len preto, aby zverejnili fotku na Instagrame alebo na akejkoľvek sociálnej sieti a nikdy si ich nevypočujú, len aby vyzerali cool. "Rasa metalových pozérov" je absolútne šialená, míňajú kopu peňazí na bootlegové tričká a disky, aby vyzerali "true", ale kapely sotva podporujú. Z toho všetkého sa mi chce zvracať, človeče. Nemyslím si, že by nás to ovplyvnilo, keďže nemáme veľkú fanúšikovskú základňu, väčšina našich poslucháčov sú starí páprdovia, ktorí pravdepodobne nevedia, čo je Bandcamp, haha.
S oblibou se ptám muzikantů na to, co pro ně znamená death metal. Jak by jej definovali, jestli je pro ně spíše filozofií a životním stylem nebo „jen“ relaxem. Co znamená pro tebe? Jak jej vnímáš a prožíváš?
GHORTH: Po 35 rokoch počúvania hudby, zbierania CD, LP, EP, tričiek, časopisov atď. nemôžeme rozmýšľať inak ako o metale všeobecne. Nezašiel by som tak ďaleko, aby som ho rozdelil na subžánre, pretože všetci počúvame heavy metal, speed, thrash, death, black atď... však?
Ja osobne som stále hardrockový a heavy metalový maniak a milujem takmer všetky subžánre, ale je pravda, že určité prístupy v živote sú nejakým spôsobom ovplyvnené hudbou a životným štýlom, ktorý nás už tak dlho baví. Za tých 35 rokov sa udialo veľa vecí, ale metal tu bol vždy, nech sa dialo čokoľvek. A naša láska k hraniu death metalu je aj po toľkých rokoch stále nedotknutá. Pre nás je to tá najagresívnejšia, najbrutálnejšia, najtemnejšia a najpekelnejšia hudba, aká existuje, a je to dokonalý prostriedok na šírenie nášho posolstva, nášho presvedčenia a našej vízie.
COLD: Death, doom a black metal sú pre mňa základom života už od tínedžerského veku, mám veľa záujmov, ale bez extrémneho metalu a undergroundového cítenia by som nedokázal žiť.
Neviem si spomenúť na žiadnu inú hudbu, ktorá by pre mňa toľko znamenala alebo ma napĺňala. Počúvam aj iné žánre, ale aj keď sa ich snažím mať rád tak, ako mám rád metal, nikdy na mňa jednoducho nezapôsobia rovnako. Samozrejme, nepatrím k tým, ktorí chodia do práce, akoby bol každý deň Halloween, a pri pozdrave suseda v supermarkete dvíhajú rohy. Svoju "metalovú oddanosť" si rád nechávam pre seba. Nech už ma život zavedie kamkoľvek, som si istý, že sa budem v undergrounde hrabať ďalej, či už to bude kupovanie a počúvanie hudby, čítanie zinov alebo samotné hranie metalu až do konca mojich dní.
Na závěr klasická, ale důležitá otázka. Co chystají DECAPITATED CHRIST v nejbližších měsících? Kde vás můžeme vidět na koncertě?
GHORTH: To bude samozrejme závisieť od prijatia tohto nového albumu a od promotérov. Album vyšiel len pred týždňom (6.10.2023, pozn. aut.) a je ešte trochu skoro hovoriť o koncertoch alebo dokonca o turné. Samozrejme, sme otvorení hraniu, pretože to je to, čo prichádza po každom novom vydaní, takže, budeme mať uši otvorené a uvidíme, či sa nám čoskoro podarí urobiť nejaké super koncerty. Zostaňte naladení!
COLD: Dúfajme, že sa podarí zorganizovať nejaké koncerty alebo festivaly mimo Španielska! Rád by som si opäť zahral v Nemecku, Francúzsku, Taliansku alebo Českej republike.

Další mrtvola pohozená u cesty. Vyděšená tvář, polámané kosti. Šokuje nás brutalita útoku a také zvláštní otisky zubů. Bylo to zvíře nebo člověk? Našlapuješ opatrně, abys nezničil stopy. Máš neodbytný pocit, že se někdo dívá. Z nedalekého lesa. Oči ve tmě, žhnoucí a plné nenávisti. Modlíš se k nebi i peklu, ale šílenství pokračuje. Když potkáte zlo v jeho čisté, krystalické podobě, tak máte dvě možnosti. Buď jej zničíte a nebo mu podlehnete. Bestie touží po krvi.
Zvláštní pocit mám i při poslechu nové desky finských SEPULCHRAL CURSE. Sleduji jejich vývoj od začátku a líbí se mi, jakým směrem se kapela posouvá. Letos pánové přicházejí s novinku "Abhorrent Dimensions", která je plná krvavých otisků, tajemných stínů a melodií, které si dovedu představit, že je budu poslouchat na místech, na kterých se stalo něco ošklivého. Novinka má mlhavě podmanivou atmosféru. Ihned se stala mým každodenním pokrmem. Nahrubo nasekaná tma!
Letos přichází kapela s velmi pestrou nahrávkou. Během poslechu jsem měl stále pocit, že mě někdo sleduje, že se topím, že mi na prsou stojí tíha celého světa. Finové umí být krutí a syroví, melodičtí, záhadní, divocí a nebál bych se napsat i melancholičtí. SEPULCHRAL CURSE vybrousili svůj styl k dokonalosti. Postupně přidávám hlasitost a ohlížím se za sebe, jestli po mě nejde bestie. Zvuk je vynikající (Tomi Uusitupa - mixing, recording, producer, Are Kangus - mastering) a dodává albu na ještě větší uvěřitelnosti. Připadám si, že mám polámané všechny kosti v těle. Vše potom krásně doplňuje zajímavý a neotřelý obal (Erskine Designs). Pokud máte jako já rádi kombinaci blacku a death metalu, dostanete hudbu, která vám začne ihned proudit v žilách. Pro fanoušky třeba takových INCANTATION, CORPSESSED, GOREPHILIA, SULPHUR AEON, DEMILICH, ADRAMELECH, CONVULSE, LURK, DEMIGOD, je potom letošní počin doslova povinností. Mám rád, když se mohu toulat temnotou a "Abhorrent Dimensions" je albem, které mi to umožňuje. Ztrácím se v morbidních představách, ohledávám další místa, na kterých se stalo něco zlého. Snažím se přejít na druhou stranu, do země nekonečných stínů. Jsou to hlavně pochmurné a nihilistické nálady, které dělají z této nahrávky něco navíc. Ne, tohle není jen obyčejná deska, tady máme co do činění s pradávnou seancí. Sepněte ruce do kruhu, odříkejte zvrácenou modlitbu. Nebude to dlouho trvat a bestie se objeví! Okultní, mystický black death metalový rituál, plný krvavě temných odstínů! Vaše duše shoří v plamenech!

I also have a strange feeling when listening to the new album of Finnish SEPULCHRAL CURSE. I've been following their development since the beginning and I like the direction the band is moving in. This year the gentlemen come with the new release "Abhorrent Dimensions" which is full of bloody fingerprints, mysterious shadows and melodies that I can imagine listening to in places where something nasty happened. The new album has a vaguely haunting atmosphere. It immediately became my daily meal. Coarsely chopped darkness!
This year the band comes with a very varied record. While listening to it, I always had the feeling that someone was watching me, that I was drowning, that the weight of the world was on my chest. Finns can be cruel and raw, melodic, mysterious, wild and I wouldn't be afraid to write melancholic. SEPULCHRAL CURSE have honed their style to perfection. I gradually turn up the volume and look behind me to see if the beast is after me. The sound is excellent (Tomi Uusitupa - mixing, recording, producer, Are Kangus - mastering) and adds even more believability to the album. I feel like every bone in my body is broken. Everything is then beautifully complemented by the interesting and novel cover art (Erskine Designs). If, like me, you like the combination of black metal and death metal, you'll get music that will start flowing through your veins immediately. For fans of such bands as INCANTATION, CORPSESSED, GOREPHILIA, SULPHUR AEON, DEMILICH, ADRAMELECH, CONVULSE, LURK, DEMIGOD, this year's event is literally a must. I love being able to wander through the darkness and "Abhorrent Dimensions" is the album that allows me to do that. I lose myself in morbid imaginings, looking back at other places where something bad happened. I try to cross over to the other side, to the land of endless shadows. It's mainly the gloomy and nihilistic moods that make this record something extra. No, this isn't just an ordinary record, we're dealing with an ancient séance here. Měl to být krásný den plný světla a dobré nálady. Všechno se změnilo během několika okamžiků. Záblesk nože, proříznuté hrdlo. Padáš k zemi a přemýšlíš, proč právě ty. Ještě si měl tolik plánů, ještě si toho chtěl tolik udělat. Místo toho ležíš v listí a plazí se po tobě červi. Procesy hnití započaly. Najdou tě náhodou a uloží do chladné márnice. Nikdo nic nevyšetřuje, nikdo se nediví velké ráně na tvém krku. Tvoje duše bude navěky bloudit mezi naším a oním světem a poslouchat novou desku INCREMATE z Drážďan.
Nedávno jsem v tomhle krásném městě byl a toulal jsem se ulicemi. Navštívil jsem všechny památky a dostal se i do podzemí. Troufám si tvrdit, že někde zde musela nová deska "Unexposed" vznikat. Je nebývale prašivá a shnilá. Smrdí jako stará mršina, jako moje tělo, když jej ukládali do mělkého hrobu. Tady se hraje pravý, nefalšovaný death metal!
V současné době je spousta smeček, které se snaží hrát postaru. Jen některým se ale daří přenést náladu a duši starých časů do současnosti. Němcům se to daří na výbornou. Zvuk, obal, nápady, tohle všechno zní jako vytažené z čerstvě exhumovaného hrobu. Fanoušci třeba takových OBITUARY, JUNGLE ROT, DEATH, PESTILENCE, MASSACRE, GRAVE, ASPHYX, BOLT THROWER, budou určitě spokojeni jako já. Podobný smrtící kov se musí hrát srdcem, musí být narvaný temnou energií a zkaženou krví. INCREMATE tohle všechno umí a předkládají nám vše velmi zkušeně a elegantně. Připadám si, jako bych se znovu toulal ulicemi. Moje kroky mě zavedou na hřbitov. Sestoupím do podzemí a nasávám atmosféru. Je plná plísně a strachu. Také slyšíte šepot nemrtvých? Já ano, protože tohle album řeže tou správnou stranou nože. Pánové sice nepřinášejí nic nového, ani převratného, ale pro mě je hrozně důležité, že jim věřím každou notu, každý tón. Bývám poslední dobou znechucený z lidstva jako celku. Raději zhasnu všechna světla a poslouchám podobné nahrávky, jako je "Unexposed". Mezi přízraky je mi lépe, nic mě nebolí. Jenom já a muzika, jenom já a prašivé riffy, chorobný vokál a zničující bicí. Jsem starým hrobníkem, který poslouchá už jenom to, co se mu líbí. INCREMATE mi udělali opět velkou radost. Kývám se do rytmu a kopu další hrob. Přesně takhle to mám rád, přesně takhle se mi to líbí. Morbidní, mokvající death metalová mršina, která vám prokousne hrdlo! Old school maniaci v plné síle!

I was recently in this beautiful city and wandered the streets. I visited all the sights and went underground. I dare to say that somewhere the new record "Unexposed" must have been made here. It's unusually dusty and rotten. It smells like old carrion, like my body when they put it in a shallow grave. This is where true, unadulterated death metal is played!
Nowadays there are a lot of packs that try to play the old fashioned way. But only some manage to bring the mood and soul of the old days into the present. The Germans are doing a great job. The sound, the cover art, the ideas, it all sounds like it's been pulled from a freshly exhumed grave. Fans of such bands as OBITUARY, JUNGLE ROT, DEATH, PESTILENCE, MASSACRE, GRAVE, ASPHYX, BOLT THROWER, will surely be as satisfied as I am. Similar death metal must be played with heart, it must be packed with dark energy and corrupted blood. INCREMATE can do all of this and they present everything to us in a very skilled and elegant manner. I feel like I'm wandering the streets again. My footsteps lead me to the cemetery. I descend into the underground and soak up the atmosphere. It's full of mould and fear. Do you also hear the whispers of the undead? I do, because this album cuts with the right side of the knife. The gentlemen don't bring anything new or groundbreaking, but for me it's very important that I trust them with every note, every tone. I've been disgusted with humanity as a whole lately. I prefer to turn off all the lights and listen to records like "Unexposed". I'm better among the phantoms, nothing hurts. Just me and the music, just me and the mangy riffs, the sick vocals and the devastating drums. I'm an old grave digger who only listens to what he likes anymore. INCREMATE made me very happy again. I sway to the beat and dig another grave. That's how I like it, that's how I like it. Morbid, pissing death metal carrion that will bite your throat! Old school maniacs in full force!
