Nevím, kolik ještě najdu dalších těl. Nekonečný zástup nemrtvých, naříkajících, řvoucích, toužících po krvi, čeká na osvobození. Kdysi mučeni, znásilňováni, páleni žhavým železem, drceni na prach, touží po pomstě, po krvi. Strážcem temnoty jsem se stal na konci osmdesátých let minulého století a stále vyhledávám kapely, o kterých si myslím, že dokáží svojí hudbou znázornit mrtvolnou a chladnou atmosféru starých pohřebišť.
S německými RECKLESS MANSLAUGHTER jsme se na našich stránkách již setkali v roce 2019, u příležitosti vydání jejich alba "Caverns of Perdition". Již tenkrát se mi líbil způsob, jakým kapela přistupuje ke své morbidní práci. Nové album jenom potvrzuje nastavený směr. Do ještě větší temnoty, do záhrobí, do samotného pekla.
I letos naleznete ve skladbách surový rytmus, riffy ohlodané na kost, temnotu i chlad, ale hlavně doom a death metal v jejich děsivé podobě. Pokud máte rádi kapely jako BOLT THROWER, MORBID ANGEL, DISMEMBER, GRAVE, ENTOMBED, ASPHYX, SINISTER, DEMIGOD, BENEDICTION, potom jste zde správně. Zkrátka a dobře, Němci přesně pochopili, o čem starý prašivý death metal je, nechali se inspirovat u těch nejpovolanějších a ještě navíc přidali spoustu svých nápadů a invence. Povedl se i zvuk, který je náležitě masivní, prašivý a zároveň čitelný (Jörg Uken - recording, mastering, mixing). Miluji černobílé obaly a tak se mi líbí i motiv od Lucase Korteho. Krásně morbidně doplňuje celkovou atmosféru tohoto povedeného alba. Jestli mi u minulé nahrávky chyběl trošku větší drive a energie, tak tentokrát jsem vše dostal naservírované na víku od rakve. Je pro mě velmi příjemné se nechat zavřít do starých katakomb, ohledávat další mrtvoly, rozmlouvat s démony, sledovat, jak živí přecházejí na druhou stranu. Hraje mi u toho "Sinking into Filth", kývám se spokojeně do rytmu, kopu další mělký hrob. Možná mě jednou sežerou červi a shniju ve studené zemi, ale než se tak stane, tak budu tuhle desku poslouchat stále dokola. Skladby jsou napsány velmi uvěřitelně, opravdově, přesvědčivě. Kapele se povedlo mě rozsekat na malé kousky. Je na čase se znovu vydat na cestu bez konce. Do ještě větší temnoty, do záhrobí, do samotného pekla. Starodávné death metalové drcení plesnivých kostí! Smrt přichází z absolutní temnoty!

We have already met Germany's RECKLESS MANSLAUGHTER in our pages in 2019, on the occasion of the release of their album "Caverns of Perdition". Even then, I liked the way the band approached their morbid work. The new album only confirms the set direction. Into even greater darkness, into the beyond, into hell itself.
Again this year you will find raw rhythm, riffs gnawed to the bone, darkness and coldness, but mainly doom and death metal in their terrifying form. If you like bands like BOLT THROWER, MORBID ANGEL, DISMEMBER, GRAVE, ENTOMBED, ASPHYX, SINISTER, DEMIGOD, BENEDICTION, then you are here. In short, the Germans have understood exactly what the old dusty death metal is all about, they have been inspired by the most authoritative ones and they have added a lot of their own ideas and inventiveness. The sound is also properly massive, dusty and at the same time legible (Jörg Uken - recording, mastering, mixing). I love the black and white covers and so I like the Lucas Korte motif as well. It beautifully morbidly adds to the overall atmosphere of this hilarious album. If I missed a bit more drive and energy with the last record, this time I got everything served on a coffin lid. It's very pleasant for me to be locked in the old catacombs, looking for more corpses, talking to demons, watching the living cross over to the other side. "Sinking into Filth" plays, I sway contentedly to the beat, digging another shallow grave. Maybe one day I'll be eaten by worms and rot in the cold earth, but until that happens, I'll listen to this record over and over again. The songs are written in a very believable, real, convincing way. The band managed to cut me into small pieces. It's time to embark on a journey without end again. Into even greater darkness, into the beyond, into hell itself. The ancient death metal crushing of moldy bones! Death comes from absolute darkness!
