Podle současného stavu vědy absolutní tma neexistuje. Jenže my, staří fanoušci extrémního metalu a klasických sci-fi knih moc dobře víme, že to není pravda. Temnota, velmi často obsažená v našem podvědomí, k nám proudí z dalekého vesmíru. Je opravdu těžké to nějakým způsobem umělecky uchopit. Jsou ale kapely, které to umí. Novinka amerických death metalistů BLOOD INCANTATION je toho jasným důkazem.
Stačí několik prvních poslechů a ihned je jasné, že tu máme opět co do činění s velmi pestrým a zajímavým materiálem. Základem je stále tradiční death metal, jeho brutalita a špinavost. Přidávány jsou potom velmi elegantně a zkušeně další progresivní prvky. Atmosféra je velmi podmanivá, těkavá, zpočátku možná trošku neuchopitelná. Po nějakém čase se ale vše usadí a vy budete létat mezi hvězdami a dívat se shora na lidské snažení.
Na novince zazní jak odkazy na kapely typu TIMEGHOUL, DEMILICH, GORGUTS, DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, NUCLEUS, MITHRAS, tak i na prog rock sedmdesátých let (PINK FLOYD, GENESIS). Na novince se mi líbí, že tu máme co do činění nejen s technicky velmi zdatnými muzikanty, ale i se skvěle napsanými skladbami. Jako bych opravdu letěl mezi vzdálenými planetami, navštěvoval jiné kultury. Je ze mě intergalaktický poutník, který sleduje z dálky zánik naší planety. Hledáme spolu s kapelou signál z temnoty, tančíme ve stavu beztíže. BLOOD INCANTATION se snaží posouvat hranice, ale dělají to srozumitelně a nové album "Absolute Elsewhere" se opravdu dobře poslouchá. Naleznete na něm spoustu zajímavých momentů, pasáží, které si budete pamatovat a rádi se k nim vracet. Samozřejmostí je dobře čitelný, majestátní zvuk (Hansa Tonstudio v Berlíně). Zaujme i obal s motivem pyramid, který krásně doplňuje předkládanou hudbu (Steve R Dodd). Novou desku nelze jinak, než doporučit všem, kteří rádi objevují, nechávají se unášet na vlnách, mají velkou představivost a fantazii. Nahrávka se mi dostala do podvědomí, zadřela se mi pod kůži. Neznám nic lepšího, než si jen tak číst dobré sci-fi a poslouchat. Nabíjí mě to energií, silou. Čerpám ji z věčnosti, z nekonečna, z dalekých světů. Podle současného stavu vědy absolutní tma neexistuje. Temnota, velmi často obsažená v našem podvědomí, k nám proudí z dalekého vesmíru. A teď už mě prosím nechte, musím odletět. Majestátní, mocné ozvěny, progresivní death metal s chladnou a temnou aurou! Mýtické signály ze vzdálených planet!

According to the current state of science, absolute darkness does not exist. But we old fans of extreme metal and classic sci-fi books know very well that this is not true. The darkness, very often contained in our subconscious, comes to us from a distant universe. It's really hard to grasp it in any artistic way. But there are bands that can do it. The new album by American death metallers BLOOD INCANTATION is a clear proof of that.
Just a few first listens and it is immediately clear that we are once again dealing with very varied and interesting material. The basis is still traditional death metal, its brutality and dirtiness. Then other progressive elements are added very elegantly and skilfully. The atmosphere is very captivating, volatile, maybe a bit ungraspable at first. But after a while everything settles down and you'll be flying among the stars and looking down on the human endeavour.
The new album features references to bands such as TIMEGHOUL, DEMILICH, GORGUTS, DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, NUCLEUS, MITHRAS, as well as prog rock of the seventies (PINK FLOYD, GENESIS). What I like about the new album is that we are dealing not only with technically very proficient musicians, but also with well-written songs. It's like really flying between distant planets, visiting other cultures. I'm an intergalactic traveler watching the demise of our planet from afar. My band and I are looking for a signal from the darkness, dancing in weightlessness. BLOOD INCANTATION tries to push the boundaries, but they do it in an understandable way and the new album "Absolute Elsewhere" is really good to listen to. You'll find a lot of interesting moments on it, passages that you'll remember and like to come back to. Of course there is a clear, majestic sound (Hansa Tonstudio in Berlin). The pyramid-themed cover artwork also impresses, and beautifully complements the music presented (Steve R Dodd). The new album cannot but be recommended to all those who like to explore, let themselves be carried away on the waves, have a great imagination and imagination. The record got into my subconscious, it got under my skin. I know nothing better than just reading good science fiction and listening. It energizes me, energizes me. I draw it from eternity, from infinity, from worlds far away. According to the current state of science, absolute darkness does not exist. Darkness, very often contained in our subconscious, flows to us from a distant universe. And now, please leave me alone, I must go.
