Nejdřív si nepamatuji vůbec nic. Probudím se na chladné zemi a kolem mě jsou samé náhrobky. Podivné stíny, šeptající ve tmě. Kříže, obrácené směrem dolů. Zápach rozkládajících se těl, nářek nemrtvých. Kosti, rozpadající se pomalu v prach. Procházím se mezi hroby a přemýšlím, jak jsem se zde ocitl. Někdo mi prořízne hrdlo a také mi prozradí, že jsem poslouchal stále dokola nové EP mexických maniaků UNDERTOMB.
Cítím pach smrti, užívám si chladné melodie i temnotu, které odkapávají ze skladeb jako krev z čerstvě proříznuté tepny. Kapelu jsem objevil při svých nekonečných toulkách podzemím. Poslechl jsem si několik ukázek a řekl si, že musím sepsat recenzi. Tohle EP totiž hoří jasným černým plamenem. Doporučuji poslouchat v absolutní tmě a špíně.
Mexičané se volně inspirovali starými švédskými kapelami, ale i dalšími, surovými směry. Není to zase tolik důležité. Hlavní je celkový dojem, takový ten heavy efekt, nahrubo nasekaná tma, které jsou z novinky cítit jako odér z dlouho uleželé mrtvoly. Skladby jsou nahrané poctivě, upřímně, reálně a mají surový chladný zvuk. Mám to takhle rád, koneckonců jsem na konci osmdesátých a počátku devadesátých let muziku objevoval. Líbí se mi ale nejen přístup a zvuk, s chutí se podívám i na černobílý, stylový obal. Hlavní jsou ale jako vždy nápady, kterých je na EP "Rituale Noctis" velké množství. Už jste někdy přes noc drtili staré kosti? V chladné márnici? Tak ani nemusíte, tahle smečka vám zprostředkuje stejný zážitek. Zombie vylézají z hrobů, rakve pukají tlakem a mě se líbí, jaký má tahle smečka rukopis i přístup. Možná se jednou také rozpadnu v prach, ale dokud budu moci, tak budu podobnou hudbu podporovat. Má v sobě totiž velkou sílu a energii. Až se zase setmí a mraky padnou k zemi, tak budu následovat svoji cestu bez konce. Mé kroky mě dovedou na starý hřbitov za městem. The smell of decomposing bodies, the cries of the undead. Bones slowly crumbling to dust. I walk among the graves, wondering how I came to be here. Someone slits my throat and also tells me that I've been listening to the new EP by Mexican maniacs UNDERTOMB over and over again.
I can smell the stench of death, enjoying the cold melodies and the darkness that drip from the songs like blood from a freshly cut artery. I discovered the band during my endless underground wanderings. I listened to a few samples and thought I had to write a review. This EP burns with a bright black flame. I recommend listening in absolute darkness and dirt.
The Mexicans were loosely inspired by the old Swedish bands, but also by other, more raw directions. It's not that important. The main thing is the overall impression, that heavy effect, the roughly chopped darkness, which the novelty reeks of like the odour of a long-laid corpse. The songs are recorded honestly, honestly, realistically and have a raw cold sound. I like it that way, after all I was discovering music in the late eighties and early nineties. But it's not just the approach and sound that I like, I'm also keen to check out the black and white, stylish cover art. But the main thing, as always, are the ideas, of which there are plenty on the "Rituale Noctis" EP. Have you ever crushed old bones overnight? In a cold morgue? Then you don't have to, this pack will give you the same experience. The zombies are crawling out of their graves, the coffins are bursting with pressure and I like the signature and attitude of this pack. I may one day crumble into dust too, but as long as I can, I will support music like this. It has a lot of power and energy in it. When it gets dark again and the clouds fall to the ground, I will follow my path without end. My footsteps will lead me to the old cemetery outside the city. At first I remember nothing. Bones slowly crumbling to dust. I walk among the graves, wondering how I came to be here. Dead, morbid, raw and dirty death metal that will bury you alive! The exhumation of filthy coffins!
