Už je to dávno, kdy se mi zdál tenhle děsivý sen. Vracel jsem se v něm na zničenou planetu. Rozbořené domy, smečky lidí v ulicích, kteří se neštítili ničeho. Radioaktivní smog, ohořelé stromy a prach z kostí, který mi křupal pod nohama. Poslední roky to vypadá, že na podobném scénáři úspěšně pracujeme. Chtělo by to nějakou hudbu, nemyslíte?, aby doplnila dystopické nálady, které se vznášejí kolem jako kruté memento.
WORMED se vracejí s další ze svých vesmírných oper. V pozměněné sestavě nám přinášejí technickou, brutální symfonii, která se ihned stane noční můrou všech fanoušků sci-fi. Dívám se na nebe plné hvězd a moc dobře vím, že mesiáš už asi nikdy nepřijde. Novinka je temným opusem naší budoucnosti. Z ran mi teče černá krev.
Přijde mi, že jsou španělští maniaci letos ještě víc temnější, záhadnější. Jako bych se opravdu díval na invazi chladných strojů. Skladby jsou napsány s jediným účelem - roztrhat vás na kusy. Líbí se mi atmosféra, takový ten mrazivý pocit, který musí zažívat vetřelci dobývající nové světy. Brutalita, disonantní melodie, spousta drásajících momentů. Tohle vše zde naleznete, samozřejmě zabalené v post-apokalyptické atmosféře. "Omegon" je pokračováním příběhu Krigshu, hackera časové osy, zapleteného do manipulace s vesmírnými silami. Tematicky je mi nové album velmi blízké a je velkou pravdou, že texty i příběh Španělé umí napsat vynikající. Klidně by mohly vyjít samostatně jako kniha. Kapela si prošla dlouhým vývojem, od roku 1998, kdy byla založena a rozhodně netrpí nadprodukcí. Každý počin je k dokonalosti vybroušeným drahokamem. Pánové mají jasnou vizi, spoustu nápadů a zároveň působí originálně. Mají vlastní rukopis, i když je jasné, že pro své základy volně čerpali inspiraci u smeček jako DEFEATED SANITY, CRYPTOPSY, MALIGNANCY, DEVOURMENT, DISGORGE, ORIGIN, BEHEADED. U podobně znějících skupin mám někdy problém, že jsou až příliš neosobní, technické a z hudby se vytrácí živočišnost a působí potom dojmem, že již na nástroje nehrají lidé, ale stroje. U WORMED tohle ale neplatí. Ověřil jsem si to i při živém vystoupení (odkaz je dole pod článkem), na kterém znělo vše ještě víc syrově. O formálních věcech, jako je zvuk, obal a produkce, netřeba psát, vše je na vynikající úrovni. Můžete si tak vychutnat hudbu, která se zde bude hrát, až už budeme všichni spáleni na popel. Dystopický, technický brutální death metal, zničující ozvěny z chladných galaxií! Budoucnost se ukrývá ve tmě!

It's been a long time since I had this terrifying dream. In it, I was returning to a destroyed planet. Broken houses, packs of people in the streets, afraid of nothing. Radioactive smog, charred trees and bone dust crunching under my feet. In recent years, we seem to have been working successfully on a similar scenario. It would take some music, don't you think, to complement the dystopian moods that hover around like a cruel memento.
WORMED are back with another of their space operas. With a changed line-up, they bring us a technical, brutal symphony that will instantly become a nightmare for all sci-fi fans. I look up at a sky full of stars and know full well that the messiah will probably never come again. This new release is a dark opus of our future. My wounds are bleeding black blood.
It seems to me that the Spanish maniacs are even darker this year, more mysterious. It's like I'm really watching a cold machine invasion. The songs are written with one purpose - to tear you apart. I like the atmosphere, the kind of chilling feeling that invaders conquering new worlds must experience. Brutality, dissonant melodies, lots of gut-wrenching moments. All of this can be found here, of course, wrapped in a post-apocalyptic atmosphere. "Omegon" is the continuation of the story of Krigshu, a timeline hacker involved in manipulating cosmic forces. Thematically, the new album is very close to my heart, and it is a great truth that the lyrics and story the Spaniards can write are excellent. They could easily be released separately as a book. The band has gone through a long evolution since 1998 when it was founded and certainly doesn't suffer from overproduction. Every track is a gem cut to perfection. The gentlemen have a clear vision, lots of ideas and at the same time they are original. They have their own handwriting, although it's clear that they drew inspiration for their foundations freely from packs like DEFEATED SANITY, CRYPTOPSY, MALIGNANCY, DEVOURMENT, DISGORGE, ORIGIN, BEHEADED. I sometimes have a problem with similar sounding bands that they are too impersonal, technical and the animalistic quality of the music disappears, giving the impression that the instruments are no longer played by humans, but by machines. But this is not the case with WORMED. I also checked it during a live performance (link is below the article), where everything sounded even more raw. No need to write about formal things like sound, packaging and production, everything is on an excellent level. So you can enjoy the music that will be played here when we're all burnt to ashes. Dystopian, technical brutal death metal, devastating echoes from cold galaxies! The future lies in the dark!
